hey....your potter survey was pretty rockin'!
from laura-baura :
I hope you're okay. Could I have your password please if you don't mind? xx
from phoenixchild :
WTF where did you GO?
from veryberry :
If you get married at Disney World, you have to do it at that little chapel thingy...which is cute, of course, but somehow it just seems so common...like getting married on Valentine's Day. Wouldn't it be awesome to have the wedding in front of the castle itself? Every time I go to DW and walk by the castle at night, when it's all lit up in blues and purples, I think about how wonderful it would be to get married right there. Of course, I'd probably have to have scads of money and be a VIP to do that. But it's still a nice thought. ;)
from calthea :
Congrads! I hope you have the wedding and the life of your dreams.
from vadergirl :
+girlish shriek+ Congrats! May you two be very happy together. Seems like you caught a good one there! :D Nice to see people in love, I hardly see it around my place.
from preciousj :
CONGRATULATIONS on your engagement!!! I am soooooooo jealous!! I wish you nothing but the best! :)
from lomelinde :
Dude, I'm the same with my name. I can't seem to say it properly when everyone else can and I hate having to say it to people. And I totally mumbled it to someone today, too. Spooky. Sort of. :)
from mangofarmer :
Hmmm. On my 2002 return Sizz-ears didn't take out anything because I had claimed some kind of weird exemptions. But I still got a refund (from my grocery store job)... I dunno. That just puzzles me that you owe so much money. *scratches head*
from mangofarmer :
J'aime les 'chalupas'. Mmmmmm. J'aime beaucoup 'Taco Bell' aussi.
from preciousj :
Bravo for having the courage to move out! I trust your decision was a wise one, and that things will now start to get better for you!
from cathieanne :
how early? i can drive you, quassibly.
from preciousj :
Yay to fun weekends with boyfriends!! :)
from preciousj :
Thank you!! :)
from preciousj :
nice pic! I'm sure Benj will love it! Have fun with him this weekend! ;)
from laura-baura :
But but... you have such a great domain name!
from preciousj :
Isn't love grand? :)
from wbschat :
We are trying to get more visitors into this new chatroom I stumbled across. If anyone here remembers the old WBS web streaming chat then that is the type of chat that it is. Please at least check it out. Use your own personal pictures as you chat or any other type of picture. You can pick up to about 10 pics that change automatically as you chat. Turn off the ones you dont want to show. Have about 10 taglines that switch as you chat. Leave post it notes. Saturday night is nekkid night. It's just fun. Please stop by and at least try it. http://www.endlessrant.com Streaming chat needs to be brought back. So many miss it and now finally a place just like it.
from wbschat :
Not sure if you know about it but there is a chat now very similiar to WBS. The site it http://www.endlessrant.com Spread the word and maybe we can bring back what we miss so much
from elenadin :

from vadergirl :
Awwww, that majory blows. even though I'm mostly a metal chick I do quite like "Maps" and the ways she handles the mic smoothly.
from preciousj :
Oooooooooooh! I saw the most perfect shirt for you today!! It had the "Blow Pops" logo on it! Too bad they only had extra small, or else I woulda totally got it for you!
from preciousj :
:( I wish you the best. Bitter and unloving (or at least seemingly bitter and unloving) parents can be a drag. But try to cheer up with that thought that soon you'll be out of there and with Benj. You'll find your "happily ever after." I'm sure of it! You're great, and you deserve it!
from vadergirl :
Let's all congratulate us with another cup of tea A very merry unbirthday to you Now statistics prove Prove that you've one birthday Imagine just one birthday every year Ah, but there are 364 unbirthdays Precisely why we're gathered here to cheer A very merry unbirthday To me? To you A very merry unbirthday For me? For you Now blow the candle out, my dear And make your wish come true A very merry unbirthday to you!!!! Eh, I'm too feverish to say anything intelligent. Blah Blech and good night!
from mangofarmer :
Woohoo! Happy Half Birthday! :-D
from elenadin :
Hey! I'm sorry you've been having a hard time with those evil people who like to leave cruel comments. They truly are cowardly and immature and just plain stupid. I know that the best thing to do is just ignore them because they (and their silly opinions) shouldn't matter to you, but I also know that it still hurts. I hope that the support of you friends and family will help you feel better, and that you will feel more able to ignore the petty folks.

hey do you know of a harry potter web site where you can play the parts of your charater?
from pashiesplace :
(((Laura)))
from elenadin :
Hello! Thank you for leaving me my first note! lol. I remember you, Kahj! I once read your diary once in a while but that was when I had had T-I-M-E. ;) Yes, I have finally created a diary. Actually, it's not my first one, which I had posted maybe one or two entries in before the account got deleted. Maybe I'll keep this one and the other one a little while longer. I hope that you have been well and that things go the way you hope. Good luck studying to become a librarian (you still want to be a librarian, right?), and I wish you happiness in your relationships. :)
from vadergirl :
No comments section anymore ? =sad kitty face= Oh well, guess you would have been bugged by my silly responses anyways. You look more Spanish than I do! Not fair! If I forget then have an excellent Holiday Season, and if that's not possible at least don't have a Horrible one either.
from pashiesplace :
I've been reading you for a really long time. In fact, Daydreamings introduced me to Diaryland. I just wanted you to know how great a person I think you are. I was raised as a JW and a lot of the family stuff you've gone thru echoed my home life years ago. Everything will work out. You'll find your way and figure out exactly what your adult life is meant to be about. You're amazing now, but will be even moreso in ten years!
from cathieanne :
did you like, pull down the diary? i keep getting a white screen. it's odd.
from living-lulu :
Thank You : )
from elvensea :
Unfortunately, my excellent friend, I do not remember a Bill and Ted cereal. Though that would have been on my list of most awesome things. However, I do know that there was a cartoon even if I cannot truly say I ever watched it. I probably would have, but my totally older sister, Hayley, was a complete t.v. hog. And it was most heinous of her to deprive me of such a stellar experience.
from elvensea :
Excellent! *air-guitar riff* ^_~
from elvensea :
Whoa. You are a most outstanding friend. That would be stellar. The url is www.billandted.org. Have you seen this movie? If not, I highly recommend it. Though as I said, not everyone loves it as much as I. :D Thanks a million!
from living-lulu :
Clicked on your banner and I just wanted to tell you..I love the Emily layout : )
from sunnflower :
I just wanted to tell you how very cool the new dland trading cards are. I never got one the first time around and I am thrilled to have one now! Thanks, thanks, thanks. Also, I really love your blog and I am going to link it from my blog - Little island at http://littleisland.pitas.com
from cathieanne :
Y'know, the profile still claims to be unalphabetized.
from caspia :
Hey fellow Minnesotan! If you're a fan of the Wild, or love the Twins, please join the Wild, or Twins-fan diaryrings. Let everyone know we support them. Thanks and have a great day.
from rockonbytch :
cool layout!
from kerrang-girl :
Hey, thanks for telling me about the Spanish. I have already learnt French, and I think that is similar, so I should be okay. Hope you are okay, take care! ~Amy
from elvensea :
Yes. Yes, I have to concur. Johnny Depp in eyeliner is a good thing. In fact, Johnny Depp *period* is a good thing. Even though he's like what, forty now? But anyway, I just thought I'd commend your appreciation of him. And also: IREALLYWANNASEETHATMOVIE! That is all.
from sooticaj :
Hey thanks! I'm ripping through these new layouts like there's no tomorrow! This one's not quite done yet, but I'm far to impatient. lol :) Well, ciao for now!
from pokytoes :
Hey, just wondering what font you used for the text "the lola show" on your page. thanks!
from cheaptrick8 :
OH MY GOODNESS! THANKS A MILLION! THESE LAYOUTS ARE GOLDEN!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!
from faithandhope :
So, umm.., how do you make your awesome layouts? Do you use a certain program, and, if so, how do you find the pictures to use? It confuzzles me very much.
from cathieanne :
perhaps the "buddy plan," with its unlimited text messages, is in order.
from kerrang-girl :
I am totally in love with your diary :P The layout is fantastic too! :)
from av0260 :
Thanks for the note! It's hugworthy even, though I'm sure we have more important things to do - like hunting down rebel, laptop-pilfering boys with lead pipes and the like - than worry about my mental health. Eh, I'll either figure this out or start pretending it doesn't exist by the weekend: don't you worry, i'm not going anywhere. not yet, anyway, hehe. Have a good one, Lola!
from faithandhope :
I just wish there was a way to make you happy. I do know the way, but I couldn't do anything about it. You rock, your diary rocks, and love ya lotz! ~Sabrina
from savageorphan :
te hehe and can i start by saying this is the first time ive been on television.... TV Anchor: no im sorry there's no time
from invisibledon :
thanks for visiting
from savageorphan :
is it wrong to be so turn on by your words of wit and truth?
