My best friend (for 15 years now) and I started to have a strained friendship after I had Eli. We don't see each other much since she lives in CA and me in OH but when we'd talk and when I visited and we hung out, things had changed. It's like we had nothing in common anymore, all my life focused on being a mommy and hers was on finishing school and her job. That being said I would never ever have told *her* we couldn't be friends anymore, that's just insane and mean. But I will be truthfull- I stopped takling to her as much because I didn't want to bore her with my family issues and she just honestly didn't understand my baby issues, she couldn't relate, ya know?

BTW, I think its great to hear someone say they are going to wait until the right time, or as right as it can be- obviously the time is never perfect, unless $$ is no object. Too many people just have babies now and then worry later how to feed them. Or they can't afford to take them to the dr's etc. And like you said, you're only 23!! Wait a few more years, get settled into the house etc., maybe a promotion will come along that will make having a baby more of an option. Your friend is stupid!!

I hope your doggy feels better soon. I know what you mean. When you have a good vet, it's worth the long drive, wherever you move to! I have a vet at the end of my road. Everyone asks why I don't go there!! But I found a great vet the other side of my town, and they are reasonably priced and fantastic with my babies! And I always insist on seeing my own personal vet. He's fantastic and always tries to do things as cheap as possible for me! He's so lovely. It's worth the drive! As for Becky, do you mean Betchy?? I really appreciate all the nice words you had for my new adventure! ;-) I totally envy you: Having your own house must be awesome... I know how hard it is getting it all together: When I was a kid, my father (he's an engineer) first built us one home, then, a few years later, decided it wasn't big enough and built another. I guess we spent the first two years in the second new house surrounded by huge heaps of earth, before a garden was created... Anyway, enjoy creating the living surroundings you really dig... I love that song. Btw, it's easy and cheap to play your own music online. I don't do it through D-land. I have a web page that I set up at Yahoo Geo-cities. It cost about 4 dollars a month. Hmm...I had like the exact same feeling when we moved in here. I think the heebie jeebies were from it not being MINE. Then when it was MINE, it wasn't really, kwim? It took a long time for me to excercise the former owners presence out of here. But after a few painted rooms, exterior paint, some replaced windows, some major (MAJOR) yard work, and 6 years, this house is all MINE. And I know what you mean on medication AND the inlaws 'loaning' you money. That was how we got into our house. Then my inlaws thought they could utilize that fact to their advantage (ie, having me work for them doing unspeakable amounts of things and making us feel guilty for the slightest lack of contact with them). Oh yeah... I remember when they'd tell me what I could and could not do to MY house - when we were making the payments. I don't envy you. BUT it does get better! I promise. ;)

Yeah, my birthday this year wasn't the bash of a lifetime either, you're right..after a certain age, they stop getting excited about birthdays. For me, it was age 21. After that, it was like.. Hope you had a nice day yesterday! Yes, I'll have to look into dental schools next time. I know, the cost is amazing- just for basic extractions- no impactions or anything. In fact the dentist said it would be like removing a normal tooth- he said it was up to me if I wanted to be put under, but I opted for that- that cost alone was $285.

First go through your daily living expenses and see if there's anything you can do without. Put things into categories of "luxuries" and "needs". Keep the needs and do away with the luxuries that are really not necessary. Keep some so you don't feel deprived. :) Even little things make a difference. Every paycheck, even if you can only save ten or twenty bucks, it's better than nothing. Set it aside as soon as you get paid.

Time nightclub has just shut down to be refurbished, and they used to do �10 in, and all your drinks were free all night. we liked to refer to it as "drink as much as you can"night!!!

