Oh my goodness! Congratulations! I haven't been on your diary a while! Eek twins! Were you trying to have a child, or did it just happen? I'm sooo excited for you and congrats on the wedding, how cool, Thailand. I'm jealous. The Flickr pics are beautiful.
from retrocarp :
The wee Japanese kindergartners...in matching yellow smocks..too...cute...can't...handle it...gaaaagh!
from sasori-gal :
it's too bad we can't introduce lindsay to anne. i haven't had time to update yet, but yes...people who cannot enjoy their own company sometimes have no idea why nobody wants to keep them company!! *argh* Feel better soon~there's lots of weird colds out this way too!
from trigger-cut :
hey girlfriend. about your layouts: do you write all the code yourself, or do you use some kind of program to design it? also, send me a post card! that would be awesome
from lowercaseg :
i'd like your password! I don't think I even knew you had another diary! If you want, you can message me on myspace about it!
from chickpea981 :
GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
from bettyford :
you know, i hadn't really thought of middlesex in the sense of an epic, but yeah, you are so freaking right! but didn't you want to know every freaking detail of cal's life and felt kinda ripped off 'cause you didn't get it? i actually own how to be good. i so love nick hornby. except for fever pitch and a long way down. he has a new one out that was released in september of last year, which is a collection of essays about books (i think). i'll probably check it out of the library. have you read The Russian Debutante's Handbook by Gary Shteyngart? i read it a few years ago and adored it. also, i'm reading a thomas harris novel (the dude who wrote silence of the lambs). he is pretty awesome, if you are into that sorta thing. gimme another recomendation when you get the time. i've been going through some books lately!
from trigger-cut :
zomg. i love the new layout. it rocks! send me a post card from japan!
from sasori-gal :
Had to laugh about what you said about Saga. I met some people who worked there and they said the same thing! *heehee* Keep me posted on your placement! We could be neighbors! ;)
from meine-kleine :
The rule, at least for me, is that you do whatever will make you stick to it most. I think it makes sense to start when you get to Japan, since your routine will be really different and so the habits would be too. You don't have to write every day at all, just check in often. I'm not trying to be strict being strict, the idea is just to have accountability. I just want friends along for the ride with me. I'd say your list should probably be finalized before you start, though. ;)
from meine-kleine :
HOORAY for 21-day program participation! I'm so excited. I'm a little crazy, haha.
from lowercaseg :
Hey - I looooove the layout!!!
from trigger-cut :
he's still around. and i did end up having fun in melbourne after all. but new boy is just so incredibly good looking that i can hardly stand it. and therefore there's zero chance of anything ever happening between us. but still, it's fun to look.
from trigger-cut :
oh man, i love me some naked christopher meloni. monday night oz makes me very happy.
from dieselengine :
great photos! I love the one of you and Stef
from lowercaseg :
aww, you and Stef look so cute! :)
from chickpea981 :
So I'm reading your entry... I get chronic fissures. I may have to one day get my ass to the doctor and make sure it isn't more serious but yeah, they suck, they hurt, and they take a few dasy to heal and in the meantime you wish you were on a liquid diet. I feel your pain girlie.
from dieselengine :
That cake looked AWESOME! And as far as wrap around dresses go...people say they look flattering on most anybody but I think they look horrible on me. The do nothing for my waistline. Agh. Maybe you can try to find a dress before Saturday? And as far as the bangs go, I like them...they accentuate your eyebrows even more.
from as-imaginary :
I've always wanted to record dreams, kinda like how they record memories in Strange Days, but not so cumbersome.
from heidiann :
The happiest day of my life was when I had a dirty dream about Chris Meloni!!!! So I wish it upon you with all my strength!
from bettyford :
if you're not going to turn that alarm on, 'm totally going to break into your house. and steal your hot rod. and yell, "GO, MAN, GO!".
from glibertine :
You have your own personal David Bowie!?! Color me jealous!
from trigger-cut :
hey lady, add me to your myspace so i'll have more friends! myspace.com/eightywindows
from mariastuart :
Oh, those necklaces are great! I didn't know there was star sand on this planet :) Lovely!!
from as-imaginary :
I think people often love handmade things. I made something I thought was really crappy and gave it to my mom for mother's day... she started crying, which I assume means she liked it. Since you're awfully talented, I don't think you could go wrong!