from songnshadows :
Hi, I just read your Lord of the Pants, and I laughed my pants off. XD It also brought to my attention that Coca-Cola does not feel good coming out one's nose.
from faithandhope :
I have AIM, and would like to chat with you so if you could leave me a note in my diary, I would appreciate it!
from preppypunq :
...you're neat. i'ma start reading you now. i like your style. live, laugh, love.
from ravenlochlea :
Me loves you Lola! I hope you feel better soon sweetie.
from veryberry :
Guys are notoriously dense when it comes to noticing things like haircuts. :P At least, every guy *I've* come in contact with has been. Then again...sometimes even I don't notice, lol! But that's no surprise, 'cause I'm clueless most of the time. ;)
from cathieanne :
Just listening to Toto...thought I'd dedicate a couple lines to ya: "Hold the line--love isn't always on time."
from cathieanne :
Wow, a public invitation. Is this like being proposed to in public, where you have to say yes, or look like a jerk...? Kidding. Of course I'll come. And yeah, that was a lousy sex dream. I like that my phrasing of "pleasuring him" comes back to play.
from cathieanne :
Not to be immature, but--ew! Talk about the ultimate sloppy wet kiss...and chlorine-y too.
from tornlace :
LOL hey i saw a banner roll by tonight for: http://jettemarie.diaryland.com/ and it said simply "you'll love it like a fat kid loves cake" I myself love cake, very much-mmm but no i didn't search for you on google with that phrase or any other- i just come to DL! :)
from veryberry :
How do you think your mom would react if you came home with a pin that said "I heart nerdy girls"? *waggles eyebrows suggestively* ;)
from cathieanne :
I wasn't primping! I was at dinner with my family! I'm shocked that you...know me so well. I *do* like playing dress up, though. But I blame Fazolis for this one. It only took me ten minutes to get ready.
from veryberry :
a)The blimp story WAS freaking hilarious, b)The sheep's head story was disturbing and I think I'll have nightmares, c)You sound so much like me with the Grant stories that maybe you ARE related to me (hehehe), and d)I wish *I* could visit you! *cries* Ah well, hehe, tell Misty I say hello, even though I've never met her before! ;) And I hope you two have an AWESOME time!!!
from cathieanne :
You know, in the Sims, there's this cheat where the coffee machine gives them perfect energy and bladder levels...my people don't even own beds, and if they do, they never go into the room. I wish they made those in real life. Sleep is overrated
from sooticaj :
Lol! Now I know when I added br I got a huge space - I forgot to take out the p.../me blushes. oops... Thanx sis! -- sootica
from sooticaj :
Hey there! Cool diary, I read it most days! How do you get your last 5 entries to sit so closely together?? Unlike mine, who space themselves apart. Note me back Sister! Keep up the funny diary - go get Grant! -- sootica
from elvensea :
Good grief! I've just had a revelation, and I'm affearing the answer will not be one I like. Are the vacant.cc-leah and the i-am-unique-Leah one and the same? Oh dear! If they are, then I can't believe I've been missing out on entries...*pounds herself* And why would anyone want two diaries anyway? Even if they are both blogs?
from veryberry :
I had a feeling I'd be misread, which was why I almost took that sentence out after I'd written my entry and was looking over everything. Buuuuut, the bit I had in my entry about blurting things out to Geoff was TOTALLY not an insinuation about you and Grant. Your relationship is moving differently than mine, and you felt it was the right time to say something to him. In my situation, it would've been more like blurting because I felt I needed more time before I could actually say something. So please don't think I'm being catty toward you--I'm actually ecstatic over here that you're getting on so well! :)
from laura-baura :
Ooh and forgot to say, I *really* admire you for telling him, I was too scared to do that with said friend. You never know he might change his mind, and if not he's missing out! ;) x
from morgolwen :
I thought I'd ask you because I noticed that you have one... where did you get the countdown thing for ROTK? I've noticed them at a lot of people's sites. Thanks :)
from cathieanne :
Hey, google yourself again. You'll be pleased to note that they have crawled at least part of diaryland lately...and the entry where you talk about "lolaw***a" showing up in a google search now shows up. You've actually tripled the results. Nice.
from writer4eva :
Howdy! I read your pants entries during one of my classes and I nearly fell to the floor laughing! I too am a LOTR (oh, wait, LOTP) fan (then again, who isn't?) and found them quite amusing.
from cathieanne :
Thanks for the plug. You're the greatest. :)
from lomelinde :
Woot, congrats on a new computer! That's was really great of your parents. :) Ooh, and I like her name.
from cathieanne :
How is it that we both write goofy one-line entries on the same day? It's like we've got some kind of psychic connection or somethin.
from mylifeat15 :

from eowyn28 :
I always wanted to leave you a message but for some reason I wasn't able too. I want to let you know that I always always read your diary... and is pretty cool :) You amuse me with all your entries. Keep the pretty good and astouning diary xoxo Eowyn
from cathieanne :
creo que "modding his case" probably significa modifying el case de su computadora. O, it's possible I'm entirely wrong. You should have asked him...o, asked him to "mod" YOUR case. ;)
from imaginez :
you are too funny! the FOTR behind the scenes? couldn't have said it better myself! keep em coming!
from erinmj :
Tiger-striped pajamas? Am v. v. jealous. ;) Where did you get them? I must have some for my own. :)
from cathieanne :
I believe there's a thing in the diaryland faq that says how to make your diary not show up in web searches. Were I not so lazy, I would just go find out for you. Oh well.
from i-am-quipod :
the minions of randomness never cease to amaze me...thanks for the note! i kinda thought nobody ever read my diary except for my own little web stalker. DORKS RULE.
from cathieanne :
Uh, if Grant googles your screenname, your diaryland profile is the only page that comes up. You better hope that boy is honest. Oops. Well, my friends and I have a little saying--your fault for looking!
from veryberry :
Squeeeee!!! I'm grinning like an idiot along with you! ;) Even though I ought to be jealous that you're getting farther with Grant faster than it's taken me with Geoff! LOL! Still, that's terrific. And I know I should probably save this for an email or something, but I'm so HAPPY that things seem to be going so well for you! It's about time, eh? ;) I knew it would happen, though. :) *smushes*
from cathieanne :
What's worst is when these young whippersnappers don't even realize that the song is a cover/sample. They think these terrible "artists" came up with it themselves. Oh, not hardly. Not hardly.
from cathieanne :
Ah, Rock'n'Bowl/Cosmic/midnight bowling is super fun. I'd be happy to help make up your group of friends. Though three still isn't big enough, because then I'm just the third wheel. But yeah. Golfland *is* fun, but there is a high eleventeen year old percentage.
from laura-baura :
Oops, that guestbook signing wasn't meant to be anonymous! Just so you know which Laura it was babbling on about Chicago! ;) x
from cathieanne :
"Damn, that's a big paycheck," she thought, though she doesn't swear. "Can I have some?" I can't believe I found another person who cares about blond/blonde AND cares enough to think that the cursive L is the prettiest letter! [wipes tear] You had me at hello...you had me at hello. [more tears]
from elvensea :
Seeing as the minimum time allotment between guest book signings being less than two minutes is strictly forbidden, I will now proceed to say: Where is that quote from (the one you used for my diary in your profile)? I just read like, five of those Princess Tales books that are all based in the kingdom of Biddle on Wednesday. And unless I am completely wrong and Ella Enchanted also takes place in Biddle, I cannot remember which book that quote is from! The Fairy's Mistake? Cinderellis and the Glass Hill? Oh agony. If only my memory worked better on 20 hours without sleep. *weeps*
from cathieanne :
Ditto on Colin Firth movie. Can't.stand.Amanda.Bynes...!
from eowyn28 :
I have been wanting to write this for days but never had the opportunity, your diary is extremely cool, you have the gift of writting journals, I'm more into writting stories, I really like your diary, the layout you have is so beautiful, I really like it! I put myself the nickname because I have some stuf common with Eowyn too, long story but eyy very cool diary... I'm very impress... xoxo Eowyn
from cathieanne :
I only skimmed ONE paragraph. The pants/buttons one. Well, two. There was another one, something about similarities between you and LOTR or something. Anyway, on to the purpose of the note: you should come to bellydancing with me at the gym. I get like 10 free guest passes a year or somesuch nonesense.
from captivated- :
Heh, I forgot to leave my URL, but now you have it =o) xx Sommer xx
from veryberry :
Augh! Wuthering Heights! *falls over and dies* Read that for an assignment my senior year, and I couldn't stand it, lol! But some people really like it for some reason, so hopefully you'll like it too. ;) I just couldn't help responding, hehe...
from dernhelm :
You mentioned liking long books... have you ever read "The Mists of Avalon" by Marion Zimmer Bradley? It's WONDERFUL. And I too am 5'5", 5'6", somewhere around there. My parents are 6'2" and 5'9", and even my younger sisters are taller than me -- the 11-year-old one is 5'6", the 13-year-old is 5'10"! It's insane!
