from the-big-day :
Hi, Honey-it's been a long time-hope you're well.
from spring-da1sy :
Thanks for the encouragement! (That's a big part of it for me) I've lost 34 pounds by cutting out carbs entirely, cutting all sugars to a bare minimum and I walk a mile a day. I've begun doing some toning exercises so that wedding dress will look good. It's a hard program in the beginning, but I got used to it very quickly. Sometimes I just think it's my time, you know? I've dieted before and never been able to see it through, but this time it's different. Good luck with yours.
from starlight42 :
Hey there- Thanks for the note. Sorry to hear about your aunt. :(
from nmnohr :
Thank you so much for the nice note, and the wonderful advice. Hopefully this will be as smooth as possible.
from tara10573 :
Thanks Karen - we're hanging in there. Aidan's doing ok now, but last weekend was rough. Hopefully we'll know more after his next appt.
from jamsjunction :
I'm so very sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this unfortunate time.
from nacwolin :
So sorry to hear about your aunt. Prayer offered for you and the family.
from spring-da1sy :
Oh, Honey-that's awful. I can't imagine your pain. I'm sorry. Hugs
from nmnohr :
I'm so sorry. I will keep you and your entire family in my prayers.
from ameliorating :
My deepest, heartfelt sympathy goes out to you and your family. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. *hugs* Jen
from imazook :
That's just awful. I'm so sorry. ((hugs))
from manda-d :
I'm thinking of you and I love you. Please call me if you need anything, even if it's just to talk.
from tara10573 :
Karen - so sorry to hear about your loss. You and your family will be in my thoughts & prayers. Tons of (((hugs))) my friend.
from starlight42 :
Time for an update....as for my belly, I'm wondering if when I have the next one I'm gonna be huge- LOL Actually, the last 2 weeks I've really popped. I'm betting more of the same to come...maybe I'm just a late bloomer. I've definitely gained 25 pounds, so it's somewhere!
from jamsjunction :
I just wanted to let you know that I have moved my blog. I am now at http://simplyjamie.wordpress.com . I look forward to seeing you there from now on.
from tara10573 :
Thanks Karen :-)
from the-big-day :
Where, oh where, have you gone? You're missed!
from the-big-day :
Thanks-I like knowing others are sharing my joy.
from tara10573 :
Hi Karen!!!
from pantrypuff :
Thanks! I'm losing a lot slower than I want to, but that's life...
from the-big-day :
By the way, thanks for adding my new diary. It's there for all to see if anyone is interested, but mostly, it's just there for my own reference, so I won't be adding faves for that one. If I were, you'd definitely be the first, though. Thanks for sharing my enthusiasm.
from nmnohr :
Taylor looked fabulous last night. I truly do like Kat, but no one beats Taylor's energy. I loved him from the start at the auditions. I love that Simon didn't want to put him through, and now he won! The finale was awesome!
from the-big-day :
IT WORKED!!!! I LOVE YOU!!! Here I was, using the code that Dland recommended! What was I thinking? Thanks so much. It looks so much better now.
from manda-d :
You dork ;-)
from bitterwineuk :
Hiya, Thanks for adding me to your faves, I just watched your vids and in the UK we are miles behind with the run of AI here in the UK. I like Bo better as he's more rock than country :) And I have always noticed him as being good. The other guy (Taylor was it???) sang ok though the only time I have heard the song Levon, it was actually performed by Bon Jovi on a compilation cd. When's the big final??? Becca
from tara10573 :
I'm a Taylor fan too - GO Taylor Hicks!!!!
from starlight42 :
I love Bo Bice too! Wonder if his CD is any good?
from pantrypuff :
Wow! I'd never seen that --really good!
from jamsjunction :
I love love love him to! I've nearly worn out his CD!
from imazook :
Happy Mother's Day!
from pantrypuff :
Happy Mama's Day to you too!
from spring-da1sy :
You are so not a bad friend!! You can write a guest entry when the kids are grown, and you've taken advantage of every single opportunity to spend time with them. BTW-that rainbow is always there-isn't that great? By the light of a full moon, there's a "moonbow". We're going to go back once when there's a full moon to see it. I'm sure that's equally beautiful.
from thedetails :
Sure you can read my diary, it's not locked anymore so no password needed. My daughter isn't medicated for her ADD, my doctor wont allow it. He says that there isn't enough research done into how neural inhibitors affect the still forming brain of a child. The school was trying for a while to pressure us, even the support centre we were going to was trying, I just handed my doctors card to them and said if they can convince him to change his mind, then they can try to convince me. I never heard another word about it. I don't really sit back and think about my life as a daily struggle, I just go about my business and don't think about it really. I mean thinking about it isn't going to change it, I just enjoy my kids and do the best that I can for them.
from thedetails :
I came here through the comment you left at Go Figure, where you said that you realized that your kids were just being kids and you were getting on them for it. I just wanted to say Thanks for leaving that comment, it made me think about my own kids and how I was doing the same thing to them. It's helped me to open my eyes and take a look at how I handle the things my kids are doing. Thanks a lot.
from ameliorating :
Happy Anniversary!!
from nmnohr :
Happy Anniversary!
from zencelt :
Happy Anniversary!
from ingridwrites :
Yay! Dirtbikes are fun! ;)
from h2ophobic :
I've added you to my buddy list...I hope that's OK.
from spring-da1sy :
Yippee-I'm your first guest entry then!!! Click on Add an Entry like you were going to make a new entry. There should be a link at the top of your page that says something about being invited to make a guest entry-click on that, and it'll give you "the white box" like you're used to. I'm sure you can handle it from there. Thanks! I can't wait to see it when I get back.
from zencelt :
Yeah, I took a look at her, and was like...wow!
from starlight42 :
Glad everything is going well! You and Greg sound like you did what Dave and I did before we got married. Some days it sucked having to wait until my debt was paid off, until he bought a house and did some work to it (which of course costs $$!), but in the end- it made everything work out so much better. Imagine trying to get married and still having those old things needing to be "cleaned up" from the past. We got engaged just after our 3 month anniversary, so I bet it will happen soon for you too! Heck, the more time you get to know someone, the better as well. You guys sound so great together! Also, as for the GIRL you suspect I'm having, that's where my guts been all along. Glad someone is throwing some pink power my way! Plus, the tech said she didn't see anything, so if she had to guess it would be a girl, but she just couldn't be sure. So, I'm still thinking girl. If it was a boy, I'd think you'd see something by now.
from ameliorating :
Good to see you updating! I'm glad things are going so well and that everything is working out. I hope that someday we get to build our dream house.. oh the ideas we already have! Keep us updated! Good luck finding the perfect plot of land! *hugs* Jen
from spring-da1sy :
It's wonderful to hear you're so happy. I know the feeling! You sound like you're loving each moment and cherishing every day. Perhaps Greg will pop the question on your anniversary-that's what Phil did-our 3rd too!
from nacwolin :
You sound very happy - and that's great!
from spring-da1sy :
Hey, Lady-I miss you. Where have you been? Are you coming back? I'd like to invite you to make a guest entry while I'm away. Will you have time next week?
from jamsjunction :
My sweet dog, only weighs 20lbs, but in the summer when we shave her, she looks so skinny. She is pretty much all fur. She is so spoiled!
from spring-da1sy :
The date is 6/21/07, and that's why I'm content to let the plans "simmer" for the time being. There's not much else I can do for now, but SAVE MONEY! Have a beautiful weekend.