from glibertine :
Thank you muchly for the compliment (and the add). I think you're funny too. And I don't mean that in an Eddie Haskell kind of way, promise. :)
from meine-kleine :
craftster.org has challenges like that on their forums all the time. sigh, how i love crafster.
from trulypoetic :
OMG you do get it. Its hard to explain these things without sounding insane. I have been dealing with certain things for so long but sometimes it takes having enough distance to see it for what it is so that you can then really begin to deal with it properly. Trying to get over itor let go of itthat doesnt always work. Sometimes you need to be able to walk right through it and come out the other side still alive to realize youll make it. Thank you for taking the time to leave me that quote. I will print it and keep it. It means a lot to me that someone takes the time to read and comprehend where Im coming from and then to type that all out and have the desire to share it? You simply rock. You made my day today!
from dieselengine :
etsy sometimes has creative challenges on it...www.etsy.com
from as-imaginary :
I totally missed the entries about going back to Japan. Lucky you! I'll have to live vicariously through your photos, I think.
from dieselengine :
you should check out toastcrumbs diary. She makes awesome resin jewelry! good luck with it!
from as-imaginary :
I totally think like that too! Crazy! How we ended up being the two to make it - and I know my mom had miscarriages before, after, and between us - so I wonder who those phantom siblings would have been; if I was born a year earlier or later who would I be? Yeah, it hurts the brain. It's kind of an amazing thing to think about =p
from trulypoetic :
I have Prep and havent read it yet. YesI do that a lot. Ill have to read it next. I read About a Boy by Nick Hornsby about 5 yrs ago before there was even talk of a movie and I loved it so very much. I will have to check out How to be Good". Ive seen it many times and chose something else, even though I loved About a Boy. Thanks for delurking to give me gook recommendations. I love getting them. Ill have to check out your diaryI see that youve been at it for awhile and that always makes for good reading.
from lowercaseg :
i liked your entry! it was uplifting, and yes! i have thought of that crazy sperm/egg parents thing, too! it's really crazy to think about! And just think of all the OTHER possibilties if they had had gotten pregnant on any other DAY than they did! OH my goodness...that makes my brain hurt!
from trigger-cut :
i am indeed. early next year. no concrete plans yet though.
from as-imaginary :
awesome new design!
from sasori-gal :
Happy belated birthday! Looking forward to your return here to Japan!
from meine-kleine :
I suck at timely birthday wishes-- HAPPY BIRTHDAYTHINGER.
from heidiann :
oh my god i'm madly in love with your plates!!!!!!
from lowercaseg :
happppy birthday! and those plates are sooo cute! i &hearts gnocci, too.
from heidiann :
Happy Happy Happy Birthday!!!! If we were neighbors I would take you out for sushi and cupcakes and booze!
from dieselengine :
In case I forget, and because of the time change...HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Now we are both 29...woo hoo!
from bloodyme :
i'm sorry but i didn't understand your message.
from chloeloves :
Congrats! :)
from trigger-cut :
zomg you're moving back to japan!?!1! how exciting!
from dieselengine :
hmm, strange. I think I fixed the problem. Give it a try and let me know if it works now!
from lowercaseg :
Congratulations on getting the job!!! I am VERY excited for you! I didn't know about your diary when you were in Japan before, so now I'm excited to read all about your new adventures!
from chloeloves :
Yay for last days at work. My last day at my job is Saturday. :) But boo for Greeks dying.
from chloeloves :
Woo! I love cop dramas! :D
from dieselengine :
I can't believe you are doing it! That is so awesome. Good for you. You know what you want...you want to go back to Japan. Pure and simple. What about Stef though?
from chickpea981 :
I REALLY hope you get one of those jobs in Japan or a better one where you are now. But I hope most of all that you can find your hapiness again. It's amazing how much a suck ass job can fuck up every day life.