Thanks for your note, I hear you on the check bouncing fees. I had alot of problems with that back when I was living florida, we had to pay 168$ once on accumulated bounced check fees. For small checks, 5$ or 10$, it was horrible. 30 dollars each time a check bounced, usually because we had online banking so our bills would be taken directly out of our account by various companies and if we didn't watch carefully, it was easy to go over. We eventually switched banks.

thank you. like i said if the worst does happen it will be hard to watch him go through it, but i have to stand by him, because he hasnt got many people around that will. last night i almost cried, he told me about one xmas eve when he was using, and he nowhere to go, everyone had turned their back on him, and he went to boss's house to ask for somewhere to stay and boss just said "sorry mate i dont feel well" and shut the door in his face! i said to him, he can stay at mine whenever, no matter what happens i would never turn my back on him. he said he really appreciated that, but there is no way he will let himself be in that position again. i think he was grateful for that fact though. i cant even imagine what he looks like or acts like when he is using, i may not be able to handle it. hopefully i will never have to find out. i cant believe you are only a year older than me and you have been married for 4 years!!! oh my gad!!! i really do wish you every success with your "new venture", speak soon sweetie xxx

thanks, it is hard but i am determined to stick to it. it has been four weeks now, so hopefully soon i will be gorgeous. ooh, the fenton thing. well he used to be a heroin addict, and he was a different person, the type i would never have had anything to do with. then he went to prison, and came out a totally different person (and quite pleasing on the eye i may add). well he has been clean for a long time now, but last wednesday he relapsed. he smoked a pipe of crack and a bag of heroin. when he told me i was so gutted, i felt like i was going to cry. i think he told me, because he respects my opinion (he has told me this) and he knew i would be so dissappointed he would feel like shit. and my reaction made him feel guilty. and the drugs had made him feel ill anyway. he has promised it wont happen again, and what can i do but believe him. at least he told me right? he could have left me none the wiser, at least he respected and trusted me enough. i just need to keep him busy, its when he has time on his hands that he thinks about it. i want to support him i really do. i hope i can manage to be a good enough friend to him. glad your weekend was good sweetie, speak soon **hugz** xxx

Ya, I've heard that quote before about friends. And I can definitely look back and see that certain friends were just meant for that time or a certain purpose. Unfortunately this girl that I wrote about, just seemed like a person that I'd be friends with forever. That's why I was almost sure that she'd get in touch with me, feel the same. Oh well. Maybe now's not a good time. Who knows what she's going through right now. And about the online group, unfortunately it's one that you have to be invited to join. There's only like 15 members now, but I see occasionally they invite new people (like me!) so when they're taking suggestions again, I'll mention you're interested. I know they're very careful, as the group has peoples real names & more private issues, that's why it's by invite. If I knew how to start my own, I might even do that down the road. We'll see. I don't really have time for that right now.

I live about 20 miles north of detroit, in MI- in Madison Heights. I think I know what you mean in that entry- I think when talking with friends, a conversation should be two-sided, sure, sometimes a conversation is going to center more around one person one day, and the next another- but it should be pretty equal. I had a friend that would only talk about herself...and when I talked about stuff, she wouldn't listen. Or sometimes when she'd call, she'd go on and on about her problems, but not ask how I was- for all she knew, I could have been having problems too that I needed to discuss...

lol! My family is the same way with giving us things. As a matter of fact I had an email from my uncle today asking me if I wanted the oversized comfy chair they have in their house. I had to turn it down because we have too much stuff and not enough space! Kevin and I went from this tiny apartment where we only have four major pieces of furniture (the couch, entertainment center, bed and table w/ chairs)I never thought we would fill a house and now I have too much stuff. I do love the camera, I never thought I would need that much camera though, but I am loving it and now the cats run when they hear the zoom lense b/c they know I am going to make that flash go off in their faces. Oh you can ask all the photoshop questions you want, I don't know if I have the answers, but I have to say this book I have is awesome and it helps out alot. Maybe I will send you some picture emails tonight...

Ok I swear this is the last time I sign today...White trash isn't a financial state, it is a state of mind. So yea you can live in an affluent community and still have "white trash". Now as far as the neighbors go, call the police or the local family services and tell them that they lock the three year old in the hall and so on. It might just put them in check. I know it is scary because you don't want any backlash from the call, I have been there. But if they are infact treating that child in that manner and you know it, you in a small way are contributing to the cycle. Ya know? It isn't easy...Sorry for the novel.

2/26/04 Ya know...if you are interested in the bug, I can always drive it out to you and fly home, or shipping is always an option. I know when a friend of mine bought a car on e-bay it cost $250 to have it shipped up from FL to RI. Seriously if you are interested I will give you all the specs and details. I am thinking of putting it on ebay because not one call came in from our ad in the paper. email me if you want more. You live in MS right? I have family out there too...
