I'm on drugs so that last post may not have made sense. I bought a year of diaryland when I should have just bought a bunch of banners to run so that when I wrote about rawschool.com, I was hoping people would click on the link and check nora's site out. I'm not friends with her or anything, it was just something I did because I know she's trying to make a living out of the raw thing. ANYHOO. I wasn't planning on leaving but increasingly it's taking quite a number of minutes trying to get ANYWHERE on diaryland and it makes me not want to write. And I got the code to redirect to my blogger site, so off I went. I hope people don't drop me just because I enjoy reading everyone when I can. I just have to see what to do about the archives.
from bettyalready :
DO NOT FEEL LOCKED IN! You don't have to stay! I only did it because I missed your happy face in your profile, but do not stay if you can update somewhere else. I paid for a year of diaryland, I think..I did it though to write about rawschool and then run banners and THEN have people hopefully click on the rawschool links...traffic for Nora. I didn't think I'd want to leave diaryland, I just don't understand why Andrew thinks that one person can run the site. It's gotten a little rude, in my opinion. I can see him being overwhelmed but just not answering is very questionable, in my opinion. I know he's not a bad guy, etc. So don't feel like you're STUCK. If you want to move, MOVE. BE FREE! FREE TERRI! FREE TERRI!

Oh my goodness! Last night I had a dream that I gave birth to this baby girl. It was nuts. I think it's all because I've been reading your diary:)

I so VERY much appreciate your comments on my latest entry. I am so glad that there are people out there who agree with the truths of abortion. And BTW, I am reading and excited to hear all about your new baby! Good luck! -Beht

I hope your u/s shows that it is his butt & not head! Can you avoid anesthesia in favor of an epi? Also, my first was an emergency C & you're right, they make that decision & the room sort of spins. I know he loves me :) His insecurity makes me a little insecure at times. Like when he thought I took off last weekend. I just worry about him changing his mind. I've never been so sure of anything. That dream really bothered me in a way I hadn't thought of before. Losing him would be absolute misery.

I just finished Kelley Armstrong's first two books and I loved them! Thanks for telling me about her. ;)
from kellbelle :
Thanks for your sweet note. Most of the time my self talk is good. I have to admit I'm starting to freak about the wedding. Everyone keeps aksing me if I have cold feet and it really hurts my feelings. No I do not have cold feet. I take this very seriously and I don't want to screw up another marriage another relationship, another human. I've been alone 6 years. It's scary to think of getting married again. I would worry about someone who wasn't scared.
from kellbelle :
Hehe tell her it's not loooooooong enough!! LOL I still have so much to do. Yes, I have a banner that spritopias designed for me. I'll email them to you as I think I've used up all my hits :)
from untamedwings :
Oh gosh. I really have great empathy for your friend. Nothing worse than having a trashed hubby & a baby living under the same roof. There is little you can do to help her. This was my situation with John last year. Until SHE decides to do something drastic to alter HIS living situation, it'll continue. He won't get himself together unless forced & even then he has to have an epiphany & WANT to change things. Hugs.
from kellbelle :
I love your comments. You always make me smile and tear up at the same time :) My cranial sacral was fingers (very strong fingers) just under the back of my skull. They use pressure points where the muscles and nerves connect to your neck/skull. It hurt like a sumbiatch but I felt good after. My massage therapist does it every other time I get a massage. I don't get a massage very often, but she always remembers :)
from kellbelle :
Ahh you did the right thing. Kids don't understand stuff we'd really like to have them understand. They're going to hurt you. It's part of being a parent. It's hard not to take it personally... and to not feel bad as you slowly get cut out of the picture, but it happens. All you can do is be vigilant, let them know you're there but let them be themselves. Kids are really selfish. I'm sorry that you're hurting about it :( Hugs
from untamedwings :
It's Tania...did you get the PW?
from requiel :
Thanks for the note, I don't think I have heard your theory about LKH. I'd love to hear it. I don't think I could read another book if it's worse than the last one. Can it get much worse? I have read Charlaine Harris' books but not Kelly Armstrong. I will have to check them out.