from starlight42 :
I love Dr. Phil! At some point I will get that book.
from spring-da1sy :
Now, there's some EXCELLENT advice! Thank You
from zencelt :
Thank you!!!
from spring-da1sy :
That's very nice. I wish I'd had that when Jeff was little.
from tara10573 :
Stalker, not really, but someone that reads my diary has been giving me a hard time, so I'm dishing some back.
from tara10573 :
Thanks for all your well wishes. Aidan is doing ok today - he just had a viral infection and being on the diet just makes it worse. He seems better this morning. Hopefully at the end of the month well get some answers.
from imazook :
You haven't updated in ages! Were you on your trip? Thank you for your note :)
from x-plicity :
May you live as long as my 100 year old trees that I will plant tomorrow!! Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!
from starlight42 :
Thanks for the notes. Time to update!
from janie12975 :
He doesn't want custody right now. But he keeps talking about the kids getting to decide whether they want to live with him when they turn 13. Yeah, because then they can stay at home by themselves unmonitored, have sex and drink his beer, oh and surf the net for porn. It's a couple of years away, but I will fight it tooth and nail.
from marlen816 :
Thanks for finding out for me! What are you doing up so late??
from ingridwrites :
((hugs)) right back at ya! I am not sure why kids lie, it is aggravating!
from starlight42 :
Hey- Ya, I know you knew. You were right! I was surprised more family and stuff didn't notice about the lack of dieting things lately.
from zencelt :
Thanks for the support. I got some Nexxus Keraphix which usually puts my hair back in shape after a retched color job. I also have gotten several recommendations for Loreal Preference hair color. If only I couild get my pretty front pieces back... See ya!
from starlight42 :
ya, it's not that i think it's a big deal Cheney accidentally shot someone. It's just the fact it was covered up and the fact that everyone for the white house press is making light of it and even his friends are saying how safe he is and all. It's just silly.
from janie12975 :
Cokes? Well, that's interesting. Although, at least you get something for your money. Ya know?
from spring-da1sy :
I'm glad to hear your case is working out in your favor too :-) I'm feeling okay-it only hurts after I'm at work for a few hours or if I strain myself. I start physical therapy Friday. I'm just waiting to hear now whether they're going to total my girl or not. At this point, I'm hoping so.
from zencelt :
Thank you for my one and only V-day greeting on V-day! Back at ya!
from tara10573 :
Happy Valentine's Day to you too :)
from x-plicity :
Happy V-day! *heart* X
from ingridwrites :
Happy Valentine's Day to you!!
from ameliorating :
Happy Valentine's Day!
from starlight42 :
I have a canon power shot. It takes great pics and wasn't a load of $$. I've good things about Canon from a lot of people. The Rebel is supposed to be one of there popular ones.
from manda-d :
A lady that went on a field trip with John's class had a Sony Cybershot. I was so amazed with it.
from spring-da1sy :
Phil has an Olympus, and I've found them to be good cameras. The one you mentioned sounds like a good deal to me. Have you tried QVC.com?
from squirt82599 :
Hehehe I actually have it here with me at work... it's a Nikon E4600, Coolpix. 4.0 megapixels, 3x zoom, red-eye fix, etc :)
from squirt82599 :
I got my Nikon Camera at Best Buy and I LOVE it. It was under $375 and that included the camera bag, memory card and batteries :) My best friend just bought one too and loves it!
from pantrypuff :
hey, how goes the weight loss? You're inspiring! I'm trying to get on track and failing miserably, i think
from nmnohr :
Oh my god, I loooooooooove the gifts you got him. So creative.and could I please have a cookie?!! Way to go on your working out and weight loss. I need to get inspired, maybe you'll be the one to inspire me!
from spring-da1sy :
Great ideas! I know he'll love them. Very resourceful-you are! Phil & I have agreed not to exchange Valentine gifts so we can save money for the wedding. We'll just snuggle a bit more that day!!!
from marlen816 :
I have talked to Devin and she says she is not sexually active, but we are planning on taking her to a gynocologist and have an exam and pap smear done and an STD smear, too, just in case.
from spring-da1sy :
Awwwww, thank you. What a nice thing to say! I enjoy reading you too. You're a very sincere person, and it doesn't get better than that. Have a great weekend.
from nacwolin :
Good job!
from jamsjunction :
WTG!! Thats fantastic! Keep up the good work.
from imazook :
You should be proud of yourself! That's so great. Yay for you!!! You didn't sound stuck on yourself at all, you sounded motivated and happy! :)
from spring-da1sy :
Oh my! Who knew?!! Goodness, my sorrow for you came on in chills and moist cheeks, too. I didn't start that story to tell all those details, but it turned out that way. Talk about dredging up some stuff better left buried! Hugs
from starlight42 :
I was wondering where you were...but now I know! You were at the gym! That's really awesome progress you've made. You should be really proud. Congrats! :)
from ingridwrites :
You SHOULD feel great about yourself! How excellent! Also? You should probably go by new clothes that fit you well since you are getting so buff and sexy ;)
from x-plicity :
You SHOULD be proud of yourself!! *HUGS* X
from spring-da1sy :
Girl-don't apologize for giving yourself a pat on the back. You deserve it. You GO, Girl! Keep it up.
from marlen816 :
Good for you! Send some of your motivation my way! If I could get over this cold/infection thingy maybe I could get on the treadmill on a regular basis and see some changes, too. I have lost three pounds, though! I think it was in snot, though =)
from nacwolin :
Yes, it is a sporting goods store :-). I guess that name kind of fits, then, eh... ;-)
from marlen816 :
I am not sure about all of the aspects of the alternative school, but they have a strict dress code, monitored bathroom breaks and a no socializing policy. That will be good for her at least. But I am not sure two weeks will be enough, or maybe it will be too much and she'll find new friends with worse habits.
from x-plicity :
The play is just a hobby. I have lots of hobbies, actually. I sing in a band, I belly dance and I do plays. *grin* In real life, I work for a mortgage company. Not very exciting.
from ingridwrites :
Thank you. I need to try to be more thankful for that fact too.
from x-plicity :
I've been reading up. Love your diary. I'm on a diet called the Selective Carbohydrate Diet. It's for people who have chron's disease and Ulcerative Collits, amongst other stomach ailments. It's a lot like the Atkins diet except you are encouraged to eat breads made form nuts and you are allowed to eat honey. I would love to share some yummy recepies with you some time. E-mail me at [email protected]
from spring-da1sy :
Hey, Hon-sorry it's going rough. I wish there was some way I could help-it's our period here. Hang in there. Hope you feel better soon. Hugs
from imazook :
No--I haven't...but I will now! The pyramid site seems way off. I'm 5'4" and about 116 lbs and it tells me my daily caloric intake should be somewhere around 1900! That is alot! I'm not sure how accurate it really is. Hope your tomorrow gets better!!!! (((hugs)))
from marlen816 :
((Hugs)) girl! Tomorrow will be a better day.
from nmnohr :
I'm sorry your day is so stressful.........never a fun way to start a Monday! My new boss is great, but he's actually involved (unlike my previous boss) and he knows what the hell he's doing. Which means we all actually have to do our WORK, and slacking isn't as easy.....
from nmnohr :
Hope you had a great weekend!!!!!!
from manda-d :
Bringing my shoulders off the ground.