from cathieanne :
Hehe. The quote you've got for me in your profile...I can't believe I said that. [sheepish grin]
from elvensea :
Oh dear. It left my message twice.
from elvensea :
I meant to say in your guestbook that maybe the sheet music was abriged, but the guestbook wouldn't let me sign again so quickly, garr! And, I was thinking...this--predilection--for Grima is somewhat like others' "predilection" for Voldemort. And I've never been able to understand. ^_^ Oh well.
from elvensea :
I meant to say in your guestbook that maybe the sheet music was abriged, but the guestbook wouldn't let me sign again so quickly, garr! And, I was thinking...this--predilection--for Grima is somewhat like others' "predilection" for Voldemort. And I've never been able to understand. ^_^ Oh well.
from cathieanne :
The more I know you, the more I am beginning to think that I no longer exist! I, too, swear in my head, even though it never comes out of my mouth. And I've wanted a sweater with an "L" on it for at least five years now. We are so freakishly alike.
from dernhelm :
*giggles* But I find fonts INTERESTING. I used to spend hours hunting out Elvish fonts available for downloading! The SuburbanLight font you linked was lovely. :)
from erinmj :
Lol! I learned the story of Phantom of the Opera (and a lot of other famous stories like it) through Wishbone too! That's awesome. :D
from vadergirl :
I especially enjoyed you chocolate covered coffee bean thingie but if Bean can be sweet he should also be HOT ! Chilli BEAN anyone ?
from waving :
hellos hellos. i just thought i'd say hellos because i really like your diary and i wish things were greater and grander
from ewoodsgirl :
hi, i love ur diary. i'm an lotr obseesor 2. especailly with elves and elijah wood/frodo =). i was just looking at random diaries.....
from tohya :
Ooooh. We just noticed something else. The Evenstar is much less expensive than the other one--there's about a fifty dollar difference! My vote's for the Evenstar pendant, then! *giggles*
from tohya :
oooooh. The Elven Necklace is the prettiest one. Except nobody would really recognize it, methinks. And the Evenstar is pretty, too, and everyone would recognize that. *blinks* Not much help, am I? Well, if you just want something pretty, get the elven. If you want something slightly-less-pretty-but-one-that-everyone-would-know, get the Evenstar! *giggles again*
from cathieanne :
Elven necklace.
from sevennchik :
I think you should get the Evenstar pendant. Very pretty... in fact, I want one too! Love the layout, by the way. :)
from cathieanne :
Two things: first, a "B" means "above average" in college...even though I'd cry if I blew my 4-0. Second, take as many classes with DeLamotte at ASU as you can. No tests, two papers, and weekly reading responses. Plus thoughtful discussion! It's fantastic.
from cathieanne :
"Dsela?" Give it to him? Her? Do I even have the right verb? Dar, to give...I think?
from guysinmakeup :
Thanks for the note and the welcome! And yes, isn't the picture in my layout INCREDIBLY hot? hehe, sorry, but Elijah.. *faint* Aww, he's just so cute. And your layout is awesome! I of course love owyn, so your layout is among my favorites of all I've ever seen. Thanks again and talk to you soon xoxMary
from elvensea :
Wow! You finished the books! I always knew you'd love them, hehehe...Anywho, I've finished my other four non-Tolkien books, and now I'm back on track with FotR for my (count 'em) 2nd time! Whee!
from cathieanne :
Hey, not everyone on T-Mobile gets unlimited mobile to mobile. For instance, me. It depends on your plan, although if I understand correctly I can add 500 mobile to mobile minutes for $5. It's a penny an minute!
from bonkersquipy :
hello...i have a question...how did you add the picture to the diaryring code for changing rooms...thanks a lot...for the info
from veryberry :
*sniffles* Yeah, but still, Lola...I miss yoooooou! :P
from erinmj :
Laura - your LotR 'pants' quotes had me in stitches. Lol. I've always been a fan of the Star Wars quotes in the same vein; 'I find your lack of pants disturbing.' ;) heehee.
from veryberry :
I sympathize with your clothing lament! Granted, I've come to an understanding with my larger chest (ha ha), but it doesn't help when the clothes that fit THAT part are too loose and baggy everywhere else!! This is why making my own clothes (or at least knowing how so I can alter ready-to-wear articles) would be so nice! :P
from elvensea :
But! But! Laura--*eyes wide*--NO ONE pantses a dwarf! (And no one tosses them either, for that matter)
from cathieanne :
Ah, but the question remains, how far is home and work from their respective stations? I'd wait the twenty minutes if it weren't another two miles from the station to wherever I was going. And yep, we're an incredibly huge metro area--about as big as L.A. Besides, extreme heat and extreme cold are different. You can only take of so much clothes before you're stuck. :p
from cathieanne :
No, no, no. The lightrail will never work. No one is going to wait 20 minutes in July for the train and then walk to work from the station! The valley is too spread out for lightrail to be cost-effective. And I don't like driving either. But lightrail just isn't the solution to our traffic woes.
from evetron4000 :
Thanks much!
from evetron4000 :
Hi, I was wondering if there was still any way I could get a diaryland trading card.
from sevennchik :
I applied to the LotR Sisters a few weeks ago, and I still haven't gotten a reply. Lemme know if you get one... I was also wondering what's going on, and why they are so late to respond.
from elvensea :
I don't think its that there *aren't* women in the Lord of the Rings, but that many of them don't play a pivotal role--not even Arwen (at least not in the book's as I know you've heard before). I never thought about him not having many heroines in the series because it doesn't bother me. I am nothing of a feminist. :P
from cathieanne :
Oooh, I cried too! That is so sadly sweet. Go Jo!
from cathieanne :
I vote that you just transfer your credits. No point paying for classes that aren't going to do you any good.
from girl-aflame :
ahh, i see. yes, that does rather suck. especially since so many of the free subdomains out there won't let you link to graphics you store on their servers.. unless you have a domain of your own, you're pretty much screwed. thanks for clearing it up, though.
from girl-aflame :
Hello. I just joined the catwoman diary ring, and I noticed the graphic doesn't load properly. I thought it might just be mine, but yours doesn't load either and so I figured, if the hostess' graphic isn't loading, there must be something wrong with it. Just thought you might want to check on it..it kind of defeats the point if you can only see a red box with an X in the corner.
from elvensea :
Oooh, I think I would definitely pick Aragorn over Legolas, I mean...Legolas is blonde! ^_~ And, I think that Eomer and Faramir are good looking too, plus they all have accents! It reminds me of something funny that Karl Urban said on one of the videos at lordoftherings.net...I'll have to get on msn and tell you, 'cause it would take up too much space here. :D And I remind you of Ella, eh? *preens*
from elvensea :
I meant brown VEST, hehe
from elvensea :
Hey, I like the white one with the brown dress, its simple AND pretty. I also prefer Eowyn a lot to Arwen, because at least she does something in the actual books. Not just recieve sympathy parts...^_~
from elvensea :
Oh yeah! The Accolade! By E.B. Leighton! He's my FAVORITE artist--in factorama, I have The Accolade in my bedroom. All I need is a frame...
from veryberry :
Which Comm class do you have to take? I know you posted it before, but I forgot. *giggles* Anyway, most likely you won't have much homework at all in that class; Communication classes are notorious for not having a lot of homework...or so one of our faculty members told us. ;) That's why all the slackers pick that as their major, lol!
from marn :
I love their goofy songs. I'll get my kid to recommend one of their CD's :)
from elvensea :
Whot's all this? Me make you dream about 'oo? Jeremy Northam? That loverly Mr. Knoightley? Bobsyuruncle! (Anywho, I must say I'm dreadfully sorry that I have caused such a travesty. Imagine, Jeremy Northam--in your dream! It must have been a nightmere...^_~) *mumbles about how some people have all the luck*
from sevennchik :
Just wanted to say that I completely empathize with you and your work situation. I am going through the same thing! I have work or school or sometimes both everyday. Also, I love reading your diary. A friend of mine sent me a link to the Disney Princess quiz (I'm Belle! Woohoo!) and then I visited your site (before you were billed by the evil people who said you'd gone over your bandwidth!). Ever since I've been a fan of your writing, as well as diaryland. Keep up the good writing!
from maxthemonkey :
just wanted to thank you for introducing me to diaryland- it's been my therapy. i don't want to freak you out, so i'll tell you how you introduced me to it without even knowing it. i saw a link to your disney princess quiz in an acquaintance's aim profile, so i went there. i'm belle, in case you were curious. so anyway, after taking the quiz, i checked out your website, and i thought it was cool. last night, you talked about things you've learned in college- you are so right about them all. well, i just wanted to say thanks...