You know, I didn't mean to idict all homeschoolers. And my hat is off to you for doing that. Actually, from what I have seen through the years, they often are better educated, and that is the bottom line really. One guestbook, coming up! Glad you like the layout, as well as your new OB. I hear you when you say *tummy flab.* No amount of exercise can undo what several pregnancies create. I'm seriously thinking about having all of mine sliced off, but I struggle with vanity/cost issues. Until I try stuffing it all in a pair of jeans and I think, "Heck yes! After seven babies, I deserve it. Someone's just gonna have to go without braces. :)

Oh those nagging questions that breed either disbelief or more hurt. How many times I have asked things like, "Is there anything in our house from her?...When you brought her HERE to eat were you sitting in the same spot?...The list is endless or it certainly could be! Hugs.
from breathtaken1 :
Yeah, I think it is pretty clear that he was never a Kerry supporter so much as he was anti-Bush.
from pashiesplace :
Oh honey hugs. I have been there & I know how it feels like everything just crashes down around you all over again. The best advice that I can give is to hash it out. Don't hold it in, let him have it. Get it OUT of your system & out of your body. You went looking but his past behavior is what caused there to be things to find. Don't blame yourself!
from kellbelle :
I love it when people leave nasty comments and you go to read what they think in their diary and it's locked. I just love how people think that if Kerry had been elected that there wouldn't have been as big a celebration as if Bush had won. Get real. Anywho, thanks for the birthday wishes :) I miss chatting with you on Yahoo.

Easy for you to say coming from a pampered American suburbanite who's probably never known a day of real suffering in her life. I'm sorry if those of us complaining about American miserliness are upsetting your bullshit pseudo-utopian existence. But hey, screw the rest of the world. We don't need those freaks anyway. The inaugural ball will be an exercise in narcissism and pomposity like never before considering the state of the world today. But you and the rest of America can go on thinking everything's fine as long as you can still go to church and watch football on Sundays.
from pashiesplace :
That entry just scared me, LOL. We're too much alike, from the book you're reading to the VH1 fetish. Hugs.
from requiel :
When are you due???
from lolamae :
Wow, I feel really bad for your Dr.L.If you like romance, try Clare Naylor. It's kind of a Bridget Jones meets Sex in the city. I loved all three of her books. BTW, I added you to my Favorites. Hope you don't mind.
from amomsmusings :
I can so, so, so relate! I think there was about a 3 year time span when we barely did anything in school. We moved, I had a baby, my mom died, I moved my dad, my dad was sick and then sick some more, I got unexpectedly pregnant, I was sick (24-hour morning sickness:)), I had another baby, and so on and so forth. My younger ones were (are) behind, but I'm finding that it really doesn't take too much to get them (almost) caught up. If they were that far behind in public school they'd never catch up, but with one-on-one at home we're covering lost ground pretty fast. We should be up to speed by summer. So yeah, there's hope! And besides, just think about what they're NOT learning from being in public school. Ah, it's priceless! Anyway, I hope your queasies disappear soon and that you're getting all the rest you deserve.

from breathtaken1 :
hi there, hope you are feeling...well...as good as can be expected :) thinking about you because I think my son, who LOVES Flogging Molly (he wears the Kelly Green Tshirt of their like every other day) went shopping last night, and came home with...a pink Marilyn Monroe t-shirt from Hot Topic for his sister (not for him, thank you). Anyway, I thought you might get a smile from this serendipitous coincidence!