from ameliorating :
Thank you for the lovely notes :) It is neat, she is my youngest sister. I have two others, 4 and 18, lol. Hope you have a great weekend! (I'm one of the lucky ducks, lol)
from starlight42 :
I think Atkins is fine the way you're doing it. It's the people who are on it forever...you seem like you have a good sense on how to do this and it will put you at a nice weight! Good for you- Florida will be so nice! I'm so jealous, everyone is heading out there!
from spring-da1sy :
I didn't mind Atkins one little bit. Okay, maybe one little bit, but it was at a period where I ate fast-food a lot, and the carry-out near where I worked was run by a lady I knew, so she was very accommodating to the diet. My friend & I were on it together, and she'd charge us for subs, but would put the meat & fixins in a bowl for us-that was some yummy stuff. We stayed on the induction diet for a long time and both lost in excess of 20 lbs in about six weeks. You can eat cheese, and that was a biggie for me!
from manda-d :
Sit ups K-I-L-L my back, I can't do them. I can't do pilates either for the same reason. I have to do exercises that specifically don't strain my back, which kinda sucks. But I love the elliptical machine because it's so easy on your back and legs (my knees turned to crap trying to compensate for my back). I try to stick to scrunches.
from manda-d :
Ooo, I have a really good one for Chicken Cordon Bleu. I have to find it. You just get boneless chicken breasts and beat them kinda flat, then you get sliced ham and swiss cheese and roll it up in the middle, stick a toothpick through it to keep it all in place. Then you dip it in egg and roll it in parmesan (sp?) cheese. Cook it for 40 minutes or so on 350. Yum, SO good. I might make that this weekend.
from imazook :
I've never used a yoga ball but I can soooo see my self just sliding right off that thing into a wall or something ridiculous like that! That is the kind of things I do! I'm glad I motivated you...now, where is my motivation??;-)
from imazook :
Is there an ab board or ab weight machine? I took someone thru an orientation the other day who had a bad back. She did some situps on an ab board since it's cushioned.
from bitterwineuk :
well done on the weight loss so far. Keep up the good work. Unfortunately my diet is more weight watchers and they tend to prefer a good mix rather than low carb so I don't know how to offer my assistance BUT if you ever want advice I'm always willing to try and help. My main diet page is ishouldcry.diaryland.com and there a couple of diet diaries linked there who may be of some assistance too. Hope you make do well with your diet. Becca.
from starlight42 :
I knew you had to be on Atkins or South Beach! Yikes, Atkins is pretty rough. How are you doing on it? Sorry, don't have any Atkins recipes. :(
from spring-da1sy :
Darn! I just gave that book to Salvation Army!
from marlen816 :
Janie and I have been doing the online lessons which are cheaper, but you can ask Janie about the specific amount to download the lessons. Many of the people on my yahoo group just have the books. I haven't lost any new weight yet (lost 12 lbs. last year), but hope to soon. I am just not very disciplined with anything right now. I should be on the treadmill instead of online! Ugh! BTW - My friend finally emailed me. She did not get an abortion. I should probably write an update entry about that soon. See, slacker is my middle name =)
from imazook :
Hehe, yes I am a health nut. Sorry. You're going to Florida?! How fun. I've never been there. Good luck on your goals. It sounds to me like you're doing a great job already! :)
from imazook :
I don't have any recipies...but thanks for the interview note. It went ok but there are six other applicants...:-\ You need your carbs!
from gofigure :
I know - DC with Splenda is disgusting. Coke Zero is my new favorite. Yummy!
from ingridwrites :
Good for you!
from spring-da1sy :
You're just burning off those pounds, aren't you? Good for you!
from imazook :
Yay for you, congrats!! Are you working out?
from bitterwineuk :
Hello. I found you through imazook and I liked you so you will be one of my regular reads from now on. Well done on the weight loss. As someone who is always trying to lose weight I know how hard it can be. Well done to you. Becca. :)
from nmnohr :
5lbs!! That's awesome! Way to go!!!!!
from ingridwrites :
YAY!!! You are doing such a great job!
from spring-da1sy :
You go, Girl! I wish my fat a$$ would get motivated! I'm proud of you.
from gofigure :
Congratulations! 5 lbs. is great! Sorry I lost my connection earlier - I tried to say hi back. Pop in any time when you see me on AIM - I'd love to chat.
from starlight42 :
WOW! Go you!! 5 pounds is amazing!!
from manda-d :
Wendy? Male friend? EEEK! *jumps up and down* DO tell!
from jamsjunction :
I think it looks great (And its nice to put a face to your name lol)..glad they gave you a good conditioning treatment. It always helps.
from imazook :
It looks so pretty!:)Don't go back to that girl again...after all the emotional turmoil!;-)
from nmnohr :
It looks awesome! Doesn't look fried at all! But go back, and make them pamper you.....you deserve it after how much $$ you spent!
from marlen816 :
Fried hair. Now that is something fried I do not think I'd like very much. I love the color and cut though. You are gorgeous =)
from starlight42 :
The pics look good, can't tell the hair is fried. Yikes, they'd better condition it good.
from spring-da1sy :
Yes, the color did come out good. You look great.
from manda-d :
I can't get to photobucket, send me the pics.
from spring-da1sy :
Woweeeee! $195? I don't think I spend that much on my hair in 5 years. I hope you like the way it turns out.
from starlight42 :
Ok, now I am so freaked out to go get my highlights and lowlights this Saturday!! And I guess my $80 isn't that bad compared to your nearly $200. Although, I did just pay $40 for a hair cut last week, so since you had a hair cut too my total would be $120. Not including tips. The girl did do a nice job on the cut, so I'm thinking the highlights will turn out well. Good luck with yours!!
from gofigure :
Eeek, sorry about the hair mix-up. I have full color and full highlights, and it used to run me $195, but then I asked her to stop blowing it out and styling it. I go home with wet hair and save $50!
from imazook :
{to the stylist of course}
from imazook :
I know I do! Especially since I'm so particular about my hair! Everytime I see a bad haircut coming on in the mirror, I'll think of you and say, "Um, no..." :)
from imazook :
5 hours!? That's ridiculous. 205.00?! That's ridiculous. I'm not sure if I understood, you don't have to pay for her to fix it do you? I'm always too scared to speak up if I don't like what someone is doing with my hair. I wish I had more of a spine...especially with hair!!!
from ingridwrites :
Good luck!! I love red hair. I wish I could get away with it.
from nmnohr :
What is your email address?? I'll email you the pics. You can't tell my hair is really any different......I just love the perm though because it holds my curl so much better (from the curling iron) and I just actually have some body now instead of my limp stick straight hair!
from starlight42 :
I know, doesn't coming back to work suck?! Oh well, glad you enjoyed the holidays.
from spring-da1sy :
Sounds like a good time. Glad you enjoyed! Happy New Year.
from jamsjunction :
May health, happiness, and good times greet you & your family everyday of 2006! Happy New Year!
from ray0flight :
Happy New Years!
from nmnohr :
I totally know what you mean......my son is so much more of a snuggler, and more compassionate. My daughter is much moodier! He just always wants to snuggle, and she is always doing her own thing. He's a total boys boy......but he's so emotional too. It's great!
from nmnohr :
This whole week has seemed like it has taken FOREVER!!!!!!
from jamsjunction :
I got Bo's CD for Christmas to, and Ive nearly worn it out. I really love him!
from spring-da1sy :
It's too soon to buy the dresses-just browsing. The date is 6/21/07-Summer Solstice. That website is TheWeddingChannel.com. It lets you store absolutely every tiny bit of info you need. Plus, it offers advice, and you can set up your own wedding website.