from cathieanne :
I am supposedly working...ahem. Thus I'll be brief--if you need to borrow my printer, I'm up at all hours of the night and day.
from erinmj :
I love the new layout! You're right, Beauty and the Beast is the best movie... I never get tired of watching it. Maybe it's just me, but the writing on your new layout is kinda hard to read because it's so small--I think it's just because I'm using 1024x768 resolution, though.
from cathieanne :
Ack! New layout is super cute, but the font is too small! My eyes are so bad, I was squinting and being all old lady-like trying to read it. Maybe I should just break down and get the reading glasses, hey? :)
from elvensea :
I'm so sorry. I've just skimmed your last few entries (more than a few since I've been internet starved for two weeks) and I feel like I've let you down. :/ Maybe, but I don't know. Maybe hearing from me would have cheered you up, or maybe it didn't really make that much of a difference. Either way, I should have called you. Sorry Laura.
from cathieanne :
Politely indignant letters get you everywhere. Write to them and explain what happened--how you asked if you were over your bandwidth and no one replied, etc.--and see what they can do. Be nice, but obviously angry. It rarely fails.
from xxemokatiexx :
I stumbled upon your diary looking for trading cards, and I must say...I love your layout!! Oh yeah, and I added your card to my collection as well, if you'd like to come check out mine. See ya!!
from elwen :
never heard of me before, i know, but MINNESOTANS UNITE! or at least, former minnesotans. I still think minnesota winters are the best, despite the majority grumblings...^-^
from veryberry :
LoL...it's funny and scary at the same time that everyone's starting to notice Jason Isaacs now, when I've been hearing allll about him for months now. :P He was in "The Patriot" with Mel Gibson, if you've seen that...he's the guy who orders a church full of people to be burned to the ground. *giggles* I've had to sit through so many movies with him in it (thanks to Lauren) that seeing him as Lucius made me want to upchuck! But you're right; he's a good actor. ;)
from runic-rhymes :
::bouncebouncebouncebouncebounce:: Jason Isaacs! He's the coolest. ::laughs:: And, you know, now gracing my page for awhile :). That was a really good interview, he's so interesting. Enjoy your CoS reviewings ;)!
from erinmj :
I'm glad you had fun at the movie! It was pretty good, wasn't it? :D I'm glad you wore your costume! I wore mine as well, but got a lot of funny looks. There was hardly any one else dressed up! :-p (By the way, those rugby shirts sound awesome :))
from elvensea :
Thats funny, you know, because in art just during freshman year, we studied poulaines.... ...They are shoes. You know, the ones with the long tips that curve. The jester type ones? Hehehe, I'm so mean. A-and, Amelie is french (kind of) for Emily. Or at least for Amelia, which is VERY similar (you have to admit) to Emily.
from elvensea :
ooo...myriad...nice word
from veryberry :
Dunno if this would actually work or not, but...For the SCSU thing, you could always try putting down your grandmother's addy as being yours...Like I said, I don't know if it'd work or not, but Mom told me that's what she'd end up doing for me if we moved out of state... :P
from loriega :
you mentioned in one of your entries that you were quoted. I can't find the site that quoted you or the entry with the link. Can you tell me where to go?
from elvensea :
Speaking of dreams, I had a dream last night that I met you at a mall in Arizona and I was helping you look for a Gryffindor student costume! ^_^ Hehe...
from la-bumblebee :
Gah, why can't the librarys near me hold events like that?!! :)
from runic-rhymes :
Don't worry about the Nano novel....I started Friday and I've only got 1,668 words. And I'm stuck there. I have like, a fiftieth of my story and I'm already stuck :). We'll all get through it together.
from elvensea :
And when I get the picture that we superheroes took I am going to scan it and show you through e-mail or something! :) I would host it on a site but my attempts at making one suck. Tootles again!
from elvensea :
So, Jeremy was Mr. Furious and Emily was the Bowler and they both looked so cool! (Jeremy was handsome too, eheh ^_~) Anyway, I thought I'd let you know, since you're the Tori Amos fan, that I love her new song (and you probably wont like it, but it's the only one I've heard) A Sorta Fairytale. Anywho, bye bye! Hope to talk to you soon :) You're an awesome person Laura.
from emystica :
http://emystica.diaryland.com/021029_64.html I amde one, too! Wish there was a place where you can submit these to see everyone's ;) Anywhozit, thanks for making a fun thing :D (and who is this andrew dude? He would HATE my title ;))
from psianina :
I'm leaving this as a note since "andrewwhy" STILL doesn't seem to get the point (how stupid can a person get?), and I don't think he even reads my diary. Note to "andrewwhy," the idiot who keeps leaving me notes now that he's been threatened with being banned from my guestbook: STOP BOTHERING ME. Quoting Spongebob Squarepants is not plagiarizing the show. 1.) I never claimed I made up the quotes with "hours" of my own "hard work," so your comparison of me with the person who stole my last layout is completely off-base. 2.) I give credit to the show. I never try to pretend their words are mine. 3.) The creators have not asked me to stop quoting their show. I think they actually like having fans who quote the show, amazingly enough. 4.) You're an idiot. Your messages have been deleted because it is my policy to delete insults, flames, libel, and all-around just plain STUPID messages. I will keep deleting your messages as long as you keep posting them, so you might as well learn your lesson now, save yourself some keystrokes, and leave me alone. Get a life. This is a diary. If you don't like what I say, go away. I'm not asking you to read it. I'm not bothering anyone, I'm not doing anything unethical like stealing layouts and pretending I made them; I'm just writing about my life and my thoughts. Quoting my favorite TV show is not a crime. Misspelling words occasionally is not a crime. So if you have a problem with me and my diary, I don't really care. I'm not doing anything wrong. YOU are the one with a "false sense of morality." If you don't like what I say, go away. Repeat that to yourself every time you feel like leaving me another harassing note.
from astera :
i know exactly how you feel :( why can't we all just write, and not bother with this official business???
from mangofarmer :
Yay!!!! My favorite quote!!!! Great minds think alike I suppose. They know that everyone else is stupid. :-D
from whinybutt :
grr and gah to people!! :-/
from frack27nc :
Hey! I have feelings too! :o( Granted I do deserve the bitching that I got. I have learned my lesson the hard way. I hope Laura will one day forgive my stupidity! You run an awesome site!
from veryberry :
Well, on the one hand you could feel flattered that someone liked your designs THAT much...But I think I'd rather just have a Note telling me so. :P I hate people sometimes! Brainless twits!
from elvensea :
Grr...now when I want to talk to people the dumb internet won't let me on my own account and I have to use my mom's!! XP
from elvensea :
Oh yes, well, you see *furrows brow*...Emily actually IS a bowler...and Jeremy could do the Blue Raja accent really well, but we have a kinda feminine (sounds wrong!) guy at our church who would be perfect. So...Jeremy might be Mr. Furious anyway, it just depends on whether we can convince Ty to be a disco boy. :)
from kangaroopoo :
Yay for PHP form thingamyjigs! (There's probably a better name for them out there, but I doubt it!) Woo!
from elvensea :
^_^ Lovely note, thank you. And, I am not sure why you cackle everytime you try to bribe people with scarves. Perhaps you plant deadly odors inside the yarn fibers? Heh...*twitches*
from elvensea :
Harry Potter the movie, eh? Harry Potter the movie and Pheonix...no, no, Harry Potter the movie and Phoenix and November. Why does Phoenix and November ring a bell for me? *wanders away mumbling*
from elvensea :
Woohoo! Someone else who sleeps past noon! I feel so...well, not really better about it, but anyway...We ought to start an association for that, a self-help program. Maybe it could be moving to the U.K. ?? Hehe, I think your plan sounds excellent. Viva la Ice Cream!
from jenji :
Here's a (very very clumsy) translation of that song from Sunday, Sept. 29, 2002. You were right, seemed to be in German! If i must, i must To the Stadtele outside Stadtele outside And you, mine schat, remain here? If i must, i must To the Stadtele outside Stadtele outside And you, mine schat, remain here? There's no strings upon this love of mine It was always you from the start Am I good Am I good Am I as real as you are As you really are
from elvensea :
You finished your book! (Again, right? I mean, you've read it before?) And you *must* tell me where you get all these excellent quizzes. :)
from runic-rhymes :
It's German--it's, what do you call it, colloquial maybe? Kinda like saying fridge for refrigerator, except they don't do it everywhere in Germany, just some places. So...well, I can't think of any good English examples, but you know.
from elvensea :
OOH! I too would like to be a costume designer for movies...or a makeup artist--(that would have double benefits because then I wouldnt be hideous!) ^_^ P.S. I don't really think I'm hideous, just ugly.
from elvensea :
This is for the caption game: Girl: "And then he said, 'The British are coming, the British..." Mr. President: *thinks* She speaks English better than me...I can't even READ it!