from chloeloves :
Hi! I randomly came across your diary. It's so cute! I hope your late night tv watchings and crying stop! Cheer up :)
from sasori-gal :
Hi! Thanks for your message! I tried leaving you a message in your guestbook but kept getting an error message. I hope everything is okay and perhaps I'll hear the long story that goes with it all someday? Anyways, here are 2 sites to check out. I found my current job at Ohayo Sensei. You can access them through this address: http://www.linguistic-funland.com/ohayo-sensei.txt Another site to check out is Dave's ESL Cafe at http://www.eslcafe.com/joblist/. I don't think their jobs are all that great, but they have some good forums and input as to companies like the pink usagi one. You are still young enough to apply for JET (http://www.jetprogramme.org/) if you're not in any hurry since the new group just arrived this summer. Good luck and please feel free to e-mail me if you need more info or just want to chat. Take care!
from as-imaginary :
Sorry to hear about Stef; hope you guys are doing ok. How scary! It always seems like when people need you the most, is when you aren't there. (How's that for profound? I dropped my old iPod a few (read: probably 20+) times before it died for good. They didn't even give me the option to repair it!
from dieselengine :
I am looking forward to my 30's for the same reason. I think that your mid and late 20's are all about "planning for the future" and you worry so fuckign much. But by the time your 30's hit, either it is all planned or it isn't and you just go with the flow.
from mariastuart :
Good to hear Stef is doing better :) It's a bit scary when things like that happen...Greetz!
from becahh :
Hey! I stumbled onto your site via your funny banner. I have known people who have had Bells Palsey and they all have faired well. One guy taped his eye shut at night so it would not dry out. He may have gotten some drops too for them (artifical tears.) Good luck. I will check your diary out again.
from dieselengine :
I have a friend who has Bell's Palsy and it is a strange, strange thing to deal with. I think there are medications you can take to help with the paralysis. I hope he can get some treatment for it. By the way, i like the new layout.
from lowercaseg :
liking the new look!
from trigger-cut :
yeah he's tops :0) as are you and stef. i'm so glad we got to hang out. we'll do it again next time i'm down your way.
from anadoll :
oh, geez. they should make those ipods more durable for what they cost. :(
from coldandgray :
The vet called my cat obese, too. The staff would not stop talking about how big he is. he is mostly tall. I don't walk around calling THEm fat!
from trigger-cut :
hey, the good news is that you'll be seeing me in like 12 days!
from trigger-cut :
indeed. indeed, indeed. at this stage, i'm planning a visit around the 29th/30th july. so keep your dance card free for me.
from bettyford :
hey, i'm in no hurry. i know you're busy, with your new dress and your new job and such. xoxoxo
from as-imaginary :
hah... "a bunch of middle aged men who had everything given to them on a silver platter (ie: education) RUN THIS COUNTRY. And not for the better!" funny, I feel the same way about my country! also, thanks re: the compliment on the new design =)
from as-imaginary :
Concerning toilets and the like, I don't think saying "toilet" is that bad. Now, saying something like, "I gotta go take a dump" or "I need to shit" is definitely offensive. "Bathroom" in and of itself is misleading, especially if it's in a public place and there are no baths. "Restroom" is also misleading, because if there's one thing I'm not doing on the toilet, it's resting. the WC just makes no sense to me (then again, I am American...). Therefore, toilet is probably the singly most correct thing one can say! There is no end, however, to the things that people find offensive.
from bettyford :
i went into mac a few weeks ago and had my make up done. it's something i've never done before and i was pissed at kevin so i was like, "fuck it". so she did my face all up and i bought almost everything and she rung me up and it was over 300 bucks! i almost "went to the toilet" right there in the store. but i was too ashamed to say anything. so i just gave her my credit card. this is why i will never be out of debt.
from bettyford :
something simple. but i want owls. like an orange brown color scheme going on, sorta seventies grandma's kitchen thing, does that make any sense?
from bettyford :
hmmm . . . seems like you're real good at making your page pretty, pretty, and most of all cute. would you help me? be more like you? with the cuteness of the page and all? please?
from trigger-cut :
yay thanks! hope you're well.
from as-imaginary :
haha, fair enough ;)
from as-imaginary :
ok, what do you do again at this new job? sounds neat =)
from abittergirl :
I love the tattoos. You've been tagged. See my last entry for details.
from razor-vixen :
I like the tattoos. Go for it next paycheque!
from chickpea981 :
I like the new layout muchos and I like the two roses waaaaaaay more than the others you were looking at. Love the red and blue. Go with that one!