from spring-da1sy :
Girl, I am so glad I left my credit cards home last night when I cleaned out my purse! Sort of. It has been awfully boring here. Maybe tomorrow, eh? Hugs
from imazook :
Thanks, Karen. I hope all has been well with you. It sounds like you had a good Christmas. Sorry that you didn't get to spend it with your kids. I am reading back on some of your older entries, so I am learning more about you!:)
from nmnohr :
Merry Christmas late!!!! Being back to work sucks doesn't it? I can't believe Christmas is over already!
from jamsjunction :
In case you were curious, I just took some time and read all of your entries. Looking forword to reading more. Hope your Christmas was magical & memorable!
from jamsjunction :
Merry Merry Christmas to you, and your family!
from imazook :
Ive watched them all a little and have never seen an elephant but I just now saw one...oh how exciting it was! Aren't the apes all cute (kinda;-))?
from nmnohr :
Congrats! Merry Christmas too!
from manda-d :
NOW I see it, it wasn't there before.
from starlight42 :
Awesome!! That's a lot for one week. You must have gained some water or something before. Good going and keep it up!
from marlen816 :
You go girl!!
from manda-d :
I don't see your counter?
from spring-da1sy :
You can do it. You're brave for going into the Holidays on a diet.
from ingridwrites :
I'm feeling better as long as I sit here watching the Logo channel and drinking coffee with my feet up ;) Thank you.
from spring-da1sy :
Oooh, you lucky girl! Love the way those things sparkle!
from marlen816 :
Awesome surprise!! Too bad it wasn't a 4 karat engagment ring =)
from starlight42 :
awesome, early presents!! the bracelet looks pretty, I'm sure your 4ct is more sparkly too. Happy Holidays!
from moodymama :
girl, i gain four pounds when i'm PMSing. don't sweat it. :) thanks for adding me to your buddy list!
from starlight42 :
Thanks!! I can't believe it's taken me four and a half months to lose it, but they say the slower you take it off the more likely it's to stay off, so, that's ok by me! And if I can do it, you can do it too!! Have you ever tried fitday.com? You can journal on there (what you're eating, how you're feeling etc.), count calories and there's more. For the basic stuff like what I listed, it's free too. I know you can pay for more options, but I dont' need it for anything more. It really helps. It's nice to look at a day and know exactly how many calories you took in- and how much of that is fat, carbs or protein. I've read you should have 30% fat, 40% carbs and 30% protein each day. This helps me monitor it. :)
from starlight42 :
It could be "that time of the month". You can gain up to 5 pounds that week. ??
from pantrypuff :
I'm with you. I've probably gained that much just today :(
from ingridwrites :
Thank you. He lived a long, full life.
from ingridwrites :
Thanks! If my skin would just feel normal (this is part of what makes me think maybe I'm actually sick and not JUST hungover. Although I'm sure that plays a role.) I'd be all set.
from imazook :
Thank you very much. It means alot to me. (((hugs)))
from zencelt :
Yeah, during that party, I saw somethat could wipe out an entire army.
from starlight42 :
I love the story you put about the sand & stone! Also, good luck with the weight loss. It takes a lot of work, but the feeling you get is much better than the feeling you get from a dessert. :)
from nmnohr :
I think each and every one of us can improve on forgiveness. It's the hardest thing to do.
from nmnohr :
I love that! Everyone should live by those words. Truly inspirational......thank you for sharing!
from nmnohr :
What a great way to start the holiday season......you sound so happy and refreshed. Good for you!
from manda-d :
WOW! :-)
from ingridwrites :
You go, girl! ;) When I read those words, I instantly know EXACTLY how you feel. I will join you ;)
from zencelt :
Hello there! Nice to meet you. The hair rocks so much! I think I might be in love with it...
from nmnohr :
You have your presents wrapped? Oh geez, you're making me look bad!
from spring-da1sy :
Sounds like you had a wonderful Holiday. Glad you enjoyed it. Hugs
from nmnohr :
Let me know what you come up with for a gift idea, because I can NEVER come up with a good idea for Aaric! Thanks for your note earlier, and don't feel guilty.........YOU'RE A GREAT MOM!
from ingridwrites :
Hehe. Cute.
from spring-da1sy :
I don't know what your budget looks like, but I'm getting Phil a dvd recorder. I've been looking at them on the internet, and Circuit City has a good site for comparing options. You can get lower-end like $99.00 or higher-end like $500.00. I'm just taking my time learning about the options so I can choose the right one for him. They allow you to record from tv and vhs (some of them have a vhs deck as well) to dvd. A very hand thing.
from nacwolin :
My Christmas gift to Rob is 2 tickets to see Trans Siberian Orchestra in December :-).
from ingridwrites :
Sorry, missed the Got Monkey question. Amazon. search for Bobby Jack.
from ingridwrites :
He wasn't joking. He says things like that because he can't help himself.
from ingridwrites :
No neat men gift ideas here. I get Mister something 'big' every few years to keep him guessing. Last year it was a tivo, this year? Hah, probably clothes. How neat that your kids let you choose their gifts!
from gofigure :
Hi, I will try to catch you on AIM and let you know how to get to my archives. They're hidden. I'm so glad to have found you again, too! It has been forever. You sound great, by the way. :)
from starlight42 :
oh, I bet it was liza? she's had a few diary names, I forget the original one. she was a nanny and she also sold pampered chef and something else I think. I actually know her in "real life". :) lifeofliza was her last diary, she recently stopped writing in it.
from starlight42 :
Wow, good to hear some people are happy I'm writing :) I see you've updated too! Glad everything is going well. Wow- 3 years with Greg. It's so weird because I remember when you met him and when you started the job you've been at already for 2 years. Online journals are kind of weird in the fact you feel like you "know" people! thanks for reading!
from ingridwrites :
Thank you. I am too! ;)
from nmnohr :
I'm so glad you updated!!!! I'm so glad to hear that things are going so well for you and your family. I'm sure the math will get better. I'm dealing with some of that with Morgan right now too....
from spring-da1sy :
Well, a fresh entry! Glad to see it. I don't know how parents do it-the running from here to there-there to here with teams and activities all the time. I'd have wanted a season off too. Enjoy the show-I think he's hilarious, but I prefer Ron White.
from starlight42 :
ya, it was fake. although the cats did not seem to realize this! I couldn't get a pic but the first time we showed Bailey, every hair on his body went up, all along his back and his tail was HUGE. It was too funny from a cat who's scared of nothing!
from andreeb :
Thanks for the add!
from spring-da1sy :
Thank you for adding me. I've added you too.
from nmnohr :
Thanks so much for the sweet notes. I hope all is going well with you!
from nmnohr :

from ray0flight :
I can't get into that email you sent me. It keeps closing all of IE - can you send it to me again please?
from shaverwl :
I am SO excited for Curtis and the kids.. Hopefully this is a bright new beginning for them. I love those guys to death and know how much they are hurting. They are strong little boogers though, I am proud of the way they are handling it (atleast on the outside).. ((HUGS))
from manda-d :
Poor Hunter... I'm suprised that it's affected him more than Kayla. Since she's always been such a daddy's girl. I'm glad to hear Curtis is doing well.
from starlight42 :
so glad to hear Curtis is doing well! I hope the trip to see him goes smoothly.
from nmnohr :

from nmnohr :
I'm so glad you updated. I'm so happy for you and your new job. I hope it continues to go so well! And I just did the same thing with a ton of my kids toys. They haven't even missed them since I took them away....guess that's a sign that they have too many!
