When is Adam Corolla on the radio? I should look that up on the internet. I used to watch him on Loveline with Dr. Drew on MTV waaaay back in the day. I love that shirt! I don't do sports At. All. So I find that shirt extremely amusing. But I'm a girl, too.
from cardiogirl :
First let me say I am not stalking you, even though most of your notes are from me (insert nervous chuckle here.) Good for you for saying something back to the old bitchy lady. So many times I think to myself, "Apparently you have never had children, lady." But I never say anything. Go Stephanie! You rock!
from cardiogirl :
Again, with the comments. I was going to ask if you had just purchased some bitchin' shoes to go with the dress that is now rightfully yours.
from cardiogirl :
Hey, your comments aren't working! Loved the photo of Hammerhead, it just makes the stories all the more interesting!
from cardiogirl :
I just sent you a quick test note. We'll see if that works...
from cardiogirl :
No, I never got an e-mail from you.
from cardiogirl :
I hope my recent tales haven't freaked you out. Believe it or not, I'm the most normal one of the bunch.
from cardiogirl :
Hi, I tried to e-mail you at [email protected] but it came back as undeliverable. I'd love to chat with you but I don't know if you want to give your e-mail out. Mine is [email protected] I have read the Chronicles of Narnia and am trying to get through The Great Divorce. My husband is a HUGE Lewis fan, however. I find I am identifying with you as well. We have a lot of similarities, Seinfeld, Pulp Fiction, Sex and the City, etc.
from cardiogirl :
Hey, My kids are 6.5 years old, 3.75 years old and 16 months old, all girls. I wonder when I will just own the year they are in, instead of counting the months until they turn the next age. (The middle daughter will be 4 in February and everyone always thinks she's older because she's tall. So when I say, she's 3 they're like wow, she's an amazon. When will she be 4?) Maybe that's part of why I give the half and three-quarters response. Who knows. That's so funny about Steve's fans! He seems like he would be really nice, but maybe he's trying to be a "bad boy" now that he's a bonafide rocker.
from cardiogirl :
Hi Lolly, Yes, mine is a dysfunctional family, but I *think* (hope?) there are crazier families out there. (The funny part is that we haven't even scratched the surface yet. There are so many skeletons in my closet they rattle when you walk past the door.) <p> I do not have a myspace account, but it seems to be what the kids are doing these days. Man, I never thought I would become "un-hip" and not know "what the kids were doing these days" but it appears I am approaching the hipster doofus stage. Lastly, yes ma'am, my therapist is earning every penny I pay her. I do ask her, periodically, is this crazy shit? And she says in a nice, non-threatening way, that it is indeed crazy shit that we will navigate together.
from cardiogirl :
Sorry, I didn't mean to imply you were some kind of poser. I meant to say, keep on posTing.
from cardiogirl :
Hi Lolly, I also wondered about your moniker, but assumed it was a reference to SchoolhouseRock. I always enjoyed the one that taught how to count by 5s. It had a catchy beat and I could dance to it. Also enjoyed the melancholey figure 8 song. Anyway, I just found you recently and have been enjoying your posts. I'm trying to go chronologically and am only at March 2004, but we seem to have a lot in common. Did you ever end up getting a Hoover vacuum that mops and dries the floor all in one? I have a Bissell that does that and I LOVE IT! Keep on posing.
from megsworld2 :
sweet pictures..except the potatoes..I'm so glad you explained that one.
from steveno1 :
"Last night I talked to Jason in Dallas. We had a bond in college because we were the only two people from Wichita Falls who went to Texas State" WTF?!? I love you too.
from apostrophe22 :
She's so cute! :)
from rhotherad :
Speaking of The Omen, have you seen Hostel? It is cheesy, extremely gorey and disturbing and I loved it. pie
from rhotherad :
I just ate a sweet and salty peanut granola for the first time today and fell in love. So much that i bought two more. How ironic that i discovered the treat the same day I read this entry. (before reading it) Thanks soooo much for my happy CD. The willie nelson songs are of course my favorites. Hope all is rad. i signed up for diaryland today for the sole purpose of leaving you messages when i read your awesome blogs. I was so sad that the username pie was already taken. That is supposed to be my username dammit! Pie is what heath calls me (in case i haven't told you) The nickname stuck and me friends call me pie, too. Lots o' Love, Pie aka rho the rad
from jeverettr :
I throw in the towel. Shane's IKEA monologue and Pork's UPS letter are the signs that I have to resign. I haven't laughed like that in weeks. I'm just going to start watching TV again. Koodz.