from sourgurl77 :
What do you use to take photos on your site? They are so clear and wonderful.
from trigger-cut :
That is one heck of a story, girlfriend. I'm inspired by you having the balls to do such a thing.
from trigger-cut :
yeah i got tickets for death cab on monday, and they were really expensive. but oh well, still worth it. and they are playing at a night club that has become a live music venue. this will be the biggest band the venue will have hosted, so it might be a bit ehhh. but still, it's death cab! and i only knew because i was reading the street press while waiting to go see gerling, and it mentioned that tickets went on sale 2 days later. but they didn't mention that they went on sale at 4pm on monday afternoon, so i spent the whole day being angry because advertising lied to me.
from chickpea981 :
So I suck and I never comment and I have os much to say about the entry about your body and now this about your job and just... I dunno man, how bout a hug?
from heidiann :
YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!
from bettyford :
hell yeah!way 2 go!!!
from dieselengine :
yay! congrats sharnee!!!
from trigger-cut :
i know. scandalous!
from trigger-cut :
haha that's awesome. wal is almost hot, in a 1930's kinda way.
from as-imaginary :
I gots flickr! in fact I just got a pro acct! woot! I'll add ya, since I never come around here anymore :)
from hissandtell :
Well, congratulations; it all sounds extremely positive (well, maybe not so much the eye socket thingy). But gah, I understand your apprehension about the medical. I usually get a similar response to my weight - they practically do a double take because apparently I weigh more than I appear to. (Yes, even factoring in the size of my bottom and bosoms.) I guess it's almost exactly like how objects in the rear view mirror may appear closer than they are, as Meatloaf said... Good luck, possum. Love, R xxx
from trigger-cut :
only sort of. but it can only get better
from dieselengine :
Good luck with the interview and maybe you WILL get it since there are so many steps to go through...some people get discouraged and quit halfway through!
from dieselengine :
Happy Easter!
from dieselengine :
I think Emily is a fucktard.
from abittergirl :
I agree; 70's porn isn't as sexy to me either.
from chickpea981 :
and I'm a buddhist too!
from chickpea981 :
I think you got the $30 as karmic payment for your last couple shitty weeks!
from dieselengine :
I like the new layout...I love all your templates! And congrats on the gym, let us know how it goes!
from hissandtell :
Hi - what an interesting diary you keep; I'm loving your writing and your photographs. (And *I* have one of those monstrous iced cupcake cookie jars, too! Just like yours!) However...you hated "Wolf Creek"? Awww. I thought it was fabulous. John Jarratt was such a funnyscarydryevil bastard in it that my reactions swung between horror and hilarity the whole way, but I ended up loving it. Anyway, thanks so much for reading - I'm really looking forward to making my way through more of your archives. Love, R xxx
from dieselengine :
Happy Birthday Gusto!!
from lowercaseg :
why does work always have to be so TERRIBLE??? AHH....I sure hope things either a) get better for you there or b) you can find a cool new job. I'm all about life being a happy thing and, if there's something going on that is jeopordizing (sp) that, then a change must be made! :-) Right now, I'm going to see what your band is all about!
from as-imaginary :
suffering is all relative. seems like work might be getting better though, I hope so :)
from bettyford :
i am too! giving up soda.and chips. and chocolate. sad but good, right? we can have a contest . . . the first to cheat is a rotten egg or something? good luck.
from as-imaginary :
you can bet i'll never be buying the dvds. still have the original vhs pre-crappy-edits!!
from essaywriter :
hey, thanks for the info about what my Japanese sign says - that sheds a little more light, anyway!
from chrisalmond :
that last note was supposed to be from me.
from paperfriend :
thank you for your kind words applerobot.
from as-imaginary :
hm, i don't have an answer for that one, except maybe success is in the tags?
from as-imaginary :
hm we don't have those kinds of pies, exactly (and, no surprise there), but, say, pot pies are pretty well known. just thinking about it makes me hungry. and hey what do you know! It's lunch time already!
from dieselengine :
Cute pics! Too bad you don't live here. I have tickets for Sigur Ros in a few weeks. You could have been my date!
from soft-fairy :
I loooove cakes, looks wonderfully delicious! Good work :-)
from as-imaginary :
Looks delicious!