Awww. that was a sweet thing to do Terry, but I'm not surprised. I really wouldn't have expected anything different :-)

I just read your sept 2 entry. Thanks for directing me. I am so sorry you had to go through this. It seems to be happening to alot of couples lately. I was wondering, was the affair just an online thing, or was it in person too? Even if it was just online, that is still a betrayal. An exchange of dirty videos and sex talk is a betrayal of intimacy. I really do think your husband is sex addicted, and so are many men these days. A long time ago, when I first found your diary, I read alot of your old entries, and you have been through alot with men and the sex department. I personally dont even have a sex drive because I am sick and tired of it all. I think as women we should be respected, and loved. Sex is ok too, if you desire it, but it shouldnt be the main foucs of things, and all too often some men want to live in a fantasy world. Please dont think its your fault. NO ONE is perfect. I have trouble keeping my house clean and I have one 3 year old who wears me out and it is so tough to be chipper, clean house, gorgeous and ready for sex. Fortunately my husband understands that part. But it had been tough for me in other ways. I know how hard it is trying to stay together and work it out for the kids. I wish you the best, but if you find it is all too much and you cant handle the emotional stress, you may need to get away. But only you can decide for yourself. Keep in touch, I always enjoy your entries.

That lunch date with Dr.L was weird. Are his wife and him swingers? How is she cool with you having lunch with him? What does he look like, and how old is he? What does she look like? I have these mental images, and just want to see if they compare. I picture him about 50 with salt and pepper hair, soft looking and distinguished. She is short and thin with short dark hair, with lots of gold jewelry. Am I right or wrong?
from cinamonjaide :
It seems like you could easily have an affair with Dr.L if you let it happen. I am trying to get caught up on your journal. Which entry has the infor about when your husband cheated, and who he cheated with? You say it was four months ago, what entry is that? I am looking.......
from cinamonjaide :
Hi I used to be at diaryland a long time ago. This is Jaide. I always enjoyed reading your diaries. I had no idea your husband had an affair, but it can happen to anyone. Look at Halle Berry and Pamela Anderson. They were both cheated on. No one is to blame but the cheater, and they often denied it. Sometimes you can never trust them again. I give you credit for trying to work it out, but if it becomes too emotionally stressful, and you feel like you cant trust him, I wouldnt blame you for devising a plan to walk away. Whatever you decide, its your life and you have to live it, and as a spectator I can only give my sincere hugs and support. I am sorry for your rough time. Marriage is so tough sometimes. Better or for worse is no understatement. and its so tough when you have kids too.
from breathtaken1 :
Have you ever tried "Good Nites" or however they spell it. Good nites mean good mornings, as they say...they worked for me! I am a firm believer in not pushing them too soon and making it a big neative thing for them and giving them a complex about it. And having had two sons, I can say it seems to take the boys a little longer than the girls to master this new task.
from breathtaken1 :
Thank you for the nice note. It meant a lot to me. Sounds like you had quite an interesting time at that lunch :) I never knew things got so "hot" in Alaska. Also, thanks for the link to Michelle Malkin -- I loved that article. I totally agree with everything she said!

NONONONONO...you didn't offend me. It just caught me off guard cuz I don't really write about him that much, I think. Yet you identified him that way immediately. Obviously, you just got it. Or, I have described him adequately without realizing it. I am not easily offended so don't worry :)
from breathtaken1 :
GO YOU !! the way you just called my husband controlling and possessive. Probably the two words which best describe him...and you have never even met him. I love it when someone calls a spade a spade.