from jeverettr :
Using your child to get in with your favorite band. Warning: That's how they took Mei Li away from me. Sent her back to China er somethin'.
from decemberguy :
yes, Im in Tx at Sam Houston State in the relative abbatoir that is Huntsville, Tx. Hoping to be back in Wa in a year and a half, with dreams of a cubicle job in Amazon. Yep. My Gf likes Tennis Pro too now, and I happen to think she's almost as cool as Eggars. Almost.
from decemberguy :
That Heart song is called "Alone". P.S. Thanks for recommending Tennis Pro..I'm going to special order their new CD, as well as the most recent U.S.E. cd. I need some Seattle music.
from apostrophe22 :
Aww, I love the picture of the squirrl sleeping with the puppies, it's adorable. :)
from apostrophe22 :
*drools* I love shoes....
from arc-angel666 :
Good Morning Ms Lollygrass: I was surfing the members area when I came across a Lollygrass, odd what's a Lollygrass I asked myself? Why I don't know I replied...investigate? I shall! In the mist of this said investigation I found that a Lollygrass likes the Big Lebowski. Okay, I still don't know what a Lollygrass is but I know she likes the Big Lebowski, which immediate thrust her into a category of high intelligence. I read your last entry, in hopes of identifying the Lollygrass, sadly no mention of the L.G.,I did discover a quest for the perfect shoe and a long drawn out conflict with the Lollygrass and its Mother....Oh my goodness, where are my manners? My name is Michael. And I'm pleased to meet you. With your permission of course I shall begin reading your diary in hopes of learning more about the rare creature known as the Lollygrass. :-)
from decemberguy :
Hey, I read your "Texas" list out loud in my computer lab, and got a laugh. Quite true, I guess. The Dandys aren't very good live in my opinion, so you didn't miss much, imo.
from apostrophe22 :
I love your hair! :)
from apostrophe22 :
oh my god, I was laughing so hard about the stapler thing! :)
from apostrophe22 :
I watch that show a lot too! It's good to know I'm not alone. :)
from apostrophe22 :
I love Office Space! :)
from apostrophe22 :
So how did it go when the "handy man" and I use that term losely with this guy since he didn't sound very handy came over to "lay down some consequences"?
from mousemilk :
Thanks for the nice note!
from decemberguy :
Happy Birthday!!!!
from apostrophe22 :
Congrats! How is big brother doing with the baby so far?
from darkwaltz :
Good luck with the baby!
from apostrophe22 :
Thank you for the movie review, I didn't like the Royal Tenenbaums much either, it was very slow paced and pointless. *hugs* Cults always creep me out.
from apostrophe22 :
That's a pretty bracelet, and I love the Maria Bamford thing, was she the one that wanted a car the ran on rainbows and happiness?
from apostrophe22 :
I can totally relate to the mommy thing, I love my son to pieces but I feel a lot of times like I'm not the best mom.
from apostrophe22 :
lol the lap pillow cracked me up! :)
from apostrophe22 :
*hugs*
from teachin-usa :
Your kid is cute- THANKS! That made me laugh. Just the other day I heard someone tell this guy on the street that his DOG was cute, and the dog owner said THANKS too. I thought the same thing- the dog is his own being after all- you would say: yes, he is cute. Your diary really made me laugh tonight!
from apostrophe22 :
I remember always having the strangest nightmares when I was pregnant. *hugs*
from apostrophe22 :
I totally need to get a new matress.:)
from apostrophe22 :
Tell us the story, I'm curious now. :)
from aleathiad :
isnt it amazing what a little makeup and hair product can do for a person?
from apostrophe22 :
I didn't see Tara Reid, but I saw the Anna Nicole fiasco. I wonder how much of an idiot she feels like today....lol about your mom and the eyeliner tattoo. Love the shoes. :)
from decemberguy :
The biker guy looks canadien, and reminds me of the dude from singles.."I just like the way the world looks from a bicycle." You make one scary Southern Baptist...