from as-imaginary :
The dietary decisions of cats never cease to amaze. My mom's cat once ate a cooked brussel sprout. I kid you not. Mushrooms, however, seem to be an especially odd choice... :)
from heidiann :
Man, nothing starts my day like a boob shot! Thank you!!
from stacesecrets :
hey, i dont know you but your diary is super pretty:) i jsut started a few days ago so mine isnt that good yet but go visit it if u want
from heidiann :
LOVE love love the new layout!!
from dieselengine :
I love the new layout...and Happy New Year!
from as-imaginary :
I LOVE the new layout! Where do you get those images! Beautiful :)
from as-imaginary :
happy new year!
from as-imaginary :
hah, and I thought it was warm here with temps in the upper 30's and lower 40's (F) hahaha...
from as-imaginary :
happy birthday to stef!!
from chickpea981 :
I forgot in my guestbook message to ask for the info to the special locked side. You know mine, I wanna know yours!
from as-imaginary :
oh... I know that feeling! sometimes when you try to snort it up, everything comes down at once and you just about choke on it! yeah, I had that for two to three weeks. hope you aren't as miserable as I was. really.
from as-imaginary :
and now, of course, anyone searching for "gusto licking boobies" will come across your diary! ...I had to try it out. You're #1!
from as-imaginary :
Hooray! On many accounts!
from dieselengine :
There is someone with a banner running. I thought it was you because she just has dark hair with fringey bangs and the same eyes as you...but it wasn't you! I think you have a twin!!!
from as-imaginary :
hope your grandma is going to be ok *hugs*
from as-imaginary :
hope you feel better soon :(
from bettyford :
when you say "porn movie galleries" does that mean that you filmed them? i'm intrigued.
from as-imaginary :
I do hope work gets better for you ^^ I personally hate my "real" job and am very much looking forward to the day I can quit!! But I've been there a few years. Uh, basically I'm trying to say, it should get better, but if you end up there for a while and it's not, then don't put up with it... yeah, that's what I was trying to get at...
from as-imaginary :
my thoughts an prayers are with you all and gusto. if it comes down to surgery, i hope they can at least figure out what's going on with the little guy. *hugs*
from as-imaginary :
Ooo! My friends had a (female) cat and got her a companion (female), and they had to be put in solitary confinement for a while, e.g., one was shut in the computer room while the other was in the rest of the apartment, and so on. It was touch-and-go for a few weeks, and it's been a few months now and the first cat is starting to return to normal. So, it takes a while, but it should be ok! I guess just keep monitoring them :)
from as-imaginary :
he's a shoulder-cat! those are great :)
from evildilara :
I believe you are 14 hours ahead of my time. So that means you would need to tune in at 6am on Friday. Does that make sense?
from as-imaginary :
uh, that's a lot of sugar! and i love that new shirt.
from as-imaginary :
uh, facebook.com, it appears to be some sort of college directory for lots of different colleges, you need your school email to sign up, or something, i don't really know >_> (I'm not a very good addict I guess...) and you can add friends and meet people and join groups and really it just seems like another myspace or friendster but school-based
from as-imaginary :
hooray!
from as-imaginary :
haha, if by 'mystery' you mean complete nutcase... anyway i'm located in the beautiful [sarcasm alert] city of milwaukee, wisconsin. y'know, i had a thing for serial killer books too... now i substitute that with true-crime drama on tv ^^ hooray for gusto :)
from bettyford :
i'll tell you what's delightful - that shaved pussy of yours. heh. i hope he pulls through and it doesn't cost you an arm & a leg. half of my credit card debt is freaking vet bills. i wish pets could go out and get like a paper route or something, you know, to help relieve the financial burden. thanks.
from as-imaginary :
that's the best book ever!
from as-imaginary :
yes, of course you can come in! i had some issues... stupid. anyway. u/n and u/n (both fields)
from as-imaginary :
best wishes for your kitty. *hugggs*
from chickpea981 :
sounds like the last vet was a DICK! This one sounds good. You know, my cat went through the same kind of thing but she was just sensitive.
from as-imaginary :
that "trailer" was hilarious! where do you come across this stuff?