from runic-rhymes :
Someday I think me and astera will have to come visit you, or vice versa. I'm all about dressing up. And how upsetting is it that country dances are no longer a part of culture? I mean, how cool would it be to just have legitimate dance-dances, with costume dresses etc., as a usual weekend entertainment? ::sighs:: I wasn't made for twentyfirst century living.
from elvensea :
Maybe you could be a pep-talker? You're always so enthusiastic...perhaps you could like, be a cheerleader, but then again, thats totally not you. Heh.
from toptens :
Thank you for leaving your topten! :) I love kids TV Shows too. I watched He-Man quite recently, it's amazing how it all comes back to you. I'm in love with this site but it's probably a bit British for you! http://www.80snostalgia.com xxx
from runic-rhymes :
When I was five, and my mother was pregnant with my little sister, she asked me what I thought would be a good name for the baby. I said She-Ra Maria. ::cackles:: I am SO a product of my childhood. And ooh, Jem, and My Little Ponies....good wholesome 80s TV.
from phoenixchild :
I should name my keyboard, huh? My computer is named Snicket, now, because I cleaned the monitor with lemon Windex and Nikkers decided the adjective to describe it was "Lemony". But what should I name my keyboard?
from runic-rhymes :
If you really want to work on your vocal range, do it like you would exercise/do stretches--sing a little higher and a little lower each day. That's what I had to do after I got strep....fortunately back then my mom was paying one of her teacher-friends to give me voice lessons, so there was someone to tell me so!
from laura-baura :
It's nice to know someone as obsessed with a musical as me! ;) I've never seen Beauty and The Beast on stage but I *love* the movie! For some reason I thought this would be interesting to you...! ;)
from runic-rhymes :
(makes some joyous and squeaky noises) They're making it a movie?!? Woooooo!!! (is very excited and does some serious victory/happy dancing)
from elvensea :
Did you know they are making Ella Enchanted into a movie with Anne Hathaway--from The Princess Diaries?? Anywho, thought you might like to know. I read a book of hers just a couple days ago...:)
from phoenixchild :
Hey. (coughcough) How's the book Emma so far? Cause, I might have been thinking about reading it.
from mangofarmer :
You're awesome, you know that? :) And people that don't dress up to go to the theatre are dorks. Serious dorks. I love "Beauty and the Beast" but I wish they would do a stage version of "The Little Mermaid". It could work... maybe at Sea World? Oh nevermind. You rule. :)
from elvensea :
Hey, I was thinking about the princes you could use for a Disney Princes quiz...(Hope girls can take it too!)...Anywho--I actually thought of a few. Hopefully enough for quiz material. Well, here they are!: Prince Philip from "Sleeping Beauty" Prince Charming...he says a little in that movie Prince John from Robin Hood! Fun...;) Beast (does he have a real name?) Alladin (he was KINDA a prince) Prince Eric from Little Mermaid the guy from Mulan just cause he's cool and Simba? You don't really need another one but he WAS a prince...kinda furry though.. Anywho--those are who I thought of. Hope it inspires you or something...I also hope no one rips it off from your notes!
from runic-rhymes :
Yup, Wentworth is from Persuasion. I didn't really like it at first but it turned out quite good :). I dunno about Cassandra though....other than, as you say, her sister...
from runic-rhymes :
Just thought you should know....why, I can't remember.... :)
from runic-rhymes :
Jimmy Fallon's CD is comedy (musical comedy), but he is also a musician....he came to my school last year and played a few of the songs and did some stand-up! I was indifferent to him on SNL but he's really funny live.
from an6elo :
Birthday wishes to a great girl!
from runic-rhymes :
Happy birthday!!!!!! ::wishes wonderful gifts and much cake and ice cream upon you::
from laura-baura :
Just catching up on your diary cos I've not been online and I wanted to tell you that by coincidence I'd gone to your site after you'd added the guestbook and I was the first person to sign but it hasn't shown up! :(
from elvensea :
If you simply are not enjoying Tolkien, then maybe you should give it a break (a long one) and when you live in Minnesota again and are feeling reminiscent, you can read them again and bring back memories of your younger years...that is, unless you find that they still bore you, which is really a shame. :/ Oh well, anyway, your new layout is awesome! I'm not sure what the buffalo is doing but it has a nice, American feel to it. :)
from runic-rhymes :
I know it's hard, but I'd really recommend that you stick with LOTR. I just finished it last night, and I feel like I have joined some sort of elite club! And even though I skipped a lot of descriptive paragraphs, there were parts where I cheered! That's just my two cents. Oh yes, and you probably are not getting any guestbook entries because your guestbook is broken....when I tried it it came up with some NotifyList error page :(.
from elvensea :
I am so frustrated, I need your help! O_O I cannot figure out how to get my diaryring things to show up!...By the way, Hello, I know you must think I abandoned the whole diary idea, but I haven't. :)
from melanie15 :
Have you ever read any of Elizabeth Bergs books? you seem to like the same style o books that she writes, and she is just amazing. give t a try. you will love her. Melanie15
from runic-rhymes :
Yay yay! Good luck with your job, can you send a bit of those employment-procuring positive vibes my way? Anyway, yay for you, because now you can earn money and fun stuff like that.
from astera :
hoorah hoorah! now you are gainfully employed! now you can start whining and loathing life like the rest of us! *grins* no, you might like your job. i stress the 'might.' :)
from veryberry :
BOOYA!!!!! *smush* Congratulations, Lola!! I just knew you'd get the job! :oD
from phoenixchild :
I don't know about Mostly Harmless... As of late it's just Nikkers and I.
from phoenixchild :
I LOVE YOU!!! Not in a lesbian way, but you know. I don't mean to be an assface but the link to the main page in the phoebe-fans (!!!!!!) ring needs an S, or something, I think, because it doesn't work. Did I say I love you?
from phoenixchild :
!!!!!!!!!
from mangofarmer :
Oooh, I've been down that "no job" road before. At least you're looking; I have friends that can't even do that much. Grocery stores are... fun.... :P Thanks for the note, and good luck!
from ravenheart :
Thank you for joining my Nightheart ring, you are welcome!
from guineahusky :
Hi, I'm the owner of the Hermione ring. I checked the link on my diary and a couple others and it seemed to be working ok. It's not supposed to be a table. It should just say "Her-My-Oh-Nee." Hope that helps, but if not let me know and I'll see what I can do.
from runic-rhymes :
Ha! Your birthday is five days after mine! How cool are you?
from veryberry :
I hope you get that page job! Who knows, maybe that'll be your 'toe in the door', so that once you graduate with your degree, you'll be able to get a better job at the same library! :) As far as your mom hounding you to get a job sooner...well, just keep applying to places, and if they don't respond, she can't do anything about that, right? :P I think grocery stores would hire you right away, though, because they're always looking for people...though in summer they might not be as desperate, since they've got all the summer teens working...Anyway, I'll keep my fingers crossed that you won't have to work at a SAFEWAY or something, LoL! ;) *hugs*
from laura-baura :
The layout's gorgeous! Did you try saving the images as .gifs? Sometimes they're much clearer! :)
from an6elo :
I love the new belle layout!
from leiascully :
*blushes* I'm a Diaryland celebrity? Thank you so much! And best of luck. I think this is going to be a great contest/challenge.
from janette :
WOW!! Laneybug!! Woo!! *shakes pompoms in Lola's colours* (whatever colours they are) And don't stress about your writing - just relax, enjoy the compliment, enjoy having recognition and motivation for your writing, and if you end up scoring less than everyone else - well, you only come last out of a VERY select group, you still came out better than the rest of dland who WEREN'T picked at all!!
from veryberry :
Congrats, Lola dear! *beams* You'll do great! Just stop thinking negatively, because if you were picked to do this, then that obviously means you're good enough to win!! :)
from laura-baura :
Forgot to say! - you can't treat ME although you can treat various symptoms eg. sleep pattern, pain, etc. And some people find things like acupuncture or homeopathy help. Oh and I can't believe someone was horrible about you in their diary - you rock!
from laura-baura :
Depression *is* a symptom of ME although some people keep it quiet as often dumbass doctors think that you're just depressed and it's making you feel ill rather than you're ill and it's making you depressed. I hope that made sense cos I have NO brain at all. Feel better soon xxx
from veryberry :
I love the Jeff Corwin show!! *giggles* Yeah, Emily's right in that he's always doing silly stuff (Mom and I both crack up at his antics)...I saw the Australia show, too, hehe! Anyway, just thought I'd share... ;)
from chgiang :
That is so cool that you use to play the trombone and baritone. I also played the baritone and euphonium in high school. One of my best friends was really good on the trombone and he got to play during the Monterey Jazz Festival. I hope you get one of the job you applied for cause I am in the same situation, looking for a part time job.