from manda-d :
Yay! An update! Did you see Matt last night on that after the rose show? *sniff* He is pitiful. Here's the deal... I'll go pick him up and he can stay with me half the time and you half the time. We could take good care of him, no? LOL!
from manda-d :
*gush* That is INCREDIBLE! You lucky girl :-)
from scarydoll :
thanks for the birthday wishes!
from batten :
I'll be praying for you, Karen. Al-Anon was a great help to me when I was going through living with an alcoholic. If you have time you maybe should check it out? Big hug to you. -J

from scarydoll :
I hope that everything is going well (or as well as it can) and that you come back soon. (1-27-04)
from shaverwl :
I changed my template, Now how do I link my older entries to the new template?
from nmnohr :
You have to trust that everything happens for a reason, but it sure is hard to trust in that at the time you are going through it. I'll keep praying that everything works out for you and your family, and that your interview goes smoothly! Good luck!
from meg-cntrygrl :
Wow, talk about bad timing. But maybe it really was a blessing in disguise. I hope your interview goes well. Keep thinking positive :)
from starlight42 :
oh no!! I am so sorry to hear about your being let go. That's so unfair because I know you're a great person & a great employee. I'll keep you in my prayers & hope your interview goes well on Monday.
from shaverwl :
Hey Sis. I can't quit thinking about you and your situation.. I just want you to know how much "I LOVE YOU" and will be here day or night for anything you could ever need. We will work this out, God will provide the perfect opportunity for you. You have been thru so much and my heart breaks for you and the kids. I wish I could take your pain away. I am here ALWAYS. Love you Bunches.. <3
from danica375 :
Your family will be in my prayers. Hope everything goes ok for you.
from nmnohr :
Of course I will keep your family in my prayers. You were kind enough to offer the same favor to me! I hope everything is OK.
from jadedlife :

Hi There! Thank you for your note on my diary! I will be praying for you. Thought it seems time has passed I'm sure it's difficult. You are in my thoughts. Love Christy
from mgottlieb :
I know you find comfort in your happy memories but I'll be thinking about you today :)
from danica375 :
My heart is with all of you!
from shaverwl :
When I woke up this morning, I havent been awake but a few minutes and while lying there I busted out crying. I think of "ALL" the good times we all had together and the Memories that will linger on. As much happiness that I know Brian is surrounded with in Heaven it is so hard to not be selfish and want him here on earth with us. Zach and Katie, I only hope that we can express to them as they grow what "Great" Parents they had for such a short time. We have to keep Brian and Laura in their hearts and memories as we do.. I LOVE YOU SIS!!
from starlight42 :
Just wanted to send you *hugs* today. I can't even imagine what you go through each day without your brother. *hugs*
from beautifulmes :
The guestbook isn't working right now so I'll leave a note here. Big *hugs* to you today.

from ontheoutside :
Make your image smaller, just replace the link you have with this one: http://cleanstart.diaryland.com/images/mvc-031f.jpg width="400" height="300" You might have to adjust the height accordingly until it looks better and not squished or whatever.
from rosarybeads :
Well, at least he was nice in his response - that's a plus. I agree with what Amanda said. And I also agree that it is ... strange (?)... that he would want to send photos of his kids and press contact with you after you told him you didn't want to continue talking to him. I'm having a strange issue-type-thing going on with ryan, although somewhat different in that we have Anna in common (biologically, no longer legally). I think it's a good thing, though, that you are handling it the way you are. xoxo
from manda-d :
I'm sure he'll find someone he is meant to be with... just like you have.
from chubbychic :
I hope your family feels better real soon, hon! *hugs*
from scarydoll :
You always leave such nice messages! Your kids are CUTE as little button-pies. haha. Your doggie is equally adorable.
from manda-d :
Poor Hunter :( I can't stand it when my kids are sick... I hope he feels better soon. Kayla is so cute with that missing front tooth!
from batten :
Hi Karen, You left me a lovely message ages ago and somehow in the turmoil of the past many months I lost track of you and your journal. I'm glad to have found you again through Janie and Marlen. I envy your trip to Disney. I wish you all joy. -J
from manda-d :
I use MS Photo Editor... Do you have that on your computer?
from manda-d :
Ooo, ooo, me, me... *raises hand*
from rosarybeads :
Ugh to SMGB. Anyway - that's so nice of her! That's like, the gift that keeps on giving. :) I can't wait to see pictures and hear all about your Disney adventure! xoxo
from danica375 :
Thanks!!
from danica375 :
I did it and it did go there one time, now it is saying page cannot be displayed, I have no idea what I'm doing wrong.
from starlight42 :
hey! you are so lucky! I'm glad your vacation was approved, you are going to have a blast, enjoy it!!
from danica375 :
I told my husband their faces will be worth it. Especially Jordan who does nothing but talk about wanting a jeep.
from marlen816 :
What a neat surprise! Joanne rocks!
from rosarybeads :
Thanks for the note; I know you know how I feel. :) I read your note in Tiff's guestbook today and I totally agree with you - I'm happy just being happy. That's my goal from now on - maintain the happiness. :) xoxo
from jadedlife :
Thx! However- I dont feel Ok LOL. If you go and look at my photos from our honeymoon and Me now OMG! I haven't missed a meal LOL. And I did WW a few yrs ago and lost 20 pds in now time. Its a healthy diet that I can stick with. Im looking forward to loosing my size 16 pants and getting back into my 12's. Fo' Sure!
from marlen816 :
Yeah, she's okay. Her PC was down until a few days ago. I told her to update soon. Hopefully, she will.
from nmnohr :
Well my terminal handles Northeast Wisconsin as well as some of Michigan......Maybe I have or will talk to you sometime :o)
from manda-d :
That snow globe thing is so cute! I've been busy today too!
from nmnohr :
Do you call our terminals all over? Otherwise you probably normally deal right with our Memphos terminal huh? That's so funny. Small small world.
from nmnohr :
I work at the terminal here in Green Bay. Where are you again? That's so funny that you work with our company sometimes. Small world huh??
from danica375 :
Thanks for the note. Hope you get your time off.
from shaverwl :
What makes you think we are laughing with you and not at you!! J/K. You most of the time, LOL, brighten my day. I wouldnt trade you for anything!!!!!
from shaverwl :
Yeah they seemed excited about it. If one or two doesnt want to do it then we will let them set out on it. And you wonder where Kayla gets her smart mouth from------- "Mommy" You get the tree put up?
from shaverwl :
Fingers and Toes Crossed!!!!!
from manda-d :
We made Mexican Lasagna, it was pretty darn good. I'll send you the recipe. I'm hungry right now too :(
from manda-d :
We didn't end up drinking margaritas, but you still should've come anyway!!!
from rosarybeads :
Karen, I don't know if you know about this diary group, but it's http://lightedpath.diaryland.com. I just saw it today and thought it'd be something you'd like to join. If not, you can find a great deal of Christian support through the group! :) xoxo
from shaverwl :
Hey there Mrs. Sneaky thing... I read your description on my profile and was puzzled at first... I will ask Jimbo about the ladder deal.. I am not sure if he is going to Millington or wants to make a trip to Millington. Wayne didnt come to work today!!!
from danica375 :
I could use some help. Wendy actually got the format for me. I have no idea how to link anything. thanks
from danica375 :
Yep, added one awhile back. Trying to get familiar with it. Also, Your puppy is adorable.