Sorry, I've been so busy. I'm somewhat disappointed that W didn't put Kerry away. He could have totally made him look so bad, but he chose not to, and I haven't got a clue why. I think that overall he did okay, and my analysis is that it was a draw. Dick Morris put it best, Bush won on substance, and Kerry won on style. Bush is not an 'apropos' debater, or even politician; he's a businessman at heart, and that is the way he handles himself. Kerry on the otherhand, is a seasoned senator whose always done well on spinning things. I was mad at W. He could have put him away, but didn't. The question is, WHY?
from requiel :
I love your diary!! I love the look, the irish stuff, I love that you love LKH, and Flogging Molly! I am so sorry for the things you are going through. I will be reading you frequently! LOVE IT!
from pashiesplace :
Please tread carefully with Dr. L. It sounds like you already are, which is good. If he sees something potentially happening between the 2 of you then he'll diminish anything Mike does. I'm stating the obvious but it's also my recent experience. My DH finally did *get it* though it took months to convince me & his changes have lasted. There is hope but only if you truly want there to be. Trust your gut & your heart. Hugs.
from flusianna :
Your situation makes me sad. I have four children - youngest 15 and my ex had an affair with a woman when my oldest son was 2 (19 years ago). I stuck with it. Miserable. We got divorced. Guess who he now lives with? The same woman! Sad. Flusi
from pashiesplace :
Don't be tough on yourself. Do what you can & what you absolutely have to do. The other things will fall back into place as time goes on. Hugs.
from pashiesplace :
You've been in my thoughts while away. I'm glad that NY was wonderful & a much needed retreat of sorts. I really understand completely, totally giving up. Back in April I was exactly there & I tossed him out. I loved Dh only as a human being, didn't even like him. The thought of suffering thru a movie together made me cry. He promised to change everything & I of course believed none of it. For some reason, *this* time was different. He really got it & has changed everything. I was sure I'd never love him again, not as a wife anyway. After months of watching him I'm realizing that I can & do love him again. It's taken both enormous pain & work to get here, together still in one piece. My point, I guess that changes sometimes really do happen. But my main point, I've been there & I do understand. I remember a solid year of feeling like you are now & it can crush you.Take care of you as best you can. I'm here if you need a shoulder. Hugs.
from pashiesplace :
He needs to "control you"? Oh what a witch she is.It sounds like you are getting some mixed signals for sure. No doctor will give you his cell #, a friend does that.Tread carefully. A good friend and I had a very affectionate friendship for about a year until May when we were both suddenly available.I'm still dealing with the fallout & had to sacrifice a former best friend to try & save my marriage now. I'm still grieving that friendship.Good luck. Hopefully after your NY trip the answers will just be there for you. I hope you just know what you need to do. Hugs.
from pashiesplace :
Oh I can't believe I didn't leave a note sooner. I'm so sorry for what you are going thru. When I found out about John's affair back in June I also was eerily calm. It was almost a relief because I think I sensed something was wrong. Do what you need to, what you think is best and what your heart says as well. Then take anyone that audibly disagrees and kick them to the curb! I'm here for you if you need a shoulder or to vent. Big hugs.
from pashiesplace :
Have you had a Marilyn Monroe martini? Strawberry Schnapps, Strawberry Vodka, Champagne & a strawberry of course. Very yummy. Now I need to go find my Nine Inch Nails so that I can blast "Head Like A Hole".

Hey girl! Hugs to you and your hubby, hope the crappy bits are soothed soon and things perk up for his biz. And yes you're still firmly on my favorites list, read carefully and you'll see I'm a Bush Babe. ;-D The man DOES have a great sense of humor and I suspect enjoys the parodies of himself. I do love people who enjoy themselves. Thanks for sending some Alaskan cool to Tennessee for a couple of days. We so very much needed it!
from dangerspouse :
Hi there! I saw your diary mentioned today in Nixtres' place - she wants everyone to stop by and give you a hug. So consider yourself hugged by a big sweaty Italian :) I'm sorry to hear about the tension in your marriage, that must be an enormous stress. But you told it so eloquently, so touchingly. I hope he comes off whatever control freak / power trip he's on and things work out for you guys. On an unrelated note, I see you're a part time DJ at an Oldies format station! Woo hoo! I'm a full time radio guy in the NYC market. I just wrote an entry yesterday about a funny thing that happened while I was on the air - why don't you check it out? It might make you laugh, or at least feel relieved that it never happened to you. Either one might be helpful right now :) Good luck!
from nixtress :
Part of the reason I've enjoyed reading your contributions to D-land is because you try to stay optimistic while still being realistic. Keep your chin up, lady. Know that we're all rootin' for you. Have faith.