from astera :
you got to see think of england! did they play 'blood red moon'? they won last year's pantene song writing contest thingy, the one that nisshoku and i were going to enter. that is so awesome that they didn't just disappear into oblivion. at any rate, about mike... what you said was so whimsical... i wish i could live like that but i know i would just regret it later. and if i gave up school for him, which i'd never do, i wouldn't be the person he cares about. *sighs* i've got an iron grip, though, and you can bet i'll be holding on as tight as i can...
from civilwar-guy :
I really like your diary. I would love to live in Arizona. I'm stuck in Ohio (ahhh!). I'm new at this, I'm just trying to talk to some people. Look me up. Bye
from knightsong :
I worked at JoAnn's Fabrics. It was NOT a fun place to be. They didn't half train me, then wanted to jump down my throat when I did something wrong. Most of the mistakes I made were because another employee had told me the wrong way to do things. They really screwed me on hours too. I was lucky if I got 8 hours out of a week! So, if you choose to apply there, I wish you better luck than I had, and hope that your manager is more competant than the woman I worked under.
from astera :
oooo, go see weezer. you haven't really lived until you have. :) i'm not really a big concert person... it's hot, it's loud, you can't see much, you're hungry and you have to pee but you can't leave 'cause you might miss their best song. but for weezer... it was worth it :)
from phoenixchild :
Hey, you listed Mostly Harmless! Power to you!
from kirliecue :
Hey... I work for a music promotions company in Atlanta called Wiley Music. I was wondering if you might be interested in a project we having coming up in Phoenix that you could earn $75 for. If you'd like more information, please email me at [email protected]. Thanks!
from janette :
I agree about giving Rowling a break. She built everything up to such a climax at the end of the last book that I'd be pretty disgusted if she doesn't write the next book well. Even though the fourth book was exciting, I sensed it was just slightly more hurried than the previous ones, and I don't want it to become like RJ - PoD just filled in all the details needed to get to WH, and WH suddenly let all the secrets out unsubtly and in such an anti-climax after waiting so many books for them (although I still enjoyed reading them). At the same time, I don't want her to become like Melanie Rawn, who has taken much longer than three years to finish her Exiles triology (and now I'm not sure that she will). OK, just two more things to say - love the new design! (tho Cinnamon was too cute to be up for so short a time) I haven't signed up for the CR & GF rings coz I forgot, and will do so tomorrow or Friday!
from dear-shae :
If I'm not mistaken, Harry Potter's middle name is "James"
from laura-baura :
Ooh your layout is *gorgeous*!! :)
from babybea :
OooOo! Sounds good! (^^) Now if only I could cook... (x_x) Darnit! Cute dairy! I saw the banner thingy and clickity-CLICK! Here I was! ((lol))
from chesneyfan :
Thanks for joining the HGTV diaryring! I like your diary!
from veryberry :
Heylo! As far as the whole "you don't even know if you like Clarion" comment (or however it went, hehehe)...you're welcome to come over and visit me sometime, and then we could drive out and take a tour! :) Now that I actually know how to get there, it won't take as long, hee hee!!! ;)
from tv-dinners :
yay! you like cake and bree sharp; me too. and amelie and r. tenenbaums. i've always wanted to be a librarian! and i'm using way too many exclamat!on po!nts but that's because I've had a great day and some coffee so i'm hyper.
from astera :
you always have such cute layouts. this one is positively SQUISHY. at any rate, i know how you feel about school. i give myself headaches and stomach aches on a regular basis. and then, just when i think everything is okay, it turns out that it isn't :) but i am going to try and fix up my profile, because you made me realize that i am one of those crazy, obscure people :) good luck with school! i am sure everything will turn out okay.
from honey-blade :
Clicked on your banner - that Baby Cinnamon thing is too damn cute! I love it! :)
from bribaby :
hello~~~ nice to meet you. i'm a gal from H.K. i've been readin' your diary for some days and yesterday u've mentioned that u like H.K artwork which really really makes me excited! okay, that's all for now~~~ CHEERS. =P
from prettytear :
Aahw i just had to click your cute banner =D
from laura-baura :
I dreamt about your website last night!!
from phoenixchild :
Wow, you're right. I DID talk about everything from A to Z. I didn't even spot that. Hey, go you! And me! Maybe my subconscious mind knew? Er... yes, that's it. My subconscious mind. Heheh...
from veryberry :
Of COURSE I'm not mad at you, dear! *SMUSH* I've just been using my laptop, and MSN on here tells me that it's not working every time I try to sign on! :\
from skarekrow :
You're banner caught my attention, just stopping by.
from runic-rhymes :
(this is nisshoku, i'm on my other account) I made you a present..... or rather, i CAPTURED you a present.... members.tripod.co.uk/jesussandal/psianina.gif Found it when I was gettin' ready to put up my own banner! :)
from vixenated :
That's weird how you had that thing about couples who live together before marriage having higher seperation stats, because I always thought it was weird that my parents hardly living together at all before married, it was only for like 2 months. I am always like "see if you lived together first you would have found this out" to them, just jokingly, but maybe that's why they're still together. They've been married for like 20 years or something. I don't know why I'm telling you this either lol. Sorry.
from icequeen17 :
Awesome awesome awesome diary. I love the layout. Star Wars is just such classic material. I love it. I also read you liked Pride and Prejudice... that is such an awesome book. Well toodles.
from ivy-says :
Hi! I found your diary because by searching for chococat on google, how weird is that? You mentioned looking for a job as a library assistant... do you go to library school? I do! YAY!
from moonwindsong :
I just saw your banner and had to go read your diary. I know how you feel about trying to be normal because I am not. I sleep in the day and am up all night. I don't work because I am disabled, but I have always be a night person. I loved your diary and will visit again.
from astera :
we'll have a diaryland authors' secret club! it'll be awesome! and i haven't seen your banner yet, but i promise i'd click on it even though i already come to your page... at any rate, have you seen the a&e 'Pride and Prejudice' or read the book for that matter? excellent, both. colin firth, mmm....
from tattodnanny :
I love your banner, and your princess leia pictures! The force is strong with you.
from janette :
Northanger Abbey is my equal-favourite with Emma! I like Emma because the characters are more complex and interesting, because Emma herself is a brilliantly-written character and there's something about the story which I think makes it her best. Northanger Abbey, however, is by fair the easiest and most immediately entertaining of her books to read. It's also clever in its portrayal of Isabella and her brother and the parallels between those old horror-romance novels.
from laura-baura :
Ooh, come to Glasgow! It rocks! ;)
from veryberry :
Turning 18 was totally uneventful for me, too...I sorta felt like, "Yay, how fun." Hehe...
from janette :
1) Your house plan looks awesome!!!!! 2) So many people seem to rave over stories I found so boring I didn't even get to the stage of feeling sleepy before I put them down - I think maybe you should get your boring stories published! *giggles* 3) I haven't really met any guys I've got close to in even a friendship way ever...but I think it is a best friend thing. I think you can be best friends with more than one person. In fact, I don't think your entire social and emotional needs can be met by one person, I think you ALWAYS need a range of people in your life to compliment different interests and different parts of your personality. So you could have an Ethel and a (sitcom not real life) Ricky as best friends, I think. :)
from veryberry :
Miss yoooou, Lola! *hugs*
from calynda :
wow . . . you've got lots and lots of entries . . . *smiles* . . . anyway . . . I just wanted to say thanks for filling out my survey
from veryberry :
You are absolutely right! If you truly want something, GO for it!!! Admittedly, it's a little hard when you're still living at home and have to follow your parents' rules (you know I can commisserate here, since I still live at home, hehe), but they should respect your wants instead of just treating you as if you were joking! *nods firmly in punctuation* I believe in ya, Lola! ;) *huggles*
from nisshoku :
I love your new/old layout! The ones I've seen so far are some really great Leia pictures, and of course you have to say "aawwww" when the one of her and Han kissing comes up :).
from astera :
i think abigail (faithnomore) probably meant really-into-the-music fans as opposed to TRUE music fans. like, people who really dig all kinds of music and it's a big part of their lives. i think the description as 'real' or 'true' is a bit misleading. i did really like your analogy with the broccoli though :)
from janette :
I know what I was going to say! I loved An Ideal Husband too! Minnie Driver's character, Mabel, has a monologue which I did for my final Theatre Studies performance exam and got an A+ for, although in the movie they break it up and scatter it throughout the movie. I also loved The Importance of Being Ernest - in fact, I liked it better than An Ideal Husband, because it's sillier. I have the complete works of Oscar Wilde and I like those two the best. Of course, I also love Jane Austen, so I really wish you'd read Emma! She's my favourite Jane Austen character (tho, of course, Lizzie in Pride and Prejudice is heaps of fun). Oh, and I don't know if Georgette Heyer is popular in the US, but you really should try her - she's one of the few authors who actually make me laugh out loud! Anyway, I could recommend to my heart's content, you don't have to read anything unless you want to, because I hate it when people urge me to read things I just don't feel like reading.
