Well, if you don't want to take it, don't. If he doesn't get the whole arguement 'Well, you change your name' then he's not going to respond to many other arguements. There are a few options - you could change your name unoffically for social occasions, but keep it your name for professional and official occasions. You could make up an agreement that all children are going to have his name, which may placate him, if you plan to have kids. Personally I like the compromise that you've proposed to him - the middle name one - and really if he doesn't want to do that because he doesn't want to change his name, then he's made your point.

this isn't what you asked, but i found it funny - david's parent's said they named him david because it wasn't common! HELLO!!! it's IN THE BIBLE and all? dude. as for your actualy question, i don't know how you can explain it to him nicely. i know it confused me at work when the spouses don't have the same names. and i'm not attached to mine, so i'll be taking david's someday. are you willing to hyphenate?

I know what you mean about making friends. I have such a hard time with it and concequently have very few - no really good ones in town at all. None that I hang out with on a regular basis. I think you're doing the right thing- trivial pursuit and hot chocolate sounds like heaven!!

I lived in Stephenville for 13 years. When we moved here, we used to go to Corner Brook (And sometimes stephenville) on the weekend quite often. Which means that he can come and visit - since he has a car. It sucks having to have him so far away but it can be worked that he's back at least on the weekends. And chances are, given the deadness of the town, as I saw in September when we went to visit, he'll want to come back, not just to see you, but also to have something to do!!!

About changing your name, I guess it seems like a big thing when you just get married but after a while it didn't make any difference to me. All my things are in different names actually. Here they do it automatically. they suddenly send you a new ID card with your married name..Have a good weekend. Kathy

YOu could do the go-carts or go to marine park. Or, if someone is really organized, you could have a scavenger hunt set up around the city - I had a boyfriend do that for me once and it was really neat. Ok, I didn't have him do it, but he did it and I liked it :) Enjoy!!!

Yup, that's what reel-babies is - a presentation of a new release movie where parents can go with a baby and not worry about them crying all the time. Weird. I've gotten one guestbook entry from someone who I know is in Japan (but I doubt would have gone to my site, for some reason) and another from a similar IP (both started with 219.111.xx.xxx). I don't know if their domain is .jp or related to japan, as I think it's a little late to check my stats. However, I have had a number of .jp guests with similar ips and they've gotten to MY diary from http://girlgenie.signmyguestbook.com. Hmmm... I'll keep an eye on this, kay? That's really odd.
