I think it's a good idea to get more focused on you and less on men/dating etc. It's good to get a good balance. Also, good luck with weight watchers. I've heard good things about it. The main thing that helped me lose weight was the exercise. I was really strict on eating, but the exercise seemed to make the most difference.

I don't think you have to tell anyone what you are looking for until you've already been out once or twice. That way it doesn't look like you are just after sex which would make you look cheap and easy. You could go out a few times and then just mention that while you enjoy his company, you just got out of a serious relationship and really can't see yourself getting into anything serious for a long time. What do you think?

I know in the younger croud like my daughters, it means "lets fuck" without strings. Or the "friends with benefits." I think in your thirties and fourties, I don't think they expect that?? Well now I feel super smart...1) I figured out that little mystery. Then 2) her highness was asking for something that sounded like cucker bitz-ses n milk and I had no clue what she wanted. I know cucker is usually cracker, but when I offered her various crackers, she wasn't interested. She's generally a very clear speaker, but this was a total mystery and she was totally adament. Then I finally figured out she was a cup of milk cracker fishes....fishes just wasn't coming through. I really need to become more fluent in 2 year old.

I've had the Thai Chili ice cream and it is pretty good but I must warn you...after two or three bites the back of your throat is ON FIRE. My favorites are Dark Cocoa Gelato, Mulled Wine, Lemoncello with Cranberries and Pineapple with Pink Peppercorns. Salty Caramel is her most popular, it is salty and sweet all at once but I can't eat much of it at once. Since I am a pig and all, I enjoy ice creams I can eat nonstop till the container is empty. Ha!

That's almost as strange as the fact that wifey poo and I have talked to each other, know fully about each other have eaten together etc....however. We don't get along so well, she hates me, with good reason and while I don't hate her or want bad things to happen to her I can't really tolerate a lot of things she does and has done. But I can't imagine if Kevin I ever were to kinally have a real shot together that she and I would be able to have the relationship you and inez have.

Yes I live in Chicago. In the actual city, I've lived here all of my life, except for college when I got a mad hair a lived in Amherst, Massachusetts for 3.5 years. Well had she been more awake, she would have loved to go get it herself it would have an excuse to get out of bed. However she was asleep and I try to keep her in bed when I finally get her to go to there, or else she'll stay up all night. However she was so tired she couldn't even lift her head to acknowledge that I put him in bed with her and she's happily slumbering again. YAY...it's fun knowing they need you for such important things.

Funny, I was going to comment how I have no mommy gauge either. My mom died, her mom died before I could think to ask about menopause, and my other grandmother had a hysterectomy when she was in her 30's. My menopause is going to be surprise timing, too. How about Aunt Duh or whatever her name is? You know, your favorite aunt? Is she your mom's sister? If I write hubba hubba again I don't think it'll be funny this time. Maybe next time. =)

Could be pre-menopausal symptoms. The ablation in June threw me into it & I get hot flashes, sweats, insomnia, tingling in my hands...It basically throws your body off similarly to how pregnancy can. Hugs.

Heck yes I was thrilled. It was a major experiment that could have totally backfired if she had been satisfied with either a) sleeping in my bed by herself or b) sleeping on the floor with me. She gets on these sleeping in "mommy's bed" kicks and it's a challenge to break her of it everytime. Plus with the whole eggsaucted for 2 years and in dire need of the little bit of sleep I can get, I frequently cave in just in the hope of getting some sleep. Speaking of sleep it's past my bedtime.

See, that is exactly what I think. I think if she were paying taxes and acting as if this is a "regular" job then things would be different. However she wants the best of both worlds. I don't claim Tiffany on my taxes, that's how I know that she doesn't claim her income. She is supposedly going to give me her social security number this year but we'll see. She's always trying to cheat the system. There is no reason for her to be on WIC or state aid. I figure I've already paid for her vacation by paying my taxes. I hate her. I am moving him before either of these weeks occur. If he was at regular daycare, I wouldn't have to pay for one teacher to go on vacation and for another teacher to watch him, ya know? I don't think Chocolate Fountains are passe...our event chairs who are the wives of CEOs think they're passe. I spend my days dealing with people who can spend my entire salary for a year on one thing and not bat an eyelash. Sometimes it's kind of cool, other times it's annoying. But I have to attend at least 2 black tie events a year plus other smaller events that pop up and I can't drop $100 or more on a dress everytime so I hit ebay with a vengence and got myself a nice little collection of dresses and things to wear on these occassions and I think total I spent $100 or so and I'm set for a while. I'm noticiable enough at these events that I can't always wear the same thing, but I'm also invisible enough that I'll be able to recycle in a few years and wear them again.

Your note made me think harder than any note I've ever gotten before. I really didn't understand the whole situation or what my friend had said until I read your note. I guess because I was sooo upset by Nicole that I never really thought it could go deeper than her just being mean to me. But, since I consider you a friend and your note was something similar, I was more open to trying to understand it. I don't want to put people off by being bubbly and happy. I haven't always been happy. My teen years stressed me out so badly, I was miserably depressed - suicidal at times even. It seems like everyone in Elkhorn is on disability. My grandparents are from there. My papaw had a coal company which was the only big money up there. My aunt and two of her daughters still live in the area. I'm up there about five to ten times a year. It's only a 3 1/2 hour drive from here but the back roads kill me. I thought it would be farther for you but I guess Ky is north of here so it would be closer than here. It used to take me 8 hours to get to Maryland. I suck at geography. Is your fiance from there? How did he end up there? That's so bizarre. I never meet anyone who knows where Elkorn is, most people don't even know where PIkeville is. Why did he not finish police academy school? How long would it take for him to finish? Will they pay for it? Good luck with all that. I imagine it's hard not knowing where you are going to start your life together at, right? Your kids are with their father, right? Are they close to you? Will you ever have full custody? Do you want it? What did you think of Hillbilly Days, idd you have fun?

I live in TN now but my family is originally from Elkhorn City, KY which is about 30 miles outside of Pikeville. Pikeville is the biggest city anywhere near their houses. Hillbilly Days is a lot of fun. How often do you make it to KY? Do you like it there? Is your fiance from there?

I definitely understand that! It's the same with movie trailers. We saw a trailer for The Prince and Me the other day (having seen the movie this summer) and realized we could have just watched the damn trailer and known everything that happened in that movie! LOL I hate when opening credits/trailers give everything away.