from rosarybeads :
Thank you Karen. Also, I agree with you on the SAHM issue. (sorry, issue is a bad word to use. subject? subject.) I did that for all of a few months and it drove me bonkers. I wanted to do MORE, so I did. I started attending classes full time instead of part time and that helped a lot. Now I'm heading back to school full time in January, but I'll still be home 4 days out of the week during the day. I'm thinking I need to be a classroom mother or something to that effect otherwise I'll lose my mind. LOL xoxo
from shaverwl :
Hey Sis. Give me some tips... These templates are Blah...
from rosarybeads :
Katie and Anna are like that, too. I'm hoping this is a phase. However, our girls are SPOILED rotten. There isn't a thing these girls have asked for or mentioned that they would like, that either we or Greg's parents haven't gotten for them. I gave up trying to fight with everyone about it. Alex is definately our sweetest child. But that could be because he's the baby.... LOL xoxo
from manda-d :
I know mine is :(
from jadedlife :
Thanks! I would of never known if you didn't bring it to my attention LOL
from rosarybeads :
I love the puppy. And the living room. Katie and Anna love the puppy too, they want me to tell you. (I called them in to look at the picture) :) xoxo
from starlight42 :
how cute!! that is the cutest puppy ever!! I vote for Gizmo too. Oh, the living room looks awesome too.
from ray0flight :
He (she?) is the flippin cutest thing EVER! I love the little legs! hahaha. too cute.
from manda-d :
My pleasure :) I'm gonna sneak over tonight when you guys are sleeping and snag him. ha ha ha! He's SO cute!
from ray0flight :
Woo cute! I say : Joannie!! hehe.
from manda-d :
I like Twiggy... ha ha No really, I think I like Gizmo.
from jadedlife :
I say name it one of the books of the bible :) Like.. Genesis or Titus would be cute.. Or maybe a character of the bible - ?
from starlight42 :
how sweet! hope you have a good thanksgiving :)
from marlen816 :
What a sweet card =)
from jadedlife :
I was saying' If anyone reconized the phrase I put in my entry (Sweet Dancing Jehovah) and where it comes from ( someone on TV says it) I would think they rock LOL Bc its on one of my Fav shows and one of the characters says it all the time. And I think its hysterical. I just pic. a Jehovah Witness dancing around with long hair whipping like crazy and their long skirt swirling ha..
from manda-d :
Jay took the kids to see "Elf" this past weekend. They said they enjoyed it too!
from mentalblank :
Thanks for the hugs, I needed that!!
from ray0flight :
Where have you been all week!?!
from rosarybeads :
LOL I'm the opposite. Or, I was. I couldn't imagine what on earth would make people wear jeans all the time if they didn't have to (bc of workplace dresscode or whathaveyou). I'm starting to build my collection of wool trousers and thick(er) sweaters (JCrew), so hopefully this slob phase will end soon. xoxo
from nmnohr :
[email protected] or [email protected] Thanks! I'm sure he'll love the hunging clip. Men and their hunting. I'll never get it. I usually enjoy being the hunting widow though!
from babygerl26 :
Thanks we have are ups and downs but we are up alot. Your man is out there honey. Honestly I have beedn divorced and barely dated for almost 4 years and I actually knew my D-baby for a year before we ever even went on a date heck we barely spoke that with God's help he made it much more. So maybe he is right under your nose. Maybe you have a man already and I din't realize. Anywhoo I read your entry about money and know exactly how you feel we are barely getting from paycheck to paycheck and I have less bills then ever before. How does this happen. So I will pray that GOd will bless your finances also I understand about child support I barely see it myself and my ex only has to pay 175 a month we were already getting jipped and he cant even pay that. I also read one of you favorite reads the lady who lost her son. I had to quit because I am at work fanning my eyes and quibbling like a moron. Though God is my greatest most trusted friend I still ask him why sometimes. My good friend in Texas and I were both pregnant together and both had boys. Her son was about to turn two and escaped from the house after his bath whild she tended to the baby she found him in the road after being hit by a car he was instantly killed. So why does God take our most precious gifts and all I can cling to is that our children our entrusted to us to care for they are sent her not for us but for Him and His purpose and that He has something He intends to do through them. So that is my comfort when seeing or hearing of little ones lost. Okay well I should go! I have to say though I am very excited to have new cyber friends!! And such strong courageous encouraging ones at that. Who have bad days just like me! Many blessings

from xnavygrrl :
My self-esteem is pretty low.
from xnavygrrl :
Thank you for the advice. It's definitely something worth investigating....:)
from rosarybeads :
Jenna and Meg didn't get it either, so that's going to be my weekend 'net project. But I did update last night, if that helps. :) xoxo
from starlight42 :
Hey Karen, sorry to hear that you're still having some problems with your x. Wouldn't it be nice if the state paid you the support dollars and then he owed the state! God knows if he owed them money, they'd be after him! good luck.
from rosarybeads :
LOL I promise to update at least once a day, how's that? I know there's a scripty thing that I can put on here, though... hm... good idea. You didn't get the notifylist email? xoxo
from rosarybeads :
11/12: Oh Karen, I know how you feel. Keith is in arrears for a little over 2k, and is refusing to catch up so I have no choice but to attach his tax return. Before Greg became Anna's dad, ryan was in arrears of over 28k! (That was actually our bargaining chip...) I hope Curtis wises up soon before his children become too old to put up with his shit. ((hugs)) I wish there was more I could do for you. xoxo
from mentalblank :
Girl, I just started reading your journal and I'm confused. Who's Curtis? Who's Greg? I think they're the ex and the current, but I'm not sure. Do you have a cast page?
from rosarybeads :
Awww! That Hunter is the sweetest child ever! You're a lucky lady to have such a good son. I hope Alexander stays sweet like that. Katie and Kayla are EXACTLY alike, Karen, so don't feel bad. Katie's newest phrase is , "...but... it's MINE!". Sigh. She is a spoiled little girl, though. We're trying to break her out of it but it's tough. xoxo
from rosarybeads :
I'm Dory too. We got mad skills, yo.
from jadedlife :
That is one perk about working here on base. I admit it. And the driving distance is awesome. But the pay : BAH! Im not really OFF/OFF tomm. I have to watch my 4yr old Nephew, Noah. I think Im gonna take him to the Veteran's Day Parade in Covington. And If Amanda ever EMAILS me to see a movie with her kiddos. So no laying on my butt all day LOL
from starlight42 :
sorry to hear you have been so stressed too lately! Work sure can suck. Oh- that's so weird about your hubcap, mine fell off this week too, it's back on now though.
from katress :
What a sweetheart for replacing your hubcap! Only a REAL gentleman would do that. :)
from rosarybeads :
11/05: (grrr to smgb) AWWW! Isn't it nice to have a Greg? :) xoxo
from jadedlife :
Ive been praying for your finacal situation. How are things with that? Worried friends yah know :)
from ray0flight :
We were allowed to trick or treat but it was always on a small scope - ie; our own street. Dressing up was limited to things like fire figthers, princess etc never ghosts and things. While I realised that as christians i don't think i understood the real reason why my parents didn't like it. thanks :0)
from starlight42 :
Oh no! I thought that Curtis was still in re-hab, guess that didn't work out :( I really feel for you & hope things look up soon. What a jerk!