from apostrophe22 :
lol, it always cracks me up when guys have long hair and a receeding hairline....it's like trying to make up for something, much? :P
from aleathiad :
ok now that is just so wrong! blech :)=
from apostrophe22 :
I love that 2nd picture, it's just so adorable to see a guy in a pale green t-shirt and socks. :)

from aleathiad :

from aleathiad :
it is funny that you should mention the electoral college deciding our vote. i was listening to npr the other day and they were discussing the pros and cons of electoral college and using just the straight popular vote. of course that was days ago and i am sure that i would paraphrase it wrong since i dont keep politics in my memory banks for too long but the pundit was talking about how the college gives a structure for which presidents and hopefuls campaign around. i guess without this structure there would be more mudslinging than there already is. i am sure they have it on file if you want to check it out. they also talked about not trusting the popular vote because the populus is so easy to sway one way or the other on a daily basis. blah blah blah. i say bring back jimmy too. he was my favorite president and the only one that did anything with his presidential status post-office that is worth talking about. his policies werent so great and we did have a recession then but i still think he has been the only honest president we ever had. i like your ideas on feminism too. i have say that i agree. there is not point in being pissed if you dont use your voice for change and own up your failures along the way. oh but dont get me started on that.
from apostrophe22 :
lol that was just kooky seeing George W flip me the bird. teehee : )
from aleathiad :
that pashima is awesome...hope you put in a bid. i do think jude law is delicious...almost as delicious as ewan mcgregor...yummmmmmmy.
from apostrophe22 :
Cute shoes! :)
from myra-lee :
Hello there! I didn't realize I had a note! Oddly enough, there must be two Livias in New York, since my Livia is from Mexico. Her whole family lives there. That Ashlee Simpson shenanigan was so spectacular! I wish I'd been watching it in real time, but I just saw it on the news.
from aleathiad :
that picture rocks!!!!
from apostrophe22 :
I couldn't help but laugh at the thought of poncho and uggs together. I think they are both hideous. I know who Kate Spade is...but I've never heard of Jack Spade. : )
from aleathiad :
you always seem to make me smile about one thing or another. funny conversation with your mom...i guess funny if you are on the outside looking in that is.
from apostrophe22 :
It's a good thing my mom and I are the same when it comes to voting, we agree on the same issues (for the most part). : ) I liked your arguement though, you had some very good points.
from apostrophe22 :
lol Love the hikus! And I can relate to the unsweetened betrayl, I too have been there. : )
from aleathiad :
that is creepy and eeee-vil. yuck
from apostrophe22 :
lol that is hilarious about the Good Housekeeping magazine! I think the only time I've ever read any of those magazines may have been while I was in a doctor's office waiting room. : )
from apostrophe22 :
hehe, I like that expression too! I have to give props to elton for standing up for something he believed in. I'm not sure if it's true, about Madonna because I've never seen her perform, but there is something wrong with the thought of lip-synching and a live show..especially when hard earned money is involved. Love your layout, by the way. :)
from aleathiad :
i tried once once at taco del mar...just couldnt really dig the fish in a taco...seemed so unmexican to me. i lived in arizona...they never put any fish in their tacos there. i could really go for a jumbo chicken burrito though now that i think of it. mail me one?
from aleathiad :
hey...i found out that i would be a 1974 receipe for fish tacos. yuck.
from candy007 :
No way! Uncle Joey is on the Surreal Life? Damn, I need cable.

No way! Uncle Joey is on the Surreal Life? Damn, I need cable.
from lollygrass :
ohh yeah. Dick's and Sonic are sort of equivelant of each other, except Dick's has better burgers and Sonic has slushes and excellent grilled cheese. I love how Dick's has a painting of a cow behind the counter. Look at what you're about to eat, y'all!
from decemberguy :
How about one day we trade places, you and your family come to Huntsville and eat at Sonic, and I and my girlfriend will come to Seattle and eat at either Ivar's or Dick's. It will be like synchronicity..
from decemberguy :
Hey lollygrass, do you realize that if we played by the right now, we'd be in gym?
from decemberguy :
The Ferris Bueller comment re:Tivo made me laugh out loud. But what can I say that everyone hasn't. Everyone likes you...they think you're a righteous dudette.
from candy007 :
OMG! They have that pudding pop variety pack at the safeway three blocks from my house! Come down and visit us and I will provide the pudding pops!
from kristintracy :
of "blowout", that is.
from kristintracy :
you are not even going to believe this. i missed the final episode due to cable outage. i wonder if they will replay it over and over again during the weekend? hm.
from purplebanana :
Here's something: I recently attended my grandparent's 60th anniversary party. Someone had bought a memory book with a bride and groom on the cover, and then glued pictures of my grandparents' heads to the bodies. About half the family complimented the 'wonderful picture of mom and dad.' Yokels.
from decemberguy :
Holy coincidence..that picture of Doug Henning has been my AIM pic for a couple of months now.As the Doug says, "There's always room for beauty..in the world of magic!!" God bless him. And curses to you for seeing Before Sunrise before I could..
from decemberguy :
Cant get the book in my shitty lil town. May have to try Amazon.