from as-imaginary :
Oh, period... ^^
from as-imaginary :
yes, thank you! with my own two little hands, even :)
from as-imaginary :
Poor little Gusto. Hope everything's fine with him. Good luck with the hair :)
from chickpea981 :
I did the exact same thing with pink 18 months ago and got the same results. I dyed my hair black almost 2 1/2 years ago when I left the ex, and I still have about an inch of black left at the tips and it makes me apeshit. Not even bleaching makes it come out.
from evildilara :
He will be fine and I am sorry for making you sad. And I know the money is a big issue but the thing about my vet (and most vets) is if it is expensive, they will put you on a payment plan. There is no need to get upset until you know what is wrong for sure. And like I said, Gusto could just be allergic to his food or have acid reflux or a virus. All of those things are fixable.
from as-imaginary :
oh, I dunno, that yellow sleeveless tee is so sexy
from chickpea981 :
that one person will greatly appreciate it.
from yentl22 :
Thanks for the note - that's what my friend said to do as well. I'm going to see if he'll email be back. I don't want to seem to flippy - weriod - like you said. No one needs to be dumped on like that. I'm just trying to come to terms that all signs point to shit-ville with him. I just don't understand why. All I know is I feel very depressed already.
from as-imaginary :
good thing the guy didn't die in the crapper or anything, lol. glad the cat's ok!!!
from mavenhaven :
Yo, thanks for the props. I'll be back to snoop around...
from evildilara :
So today I had some Australian licorice and I realized how lucky you are to live in Australia BECAUSE THIS STUFF IS FANTASTIC. Black or red, either way you cut it, the licorice is damn perfect. And yummy. It is semi-hard to find here and thank God otherwise my ass would be HUGE. Just thought you would appreciate me telling you how lucky you are to live where you live whether you like licorice or not.
from as-imaginary :
"It's a fabulous defense against the world" - couldn't agree more. Works like a charm.
from chickpea981 :
Yes I do... I've had that one longer than this one. I just celebrated my 4 year mark on that one. Jot me off an email and I'll tell you where it is. [email protected]
from heidiann :
I completely understand. I worry sometimes that if I actually did lose weight like I want I would no longer have an excuse for being single/lonely/bored/unfashionable/poor/etc. It's a fabulous defense against the world. Your elimination of cola is wonderful! It's my biggest nemesis.
from as-imaginary :
I like how the image changes in the new layout :)
from as-imaginary :
sorry to hear of your loss.
from as-imaginary :
Hey! Thanks! I have to admit, I was inspired by your new-ish layout (if it wasn't already obvious!! ) :)
from mellieemo :
hi! i found a sky template RIGHT before i saw your note...I will come up with some template ideas and definately let you know. it would be cool if you could make one for me. i really like yours!
from as-imaginary :
Now, now. Not ALL cheese in America is orange! Just most of it.
from evildilara :
hey thanks for adding me as a favorite...I just had to lock up so please email me if you want the password: E V I L D I L A R A (at) G M A I L (dot) COM (Without the spaces of course). Rock on!
from as-imaginary :
Boring, you say? Well then I can't WAIT until it gets really interesting. ^^
from as-imaginary :
Wow, I love your diary. I just found it while browsing through all the other ones out there. I hope you don't mind if I add you to my favorites, and I must say, hooray for porn!
from to-my-heart :
you are most welcome and if anybody disses you for putting your voice up they are just jealous. don't let em get to you. :) Yup I love that shirt...
from feesha :
hey, i know how you feel! when school starts getting too crazy i start hitting the gym more, helps with the frustration, or you could start calling in sick to work..
from yentl22 :
Hi, I started a diary for only my private thoughts - basically about my boyfriend or things I don't want others to know ... so I'll only update this once in a while, and will post in my yentl22 diary when I have - I emailed you the link - pls let me know if you did not receive it.
from samgrey :
Thank you so much for the note and the compliments..you rock! =)
from krazieespy :
hi.. yeah its okay workin there. somedays.. Im just like UUUGGGH. anyways what is a CBD? Thanks for the note :)
from dope-slave :
apples and robots do not mix
from mackaj :
I think Llyeton is actually gay, and this is all a conspiracy from channel 7 for ratings
from mystictaco :

from feesha :
hookers and magazines about guns.. lol, oh and i fixed my previous and next buttons!, btw, nice diary :)
from mellieemo :
hi! thanks for your note. i'm glad you liked the pictures. i like yours, too!