from rosarybeads :
10/29: Karen... ((HUGE HUGS)). I read that last paragraph and I wanted to slap you a high five. I know exactly how you feel. I'm so happy for you all; I hope this continues for you, Hunter and Kayla - you all deserve this happiness sooo much. There's just something about Greg's.... lol xoxo
from xnavygrrl :
I'm so sorry that your ex is a pig. My ex is quite nonchalant about his support too. I care about him, but he doesn't return the courtesy. Greg sounds like a gift. God bless him for bringing such joy and light into the life of you and your children. By the way, thanks for the note..it means a lot to me.
from judybean :
What a wonderful man you have in your life!! Hooray for you, hooray for Greg and hooray for fixed things!!
from manda-d :
You are making ME cry! I'm so happy for you Karen, I truly am. Money is just that, money... where I can see that it can cause great stress, the things that matter are the ones you tuck in every night. And the man that you love. Everything is gonna be OK, just you wait and see.
from nmnohr :
Sounds like Greg is your light at the end of the tunnel. Proof that everything happens for a reason, and though it sucks that you are dealing with all the crap with Curtis - you can appreciate what you've found with Greg even more. You deserve your happiness, hang on to it :o)
from jadedlife :
Awww, thats soo sweet! I know EXACTLY how you use to feel with Curtis not knowing how to fix anything. It drives me NUTS. I tried to hang a flag pole bracet over the weekend. ME attempting to drill a hole into the brick was not a pretty site. Small things like that drive me NUTS. I always have to call on my Daddy for assitance.
from rosarybeads :
grrr to signmyguestbook! Okay. So. You are so right Karen. So right. I hope your reasons are revealed soon. I just about peed my pants when my sister said, "Y'know, you'd be dead right now if you were here - you wouldn't be able to handle all the ash". It's scary. But it makes me look at being in RI differently. xoxo
from jadedlife :
OOO, and just think.. Tax season is almost here again.. Cha-ching :)
from serendipityv :
I completely understand your dilema and the whole child support thing. It's so hard being a single Mom, I wish you the best and trust me, I FEEL your pain. Hang in there girl!!
from rosarybeads :
10/24: Things will work out. That sounds so generic, but its true. Keep doing what you're doing, and keep praying, and things will get better with time. I don't believe in normal. I don't know what that is. LOL I hate hate hate ex's. And I hear you on pretending things are normal (as you probably read in my recent entry). Sometimes I just want to beat the crap out of people. But ... I don't think that'd make me feel much better in the end. xoxo
from littlemummy :
Sure! You need to sign in first. I think you click on your name at the bottom on the screen. Sign in. And check stats. Pretty simple. If you need more help, just ask.
from jadedlife :
(Hugs) I think thats how God makes us stronger people. "The tings which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are Eternal." -2 Corinthians 4:18 Its always that way, once you get one thing accomplished another big wall pops up right after you crumbled the one before it. God has his way of working everything out. Just pray pray, and when you dont have any faith.. Pray some more :)
from manda-d :
Don't rub it in! ha ha ha
from dangerspouse :
Thank you very much for adding me to your Buddy List - I'm flattered! I lood forward to reading through your diary :)
from manda-d :
Help! I'm a HTML tard! I just sent you an e-mail, where are you?
from jadedlife :
Email me ([email protected]) I wanna discuss who u used for your implants.
from manda-d :
That quiz is rigged I tell ya! I got a 60! I am sooo ashamed!
from rosarybeads :
Dude, I got a 30. LOL xoxo
from nmnohr :
I did horrible on your quiz. How sad. I guess I haven't been reading long enough!
from nmnohr :
Don't feel bad about your score......the highest you could even get was 56. I suck at those kind of things myself. Yey for running water. Wooo hooo!
from marlen816 :
Yea! At least someone's water woes are over! Ours have just started! They went from $600 worth of damage to $1200 worth of damage in seconds! And none of it is covered by our insurance. Is today Monday??
from manda-d :
Poor Kannon :(
from marlen816 :
Well, if you need any water we have a ton in our front yard. Yup - yet another leak plagues us. Do you think Greg wants to come fix it? LOL
from starlight42 :
well, in usual fashion, my company was dragging it's feet. She is actually in a meeting right now with the "bosses" I will update when I find out what comes of it!! We've all been on pins and needles all week, since we were promised Monday and it turned into Wed...thanks for asking though.
from rosarybeads :
10/21: I think I could go for about one day w/o water then I'd go crazy. I HAVE to shower every single day - I'm not one of those types that can go like, every other day or whathaveyou. Like, a guy. LOL Laundry is another story - we could probably go one week without doing the laundry before it got on my nerves. xoxo
from jadedlife :
Thanks! I loved laying in the hotel bed in the morning and opening up the curtains. I would watch all the tall apartments buildings. As everyone would get ready for work one by one they would flick on their lights go sit on their balcony and sip on hot coffee, water there plants and laze around in their robes. Very neat. OO and By the way your pictures link isn't working?
from starlight42 :
hey, you had a busy weekend too. Your kids sound so great! Thanks for sharing your thoughts on my boss. I know what you mean about her getting what she deserves, she really has noone to blame but herself.
from saara687 :
Satu's doing okay. Not great, not horribly. We're very good at talking. :P By the time he read my diary entry, we'd already discussed that stuff. lol We both know how important this is.... ;)
from saara687 :
Glad you've decided to stay. :)
from rosarybeads :
10/16: Well I'm GLAD you're back so NYAH! LOL Like I said before, I agree with you. Everything in life does happen for a reason.. even if we can't see the reason right away, it's always there. xoxo
from redshoegirl :
Ha! You silly thing. Welcome back Karen darling. I would have missed you, I was fretting about never hearing about Hunter and Kayla again just this morning xxxx
from saara687 :
Yup ~ I'm a Canadian. ;)
from scarydoll :
thanks for your messages in my book - I really appreciate the positive thoughts. ;) You are a total sweetheart.
from trulypoetic :
thanks. i know i need to love myself and worry less about the love that comes from a man. i know that i have far to go, even though i have come so far already. i allow things to happen to me because somehow i feel that i don't deserve anything better. very sad, to acknowledge this and yet not have stopped it from happening.
from trulypoetic :
It's all about me and my inability to cope with everything without any support system, without family, without.... But those are all just excuses. To push someone away from you is entirely different than it is to be hit back or spit on. But I do know that any physical contact is wrong when its done out of anger and or frustration.
from babicharmz :
Uh huh! I think it's great to have children young. I just wanted to wait like another year before we got pregnant again. It relaly looks bad when you're under 18 with two babies (i'll be just under 18 when this baby is born)
from rosarybeads :
10/08: Well, I never claimed to be normal! LOL I have this "thing", I NEED to have things not only clean, but sterilized. xoxo
from rosarybeads :
10/07: I love cleaning carpets! LOL (That sounds so weird, I know) I used to rearrange my furniture all the time, so I know how exhausting that can be. I never did find a perfect arrangement.... hm. xoxo
from ray0flight :
I am glad that everything is sliding into place for you
from rosarybeads :
10/02: That's so sweet! Happy birthday to your mom! I hope that Katie, Anna and I have that same kind of relationship when they are older (we have that now, but they're little, y'know?). Although, it'll probably be more like the Spoiled Mama's Girl thing - I spoil my kids! I can't help it! LOL xoxo
from flyinby :
thank heavens for the power of prayer! :)
from flyinby :
thanks. i appreciate it. :)
from ray0flight :

Sept. 26 --> The plan is that he's coming for good.... So, soon. But in the meantime he has no net, and no time, and ... gah, I've gotten used to chatting with him on & off all day. lol I'll survive.