Oh my. I think admitting to myself that my marriage was not great was one of the hardest, most devestating things I'd ever done. However, admitting it frees you to try and make it better. Good luck & huge hugs.

Of course it's okay if you read it. And how did you find me? I have SO much to learn about all this. Any tips and hints would be appreciated. And I often do read yours. Not all the time...I go in spurts, but especially when we haven't talked for a few days. Later!

Ditto to what the fellow below said! Alaska. My wife has a cousin who lives there. A lot of people tell me it's hard to leave once you've been there a while. Is that true? I like I've read so far, and I'll be back :)
from spritopias :
thank you for adding me
from pashiesplace :
Men really do go about things differently. we get home & instantly put the kids first. Men seem to instinctively put themselves first until reminded there is a child or 3 there, LOL.

I am, amn't I? I used to be Too Nice also, and was really given the runaround, but I got fed up and they're all gone and I met the love of my life not long after I made the decision to stop trying so hard. That was ten years ago, and we're still very happy together. Oh, and he's not Irish, I've found very few Irish men who I could get on with, they were very much in the whore/Madonna/rugby/football/Mammy frame of mind, many of them didn't even know how to switch the kettle on, never mind where the hoover was! My fella is not like that, he's a superb cook and hoovers the house every weekend, I love him, hoovering is one household job I don't like. Needless to say, the women where he works (in a residential institution for handicapped) can't get over him, he bakes bread, he's brought in great recipes, odd cheeses (he's Dutch), funny smelling sausages, plays music and sings for the residents on Friday afternoons ... they're looking at me wondering what kind of a woman I am that I have a bloke like this! Yes, my friend wants the whole package, her biological clock is ticking away, and single Mums are pretty common in Ireland now, but she refuses to give in and go down that road! I'm ringing her tonight for an update, I really hope she gives Yer Man what for. He's obviously not paying any attention to how she feels. Talk to you again ...?

Hey Irish Eyes, how's the form. Thanks for your note. Any other Irish writers you like? Marion Keyes? Emma Donoghue? What about painters? A friend of mine in Limerick opened an exhibition in the Bella Gallery last night, it was just great, I really enjoyed it. The paintings are like children's illustrations, but the subject matter is gay adult male relationships. The effect is a certain joyous innocence ... believe it or not. A kind of celebration of love. I'm hoping he'll do a swap with some of mine, I'd love one or two of his in the house - you know how it is, you don't have the kind of furniture you like, you need to get things for your house, but you're bursting at the seams with paintings!!! Anyway ... Write again, it was nice hearing from you.
from eriu999-rua :
Hiya. I never heard of Flogging Molly, and I'm Irish and live in Ireland, but hey ... they're alright if they rock, right? Have you ever heard of The SawDoctors? Band from Galway, they were up and coming in Ireland about 10 years ago, and they still play gigs around the place. I live in Limerick, and I'm an artist - I paint. What about you?
from makahagirl :

from smilefactory :
Enjoy Anchorage! You deserve it!
from luckyenough :
When my blue eyed brother was a rockable baby, I remember my mom holding him and singing "Irish Eyes are smiling." As a squinty eyed descendant..I consider this my mantra. I love the nickname.
from stwig :
I don't think I can take this kind of rejection anymore. Your email server bounced me again. I guess I write spam-like emails.
from in-my-life :
Actually, I need to move things around, but haven't yet had time. Currently the link is at the bottom of my entry. (It says "latest obsession: swappingtons" or something like that). Oh, and after I put the link there I swapped out about four things, so that's why I think it worked.
from stwig :
I wrote you an email this morning, but I just noticed it got bounced back to me this afternoon. I resent it, but thought I'd leave you a note here just to let you know something might not be working with your mail server. Take care. And thanks for your email.
from stwig :