from mellieemo :
The album I was listening to was "Control" by pedro the lion. Our friend bought it for us, so it was our first pedro the lion, uh, thing. We knew he knew they were religious, so I kind of had the idea. But until I started listening to the words, wow! Some of the things they say are quite suprising. Especially on that Penetration song on Control. Since he gave us that record, we picked up three other albums. Their new one, Achilles Heal, and ummm....winners never quit, and it's hard to find a friend. I think those are what they other two are. I do believe they are my favorite band of all!
from trigger-cut :
speaking of vibrators, what do you, in your professional opinion, recommend?
from mellieemo :
Howdy - thanks for the messages! I think things are a little better mood-wise now. Haha. I love the pictures you've been posting. I'm very jealous you live so close to the ocean! It sounds like you had a great new year's eve! Happy New Year! :)
from completeliar :

from trigger-cut :
after leaving the interview, i wasn't that confident. but i hear that one of the interviewers was really impressed with me. so we'll see how things go
from karmacops :
I totally agree with you re: the space travel thing! I'd even settle for time travel. :)
from sasori-gal :
Happy Birthday!!! Glad you have someone to help you celebrate the way birthdays should be celebrated! *wink* Enjoy and indulge!

from cdghost :
loved your words very much...
from amorphous :
I am officially back in black, with nine lives and cat's eyes. I think I might try to make my diary a little more highbrow this time, but probably won't. ha. I hope you're doing well. :)
from komachi :
Pretty Cherry blossoms!! I was thinking about that just yesterday and wrote an entry on it myself. I miss that very much. Have you gone to "Sakura Matsuri" yet? ~K.
from pacojb :
no need to worry, I am doing just fine. I just lost the internet for a while and then my pregnancy took a weird turn and I wasn't really working on much but myself. But I am back and feeling fine, especially since I had my daughter not even three weeks ago. Love ya and take care.
from heidiann :
I'm okay. Thank you for asking. =) I live maybe 30 miles from Hollywood but work right down the street from it. And we MUST hang out when you're here. MUST MUST MUST. And you're very welcome for the card!!! HUUUUUUUGS!
from natinski :
I found you not through google, but was searching Diaryland for 'diaries from Japan'. Glad I did. Cheers!
from heidiann :
So if you come to the US and are in the area, perhaps we could hang out. Or even if you're not in the area. I figure any state that touches mine I can get to with minimal difficulty. Do I sound like a crazy stalker? I sure hope not.
from snailpetal :
happy new year...will you be celebrating setsubun? xx
from heidiann :
I'm so happy I made you happy!! =)
from sirkeljerk :
Really like the haircut. It does look Chic...

I love the layout to your diary. And I like your diary, too, of course. I'm gone add yours as a favorite diary of mine. Hope you don't mind. Bye!
from orchdreamer :
that's soo cool that you live in japan!! *smiles* and the little girl on your layout is cute. have a great day! bye
from heidiann :
Damn it all to hell! I wrote a lengthy guestbook message but it wouldn't let me post. In summary: You're absolutely lovely, men suck, and Pudding Man should go kick their asses for us. I love you my wonderful appley-robotic-girl.
from saberwulf :
I discovered you by mistake. Seems that in live some of the greatest things come about by mistakes. Cheese, Coka Cola, Gravity, Me. But anyways, you seem like a very nice person, with a good head on her shoulders. Dont lose that.
from retrocarp :
I know how you feel. I have fantasies of walking through my hometown's Barnes & Noble and being able to read every damn thing in there, as well as no longer being nervous that someone's going to talk to me and I won't be able to respond. I like it here, but as one of my friends said, 'This would be perfect if it weren't for work,' which is not constructive but true. I'm a little burned out and need to refresh at home; not ready to go back, since there's more I want to do, but I can completely empathize with your excitement at the prospect of returning. Good luck!
from dont-stop :
You hate tomatoes, like I hate oatmeal.