from saara687 :
Sept. 25: Thanks, Karen. :) I enjoyed writing that entry. Glad it's going well for you & your man, too.
from ray0flight :
Thanks for linking that entry... it was very interesting to read.
from flyinby :
sometimes i can't get in because of password protection, is that private entries or are you locking up? please drop me a line at flyinby diaryland com and let me know. thanks!
from flyinby :
You may always link to entries, that is just fine. I would love mroe people to read that entry, just to give them a better idea of what it's like . . .
from rosarybeads :
09/23: Thank you. I know I should just ignore it, and believe me, life is much happier when we forget that she exsists. I know it is simply a cry for attention (that unfortunately, some people give to her), but I don't understand why she's confusing the right to talk about her life with bashing someone with LIES who does NOT deserve it. And then all hell breaks loose when I defend my husband and my family. Whatever. xoxo
from nmnohr :
I will keep all of you in my thoughts and prayers. I can't imagine the adjustment this will be for your family - financially and emotionally, but hopefully the end result will mean that your children have a more responsible father, and a better chance at a relationship with him. Hang in there!
from sunnflower :
Thanks so much for your kind thoughts and prayers for my friend. I think all of that really makes a difference. Her surgery went very well and I am going to fly out to visit her tomorrow. Thanks again!
from manda-d :
DOH! I meant brown! My hair is already brown!
from jadedlife :
Well if you had read my intro page (grumble) LOL Alex is my husband my name is Jade.. :)
from saara687 :
Thanks for the continued prayer. :)
from jadedlife :
YOU YOU YOU sneaky LADY!! Im not sure if I want people reading it that I know. But if I decide to Ill give you the user and pass.
from rosarybeads :
09/12: Thank you, Karen. You have been just about the sweetest person to me lately. Thanks. :) xoxo
from saara687 :
9-12: I'm glad he's changed his mind! I wanted to work for Teen Challenge when I was younger & read David Wilkerson's (& Nikki Cruz's) book. ;) It's a great organization. All the best.
from rosarybeads :
09/12: I'm glad things are looking up! I feel for Curtis... I know what that's like to believe that no one in your family trully cares about you. It can do a lot of damage to a person. A lot. I'm glad that for whatever time he had with them, that your family gave him a piece of themselves - maybe that's enough to help pull him out of this. xoxo
from starlight42 :
I'm so glad that Curtis has changed his mind! I hope this will change his life. Your kids need him to be a good dad.
from saara687 :
Sorry that last night didn't go well. At least you tried. That's all anyone can do.
from saara687 :
"In the first 3 months of his drug use, he lost 60 LBS!!! Very angry, stopped calling the kids, never had money to pay child support. " Same deal here. I'll be thinking of you guys tonight.
from saara687 :
I noticed that we seemed to have a bit in common. I'm 27, too. Does it bother X that the IL's still have so much to do with me? No, I don't think so. I haven't asked him, though, so I can't say for sure. lol It's none of his business, anyway. They are still related to the kids, so they will always be part of our lives & vice versa. Take care! :)
from saara687 :
Satu is my sister. Thanks for the note & prayers.
from saara687 :
My X is also into drugs. I really feel for you & your kids.... Take care.
from lukeysmama :
My thoughts are with you throughout this. ((Hugs))
from rosarybeads :
09/08: Ugh, again?! Well, you know my 2 cents... but if you ever need to vent, I'm here. When is he going to realize what this is doing to his children? Sigh. You have my love and prayers, as always. xoxo
from ray0flight :
I am really sorry to hear that. I will keep you all in mind.. if you need to chat you know where you can find me.
from starlight42 :
Love the pics. I'll keep your ex in my prayers.
from arrora :
Alright. I'm dumb. I didn't see a photo album. I am going to go take a looksie now. xoxo
from arrora :
Hey! I wanna see pics of you!! Oh.. I didn't change my passwords. They are the same. Lots of people seem to be havin problems. Try again and let me know. xoxo
from rosarybeads :
09/04: ARGH to signmyguestbook! Okay, I'm going to "third" the request to see a pic of Greg - or better you AND Greg! I wanna see, I wanna see! :) Also, your daughter's haircut is so precious. I love it when little girls have their hair like that. And I LOVE that picture of you with the leaves behind you - so cute! xoxo
from judybean :
Sounds like a great weekend! I love the Six Flags in St. Louis (only there once but rode the Batman ride plenty of times!).. and the Arch really *is* great! AND, I even got to see a Cardinals game (vs. the Rockies) and saw McGwire hit a homer... this was... three+ years ago, but .. so great! I'm glad you guys had a blast!!
from arrora :
Sowwy!! hehe UN:too PW:safe Try now hunny! Missed ya! xoxo
from starlight42 :
Hope you had a nice time at Six Flags. I hope the weather held up for you- it's raining here today :( The thing that pisses me off about the Madonna and Britteny thing is that she even gives B. any credit as a performer. I just think B. sucks. I don't see the talent. I can see though that if I had a child watching that, it would be a different thing.
from rosarybeads :
08/25: Thank you, Karen. That's what I want - the focus to be on Alexander right now. I'm starting to feel like there's something wrong with my cervix! I just need four. more. centimeters. Dangit! LOL I left a note for erlenweg. You're such a sweet person. xoxo
from rosarybeads :
08/22: Nope. No kiddo. And I've been 6cm, 70% dialated for about a week now. ARRRRGGGHHH! My midwife says that since we haven't reached our EDD (08/27), that we can wait until then for alternative methods (ie: pictocin, breaking my bag of waters, etc.) to birth this boy. I've been having the same kind of contractions for almost two weeks now, so you can imagine how bad I wanted to throttle my midwife! LOL The important thing is that Alexander is healthy - which he is - and that he's doing a-ok inside Mommy - which he is. :) xoxo
from screwedupja :
Hi, I just wanted to ask you to add me to your favorites. You have my old diary that is now closed listed, but not the new one. ;o) Have a great day!
from starlight42 :
I don't think my note in the gbook went through...just wanted to say thanks for the note, I appreciate it. I'm going to try my best to enjoy my time off! That lead foot thing is funny, reminds me of my sister. Ya, that gets expensive!
from manda-d :
I've been wanting to cut Kaylee's too, but Jay begs me not to. I'm letting her bangs grow and as soon as they reach her chin, I'm cutting it whether he likes it or not.
from flyinby :
that's the one! (cabinet) he sure ticked me off with that whole thing. he felt stupid when he found out that the cabinet he /told/ me he got was only $60 - not the couple hundred he said it was! lol
from rosarybeads :
08/18: Hey lady! I love reading about how happy you are, and how things are going so well between you and your Greg. It totally brightens up my day (which is a difficult task as of recent events). I hope and pray that things continue on this road for you, Hunter, Kayla, your Greg and his boys. I am so glad that this continuous happiness has found you all. :) xoxo
from manda-d :
Ugh, your GB just gave me an "oops" message. SO irritating! Anyway, John has had homework every night this week. Kaylee has homework over the weekend. I really like Kaylee's teacher, but I'm not so sure about John's. The first day of school she took issue with John going by his middle name. I had to INSIST that he be called John and I could tell she didn't like it. I hope I am just over reacting, but it really left a sour taste in my mouth. We, of course, are at the football field every night. It's exhausting, but John seems to be enjoying it this year so that makes it all worth while. Call sometime soon :)