from janette :
Bother, I forgot what I was going to say!
from astera :
i totally hit 'enter' and didn't want to :( i was going to say that it is funny if you've seen the movie, and for jane austen is rather light-hearted. i thought p&p was hard to read, if good. and i got the harry potter dvd too! i am so excited!
from astera :
you should definitely try reading emma
from elvensea :
oops, I forgot, I was also wanting one of those things where you pick your mood, etc *looks down* I write too much sometimes...
from elvensea :
So--I really didn't want to bother you while you were down, sorry, but I just wanted to take you up on your offer. :D Anyway, all I want it to be is celtic (maybe with Ireland or Scotland in the background *shrugs*) and with greens. I don't care if you put it off, or don't do it at all, I just figured that I shouldn't keep you waiting too long. Hope you feel better! P.S...Have you ever read The Golden Compass by Philip Pullman? My friends say the name reminds them of "I've got a golden ticket.."but, anyway...*semismile*
from elvensea :
Heylo--sorry you weren't feeling well (emotionally) yesterday, I was wondering why you hadn't updated. That was me on Sunday. Anyway, I just wanted to say hello to ya and tell you I missed reading your entries yesterday. Tootles :)
from elvensea :
know what? Superman by Five For Fighting is one of the Best songs ever! I'm glad you decided to download it!
from elise273 :
Hello, you have a very nice Diary, but it is a bit difficult for me. My English isn't very good, I'm Dutch. What I understand is this: you wanted the cd from Alanis Morissette! Do you have him already? What is you opinion about it? I have the cd since a week and I like it. Especially Narcicus and Flinch. I've Jagged Little Pill and Supposed Former Infatiation Junkie too. Do you have them? Do you want to go to my Diary? You can't leave notes, but I have a guestbook. Please write there! Bye, Elise
from astera :
i salute thee, worthy denizen :)
from elvensea :
I do seem to send these little notes to you quite often, but then, you are the only diary I have really read so far. Anyway, thank you for the offer of a template...I would like to accept but need a little while to think over what I would like it to look like. Me and my indecisiveness...^_~
from elvensea :
Your nickname reminds me of that song..."Whatever Lola wants, Lola gets..." ^_^
from elvensea :
Thanks for the recommendation in your Minnesota entry :D...that made me smile. I think you may go to the same college my brother in-law went to--he married my sister who I never get to see anymore b/c they haven't moved back yet. Anyway--what part of Minnesota did you live in? I have relatives over there. Oh, and I was also wondering what your name means. See ya!
from elvensea :
Hey! You're lots of fun to read...have you ever read Tolkien's books? I bet you'd like them.
from janette :
Miiiaaaoooowww! =D Ver' cute, an' I likes the header.
from laura-baura :
Ooh I like the new layout! :)
from janette :
I liked the oceany one the best! It somehow seemed the most you and the most in keeping with your style and what you're about (hehe I don't mean to say you complain all the time, I just think that it's the kind of thing you'd say). I also liked the Meg one, tho, very nifty! The cactus one I didn't like a whole lot and the Moulin Rouge one was nifty-looking but...to me...didn't seem to capture the spirit of your diary somehow...
from nisshoku :
"He loves me, he loves me not" in French: Il m'aime, il ne m'aime pas. "Amber's Little Place" is best translated as "Chez Amber" but if you want a completely literal translation "Le Petit Endroit d'Amber." Have fun with the gold account!
from laura-baura :
You're the only person I know who writes their code in notepad apart from me and my best friend! You should download Edit PadLite (http://www.editpadpro.com/editpadlite.html) it's like notepad but has features like search and replace which is useful. :)
from inisfree :
hey hun! if you're still using icq let me know - I appear to be able to use it on my laptop now (quite typical since I now only have 2 weeks free access left and have to study for most of that period!). ~Neasa xx
from veryberry :
Lola! Should we get tickets reserved for Episode II?? I'm so EXCITED to see it!!!
from astera :
my email should be working. i've been gone off of aol for some time, but am back now. as for all that love business, it's just really depressing. i thought i was in love, but now i know i wasn't. and i know i don't want what i had, but i just can't imagine that i'll ever have what i want :) boys are just so dumb, and not at all like they are in books! like they SHOULD be!
from nisshoku :
Me once again. Geez, you were a cute kid! I like your new layout, it feels more personal than the purple one. And I adore your glasses, they are the coolest!
from nisshoku :
Ack! I totally know what you mean about the Incomplete and all that fun stuff, I've got a similar problem....and I better as heck get to work doing the study hours for this quarter before I run out of time!
from phoenixchild :
And thank YOU for the note! You know, I admire this Ana you spoke of in your entry... not only because of her many good qualities, such as having an Episode 2 countdown, but also being able to figure out how to work deadjournal. It's quite the impossible thing. Anyway, my point of coming here was to mention that I thought it was awfully strange that shortly after I left that note I discovered that you, too, live in Arizona. But I'm on the U of A side, so naturally I dislike ASU.
from phoenixchild :
It is quite possible that I love you. No, not like THAT. But I mean, "I've fallen in love with your diary" when I say it. I'd rather have been Carrie Fisher, myself. Leia was always cooler than Amidala... but then, Ewan McGregor is almost equivalent to God, and being either one of them would be nice. Because it's Star Wars. STAR WARS!!! I'd KILL to be in Star Wars! I am a Star Wars addict, I don't know if you'd figured that out yet. I'm also addicted to several other things. But anyway, the point is, I thought I'd come here to tell you that I am now in love with your diary.
from astera :
no matter what hour i do my layout, somebody always manages to see it before it is totally done :) but thankyou, i love that song too. and if rivers is tolerably moody, i think i will marry him. i want to be an actress too. especially if i can be as gorgeous as natalie portman. have you seen many of her costumes from the new star wars? they are just absolutely to die for. *sighs*
from janette :
Alright...I ate the chocolate...*giggles* But I've kept the wrappers so I still know what US money looks like! See, coins AND chocolate, you can't go wrong...
from janette :
I am loved!! ^_^ *smushes* The only problem is that I don't want to eat the chocolate coz I want to keep the coins intact!! We have the queen's head on one side and an australian animal on the other side (so it's really like heads or tails...), except for the $2 coin which has an Australian Aboriginal head on the other side. We have 5c, 10c, 20c, 50c, $1 and $2 coins. We used to have 1c and 2c pieces but they were phased out about ten years ago. I still have a couple lying around somewhere, though (probably in my coin album).
from janette :
You got marked for handwriting at school?!? Wow. We had handwriting practice from grade prep to grade 4 of primary school (so the first 5 out of 7 years) but we never actually got it marked, simply corrected. My handwriting was pretty average til about year 9 (in secondary college) so I think I'd've struggled to get good marks
from janette :
You were talking about taking Humanities and I did this thing I do all the time - glance at a word and think it says something else. I was quite shocked to read you'd be taking Hermatage...
from inisfree :
Erg, sorry! I voted for Eric Idle twice. :o/ My apologies - he's now tying unfairly with John! But sure he's the best anyway, deserves to win so he does! ~Neas xx
from veryberry :
*blinks innocently* Me? Have my mind in the gutter? *falls over giggling* Lolaaaaa, I feel so dirty now! Hehehehe... ;) At ANY rate, congratulations on your diary anniversary! :D
from ladymayhem :
Hi Laura. You probably do not remember me but I was a member of FT. :) I stumbled upon your diary by chance, wasn't sure if you were who I thought you were, and got it confirmed by Myssa. Glad to "see" you again. I'll be dropping by and look forward to continue reading your diary. Niquae
from janette :
I think you should set up your sitemeter, but only check it when you feel curious about who is visiting. I check mine about once every six weeks or so, because mostly the same people visit my site, or they visit for 1 second - long enough to decide it's not what they're looking for - and that can depress me and also make me too focused on my audience and my diarying suffers when I do that. Instead I just check it now and then when I'm curious about the referrals. :)
from laura-baura :
Ooh and if you ever want to email me please do! My address is on my site xxx
from laura-baura :
Hi! I'm the girl who runs the website you linked to, I found you in my sitemeter! First off I *love* your layout! :) I've often heard people say they've been on 90% ability for years. I think it is worth checking out, there's lots of sites I link to that could give you useful information to show your doctor. There is no specific test for ME they basically just check you've been suffering the symptoms for over six months and rule everything else out! Also, you often encounter doctors that don't believe in it but it *is* real, if one's no use, try a different doctor! Good luck and feel better soon! xxx
from lucky657 :
I love your diary, lola! You are very interesting and inspiring. Check mine out sometime when and if you get the opportunity. Much love, Blair
from mskaos :
found you from the Disney princess quiz....and then say u had a diaryland diary. Whee!:D EVER AFTER!! pretty. Enya is good, too:D
from janette :
a) You are interesting.