You should check out Emotioneric.com..it's funny.
from decemberguy :
I remember going to the Layne Staley memorial in Seattle Center. An AP reporter came up to us asking how we spelt "Alice in Chains"..and we told her "A-L-L-I-S-O-N..". As sad as that was, LS's death wasn't even half as surprising to me as Cobain's..just really really sad.
from aleathiad :
you crack me up. aleathia
from decemberguy :
Will do. I like the fact that Dave Eggars is writing for Spin now too..
from decemberguy :
I was wondering what you thought of my favorite "Britpop" group..Ash. If you havent heard them, a Supergrass fan would enjoy them, I think.
from decemberguy :
I saw Sondre Lerche play the Crocodile last year, opening for Nada Surf. I thought the same thing..ok..but not exactly mindblowing.
from aleathiad :
what is it about the purple crayon? i was in the kitchen for 5 minutes the other day and went back to the living room to find her eating the purple crayon and since it was washable...it looked like purple lipstick!!! kids..gotta love em. alea
from delintesque :

from decemberguy :
My condolences..
from decemberguy :
Dick's on Broadway!?!Oh, how I miss..
from aleathiad :
i remember when my daughter was only 1 this woman told me i should let the leash loose on my kid because she was acting like a velcro baby. this coming from a woman who has a 12 year old that walks around talking like a baby, still HAS to sit on her fathers lap, and walks around smelling tomatoes. paaaa-lease!! it strikes me as odd that people think you can love your kids too much. that is stupid. i let her take chances all the time. i dont think it is the hormones, i think it is just other peoples rudeness that have you in a tizzy. alea
from aleathiad :
you got that line from porktornado. he's a card. alea
from aleathiad :
happy birthday!!! alea
from aleathiad :
hey...congrats on the new baby coming! i thought you had illuded to it a few blogs ago but i was not sure. i didnt want to be that dumb person that says "hey when er ya due?" and have the woman say "I'm not" (i have done this before and it is woefully embarrassing). hope all goes well for you. by the way..are a nurse? i am in my last semester of nursing school right now. cant wait to be done. alea
from decemberguy :
I like the "Alright" video..racing through the city in a giant bed is the way to go..plus they're paying homage to The Monkees!! Long Live Peter Tork..
from aleathiad :
when i lived in fremont, we were at the wallingford qfc and who should be coming out of hollywood video but dave matthews. of course we were driving through the parking lot and i was stuffing potato chips in my mouth as we went by him. i think i had that "oh-my-god-is-that-really-dave-matthews" look on my face because he smiled and winked at me. that was right before we moved back to ny. i know that he does live in wallingford somewhere near good shepard i think. alea
from decemberguy :
I loved your entry today about church and the Golden Globes. I'm not super religious, but reading something like that makes me want to be..
from aleathiad :
are you in the fremont area? we used to live on 40th and linden right near the buckaroo, across from the playing field near bf day school. i get so homesick for seattle. the only place i ever really felt like myself. thanks for the glimpses into the city and your life. alea
from aleathiad :
yeah...snow in seattle! it is the funniest thing i have ever seen. i think it snowed there 2 times in the 7 years i was there. the city just doesnt know what to do with itself. alea
from aleathiad :
wow...the bad luck with the two year old at the store thing must be in the air. we had a doosy of a time today as well. gotta luv'em though..they are just trying to have fun. alea
from aleathiad :
you are so very hysterical and comforting at the same time. your bit on the parents is sooo funny. ahh...brings back memories. merry christmas. alea
from decemberguy :
Nice to know I'm not the only Seattlite traveling through TX over the holidays. The experience that defines "culture shock"...
from aleathiad :
thank you for your support. just in case you didnt read...it was a calcium deposit and nothing to be alarmed over. hope all is well with you. all my love and light..alea