from retrocarp :
Yar! I almost lost it yesterday when I was at kaiten sushi with my friend Robert. I wanted to order a corn sushi roll from the crusty old sushi chef, so I politely said, 'Sumimasen, cone?' Because it's katakana-ized and retarded. He looked at me. 'Cola?' 'Iie, coone.' 'Mada. Wakarnei.' Thankfully the waitress was nice and told him what I said (pronouncing it the saaaame fuucking way). She told Robert he had good Japanese, but we were both pissed. Grrr, angry-maker. Yesterday must have been bastard old person day. I can't believe he covered up your butterfly sticker! Yar! Hulk smash!
from sasori-gal :
Hi there! Today's entry made absolute perfect sense to me. I often wonder "What the hell am I doing here?!" and although I don't always say it, I think about going back home too...wherever that may be?! The future scares me so much that I just avoid thinking about it. And then, the thought of saying good-bye to my life here scares me too. See how thought-provoking your entry was?! Enjoy your weekend. Hope the typhoon rains weren't too bad!
from irish-jack :
Hasselhof freaks me out. I'm not even joking.
from retrocarp :
Ha! I watched The Bodyguard too just because I wanted to hear English. Man, that movie blows, but I couldn't stop watching. In spite of or because of the blowing, I'm not sure.
from lydibug :
I found the answer to the "x" in Astroidbelt's G-book. You're too funny. What gave you the idea of licking the x? I just got a crazy visual. *shudder* You're such a morbid child. :o)
from brucette :
i just love your diary. it's really great. i know i'm going to have great fun ignoring work to read what you have to say. very well done.
from kb8 :

from monkeymitten :
The new design on your diary is beautiful.
from heidiann :
Bah! Damn guestbook won't let me sign! So, as I was saying: "GASP! Homicide: Life on the Streets!?!? I loved that show so much and miss it terribly." That is all.
from monkeymitten :

from kabukicharms :

from monkeymitten :
Ok. How did you end up in Japan. Yeah, but can you answer it again? Sorry, I wasn't there when you told everyone else... Also, how long have you been there? Do you really have a full-on life there, or do you always feel part-tourist? Where are you from originally? Do you teach? Was it difficult to get the job? Did it cost a lot? Do you get paid well? Did you know Japanese before you left? Do you have your SELTA or whatever the hell it is? I'm having dreams of leaving New York, and I just read your diary a lot and think of the other side of the world. Gimme the juice please. Thanks, S ps- can you be more specific on the American dude? are you really visiting him? what's he all about? are you in l-o-v-e?
from kabukicharms :
Glasses and a belly?...Drew Carry?..Me?...are you an english teacher in japan?..ive always wanted to learn fluent Japanese. *sigh*...carry on.
from kabukicharms :
...so what degree is that you have?
from kabukicharms :
Ok so why is it you get to live in japan?
from pollymoog :
So this hate of tomato's, does it extend to ketchup and tomato sauce?
from sooner :
I have just heard a rumor about something supposedly "uniquely Japanese" called Anpanman. The rumor is that he is a flying jelly-donut-superhero who rescues critters with his trademark "If you are hungry, eat my face!" only in Japanese. And then he breaks a piece of his head off, exposing his bean flavored jammy brains, and gives the severed piece of himself to whichever creature he is saving from the peril of hunger. I also heard that his greatest enemy is an enormous germ who flys around in a tricked out flying saucer. So, I was wondering, can you verify this for me? Just an "all true," or a "mostly true," or a "germ of truth," or a "false?" It would help me sleep better at night. Oh, Applerobot! I need your help!
from neangel :
hate tomates? sacralige! lol I enjoyed reading.
from dana-elayne :
Oh jeeze, I'm all about cheap Japanese toys. I think I'm hello kitties beeyotch. *sigh* I have location envy. Do you think you could teleport me over there...at least long enough to shop ;)
from slorobot :

You have never seen any one else use the word "Amber gris" except me? Strange. I have been told that I have a good vocabulary. (I just taught someone the word "debris" for the 1st time the other day) ;^}'
from asteroidbelt :

HAPPPPPY BIRTHDAY!
from almostnormal :
I love the entry...I think it's *great* that you have images up, and that you use real names. I use names because what's the point of having an online journal if you have to be all shoosh shoosh about it. If you have to be that secretive, you're obviously telling the wrong people your journal addy.
from mimsy :
you utter slut. i am so completely jealous. japanbeachandall. let me say it again, YOU SLUT. I HATE YOU.