b) If you don't feel interesting to others it's totally to do with the other people. When I went to ex-work's Christmas party last year, I felt like a social loser. Now, I have lots of good friends from choir, uni, the net, high school and other places that I still see and have fun with, but I had nothing to say to any of these people and none of them were really interested and I felt boring and like a loner. So it's the people who are around you - they're not the right people. If you were truly boring, you'd have no friends anywhere hehe...or perhaps you'd be the kind of friend who has lots of interesting friends because they need someone who listens to them but has no stories to bore them with! hehe...
from janette :
I don't know what the deal is with Jeremy Irons doing stupid movies, but he recently did a very good BBC short drama...what was it called...the timekeeper...no, I think it was Longitude. So the quality's still there - just not in Hollywood.
from angel-sin :
Oh, Lola-sama~! I got penguin on that too ^_^ *waddles and hops*
from veryberry :
Oh, so that IS you in the daydreamings.com picture? I wondered, but you weren't online at the time so I forgot to ask! :oP Your dad's a good photographer...the beach pic looks like something you'd see on an inspirational card. ;) You can tell him I think he's ber-talented, hehe! *grins*
from astera :
join the club about uninspiration. my problem is i get crazy inspired about one thing and write twenty pages and then get bored and stop because i've thought of something different. and even when you finish something, the satisfaction doesn't last. now i feel like my best work is my worst... who said being a writer was easy? :) we should create a support group for starving authors:)
from veryberry :
Yay! That's my banner! *giggles* Since I'll probably never actually see it at the top of the screen, now I can pretend I have. ;) *hugs*
from bafl :
i wanted to email you cause i dont think this is the kind of thing you leave notes about . but i have to say there isnt a law about keeping animals in a public place as long as its not food service .. so like animals would be fine as long as its taken care of ..and has a definable home ... but most librarys public city owned dont allow it ... its not sanitary i could bother some customers and there are usualy to many employees one is bound to be against it . personaly i have a cat .. i love them ... and your probably wondering who i am .. im just someone who reads your diaryland and takes some tests ... i want to thank you for writing so often ... and being a happy spot ... you are a wonderfully interesting person the degree your after is ammirable and your interests are some of my own .. so please keep writing
from janette :
Mmmm Cadbury Crunchie. I like 'em better than Violet Crumbles...Crunchies are honeycomb covered in cadbury chocolate mm mm yoomeh! I should send you one!
from nisshoku :
Ooh, don't write off Indian food for good. I'm not a fan of curry too much either but if you ever get a chance try anything that ends with "Korma." That's this great spicy coconut sauce, it's weird but delicious. When astera comes over me 'n' her walk over to the Indian restaurant near my dorm and stuff ourselves silly :).
from janette :
Aaargh! I hate having something really good to say and not being able to remember it! *screams silently*
from janette :
Awww Lola! I wanna be in a club with you n Berry! We could meet once a week and alternate between having a night in and hiring a video and having a night out and seeing a movie - then we'd get to see lots of new and old movies and we'd go to yummy restaurants and cook and just do stuff! I was going to say something else...
from angel-sin :
Lola-sama! I adore the new layout *snugs* Cutie kitty, yesh yesh. =^.^= You should move to Cali... Yitty wouldn't mind seeing LoTR one or three more times... ^_~
from astera :
ooo, please don't lock your diary! you're funny! how will i read it if you lock it? :)
from nisshoku :
Hey! :) Too bad you're not in Ohio, me 'n' astera would take you to see LOTR again (we've seen it four times, lol). Did you check out the other answers on that 'which LOTR man is for you' quiz? They're hysterical! Anyway have fun with your new game...
from janette :
You know what the solution will be...pets. Lots and lots of pets. You can have hamsters named Harry and Sabrina (I spelled it Zabrina by accident). You can have cats named Emily and Elizabeth and Charlotte etc. ;)
from janette :
wow freaky Lane! Dad just gave me the url for the CIA Factbook that he got from a friend on Monday! ~~~~~
from astera :
try waffle house... have a waffle and some of their orgasm pie. i don't know what the pie is really called.... it just has lots of chocolate:) your diary is adorable:)
from janette :
I soooo know what you mean about the sundae+fries thing!!! --- As for my ideal wedding, I've never really thought about it that much. I don't like to plan out things like that really when I know I'll feel differently and I may not have the money and my partner might have different requirments and I might never get married anyway! But I'd like something small, possibly non-church. I don't want to really go overboard with the weddingwedding kind of things, but I'd want everything special and very classy and elegant. No big merangue dress! Urgh! My cousin had this GORGEOUS string quintet playing at their wedding - they even played Beatles stuff! It was just perfect, and I'd like that.
from ravenheart :
Nice thing you have here.
from veryberry :
*sniffles* Everybody LOOOOOOOVES you, Lola! I'm so jealous!! Hehehe! ;) Anyhoo, just felt like writing a note to you! Oo, I feel like I'm in high school again... *giggles and tromps off*
from astera :
i love ella enchanted, too! cinderella finally made sense. it's weird, too, cause one of my friends also wanted to write a new version of rapunzel. how odd. but rock on for you! your diary is adorable!
from piscesgirlie :
wow. i love your layout so much. wish i could be as creative and cute as you. keep up the good work. =) you rock.
from guthrie :
Ahh, such is life--seeing as if you were independantly wealthy you'd probably be able to skip the $400 ticket and buy the higher-priced airline ticket. Good ole bloody exhaust-grease London. Cheers.
from candytw1st :
omg! i absolutely love the ppg and this pic is so amazingly cute! i love the whole thing! kudos
from quinndolyn :
That is the coolest wintry Powerpuff Girl thing I've ever seen in my whole life!! You rock! Also, your notify list suggestion was very good indeed, and so I think I will do that. :)
from blackdove9 :
*Very* cool diary. I love the layout, I wish I had enough time to do that kind of stuff (saying that I don't have enough time is just a cover up for the fact that I couldn't do that even if I *did* have the time)I have found saying you don't have time makes people think you might be really busy with important things. But really I am sitting in front of the comp at 8pm still in my pajamas after not having done a single thing all day long. Anyway, you rock, your journal is cool and funny, and I know it feels to be bored when you live in Phoenix. =) *giggles*
from pleasureable :
Great layout. It's so pretty. =o)
from quinndolyn :
Wow. What a great layout! I so want to see Harry Potter, but I just haven't actually summoned the ambition to do so. So far most people like it, which bodes well. :)

Oh, and I adore Rufus Wainwright.

from janette :
Wheeee! (not verbatim - )"It is a commonly known fact that any single man in possession of a large fortune must be in want of a wife". Hehe I love Pride and Prejudice! Emma just returned it to me and is now reading BJ's Diary wheee!
from janette :
Ho, so I'm living under a ROCK am I! Well, all I can say is BLAH to you!! *giggles & smushes* Just think of the wonderful degree you'll have when you finish this course! AND how wonderful you'll be at Spanish, so Sth America & Europe here you come! wheeee!
from veryberry :
Aww, that's so mean, not being able to have more archive pages! :( I feel for ya, Lola!!! *hugs*
from inisfree :
Aloha! I took your advice and have started a journal again, though we'll see how long it lasts! By the way, that little Ewan doll is *adorable* - I'm thinking of printing it out and putting it in my wallet. ;o) Sln! -Neas
from ventiduct :
lowly <-- that is the last thing i copied. I like your diary and stuff.
from breathless- :
Hey! Lovin' your diary, keep it up. :) I like how you express yourself. Awesome. Great layout too. Anyways, drop me a note sometime and check out my diary. I'd appreciate it!
from allye :
Hey there. Your dog is SOOO cute! Thought I would pop in and say hello. Like the autumn background :) Come by and see me sometime- http://allye.diaryland.com, take care!
from mymichele :
Are you aware of how much your diary rocks my ass? Well, you should be. I love your layout. And good luck with your puppy dog. I have a cocker spaniel type of thing (he's a mix, really) and I love him to death.
from veryberry :
Aww, the autumn scheme is so PRETTY!!! I'm so jealous of your mad talent, Lola! ;)
from vitality :
your diary is absolutely gorgeous.
from janette :
I liiiiikes autumnal! But I still miss Dada...
from spazzed :
what a gorgeous layout. Im so pissed my stupid website is not working right now therefore my layout sucks. :( But yes, i likes it.
from janette :
Lola! It's okay to write notes in. In fact, I colour code all the notes! Colour/circle all the E's in purple, all the B's in green etc. It really helps you learn to recognise them! *huggles* I miss ya! I'm so glad ye've got this diareh. (btw this isn't my secret username, this is my unused username!)
from psianina :
