It's been a while since I've been updated on everyone's journal's. I cannot believe what I am reading about Leslie. I want it to be a joke or something cruel but not real. Apparently 5 years older than me, however just a kid. I loved that about her.
from san-meroed :
My e-mail? Might I ask why? Or a more... secure place to send it to you?
from eowyn86 :
Publius, how are you doing? I just realized you haven't updated in a while and I was wondering how things are going - is your living situation working out for you now?

from eowyn86 :
Thanks for the encouragment, Publius - it means a lot to me. I guess everyone will let me down at some point, but I just want to find someone who won't do the things he did...

from gia-darling :
hahaha that was soooooo funny. Where u been dude?
from gia-darling :
How come I don't get a comment? I guess after knowing me 6 years you just don't know enough about me hmmmm? ;-)
from thisismywish :
Great! Do you want to email that to me and I'll post it?:) By the way, I'm terrible. I don't have a lot of time to e-mail people, which is why I haven't e-mailed you. It is NOT at all that I don't respect with what you are saying to me, it's just that I don't have time!:) I appreciate your faithfulness when it comes to reading my blog. You are a great dland buddy. Thanks for doing a ghost entry! Yay! Beth
from watty :
Thanks so much for your note! It made my day and I hope my hives go away soon, too. Take care! =)
from dinahsoar :
Welcome! I'm glad you found me, 'cuz now I found you and am enjoying your diary, too. Mine inadvertently turned into a book, so (lengthy a process as it is) it is meant to be read in sequence from the very first entry forward. Now I'm toying with doing a more day-to-day (hence, diary, right?). Thanks for your interest.
from muddyirene :
Hey, thanks for the note :) glad you enjoyed my diary! yours is quite interesting too! I especially love the quotes scattered all around n_n
from bleedenheart :
well thanks for the note, i personally haven't analyzed love that much, and i just try to take it for what it is. All of that analyzing is jut taking away from it, i think. I just let it be. if you want to email me, you can do so at [email protected]
from misspinkkate :
Thanks, glad you enjoyed the audio blog! I'm gonna start thinking of new exciting ways to use it.
from hamiltonian :

from marilynstar :
I don't understand your note
from chrisalmond :
thank you. that is kind of you to say.
from soft-fairy :
hey, thanks for the note....nice diary, i like the quotes specialy...
from bleedenheart :
I don't know what love is anymore to be honest. I suppose it's just a psychological explanation for what the body feels but it gets so twisted and i dunno. whatever.
from thisismywish :
That's great a quote! May I ask what made you think of me when you read that?:)
from ruachadonai :
Yes, I added everyone from diaryland to my blogrolling account and erased my profile, that way I am unsearchable. :P
from revisions :
thanks!

Ah, you make a wonderful point. Thank you for that wisdom, I will try and take that to heart.

I did the warning more for my readers than anybody else. People are sensitive, and since I don't know everyone's backgrounds, I wanted to give them fair warning or ward off potential asswipes in case they wanted to say stuff. Thanks so much H, your compliments flatter me.
from gia-darling :
Well I'm not psychic so I don't automatically know what you mean when you don't explain do I? I don't know what i've done to apparently offend you, that was not my intention.
from gia-darling :
If i only knew what? not everything is personal.
from banefulvenus :
liked your banner about being well adjusted! very witty!!
from thisismywish :
ANOTHER great entry?? Well, thanks much, that's quite the compliment!
from redneck-jew :
I applaud you for helping the old folks. I know a little bit about what you are going through because my mother and father in-law live with my wife and I because they aren't able to live on their own anymore. My grand parents live with my mother who takes care of them. One has Parkinsons and the other has Alzheimers.

Wow I've just been learning about Didactic theatre in drama. I'm Grace by the way, from Yorkshire in England. I'm a girl :) (it's hard to tell on here so thought i'd just clarify that) are you a girl or a boy? What are some of your favourite things to do? or think about? xx

from ima-bandgeek :
In reference to the comment you left about the absence of the New Orleans bands and all that... that must be really hard! I have no idea what that would be like and I don't think I could bear that! I know during that whole Katrina period, my best friend was down in New Orleans and I didn't hear from her for a loooong time... so I was scared! But she came back OK. Her instruments came home last week... and one had been changed to a strange reddish color... no one really knows why - nor wants to know why...
from thisismywish :
Great...I vote we read...I don't know. Some novel. Any particular ones you would care to try?

And please, feel free to talk about yourself and whore your site. I have zero problem with that. Be sure to do a nice intro for me! *kisses* your an angel and I love you for doing this.

responding to your egoslap note: I like you... even if I am not one of your favorites, I like you... I may not read you (punch line), but I like you... actually, I do read you, when I am not running away from the news, and I respect you and like you... so there, now you know, you are liked ;)
from cunegonde :
If the tax money is put into an account like it's "supposed" to... then it would be around when Americans need it... since it is OUR hard earned money being shucked into said account. I do think that all "AID Relief" should be out of private donations and not a federal fund... because the money that is supposed to be there isn't anyway, the system is not working. So the 60+ billion dollars is being kicked from other factions that actually need the money to survive. And Aid to and from other countries?!? Well, that is all for political advancement and not sincerely to help those less fortunate. Those who want to donate should, and those who don't, well, that is there perogative I suppose, but like I had stated in one of my own entries... Americans donate more money than anyone else in the world- even though we have already donated to the relief efforts through our taxes, we are still shelling out everything we can to help in addition to that. THAT speaks something great of the heart and love that we Americans have for eachother, even though we typically can't stand one another... cheers!

In the Tradition of FRIDAY THE 13TH PART TWO and.... OKLAHOMA.... comes Canibal: The Musical! Parker and Stone at their finest! I've ordered the catalog. The first Troma flick I ever saw was when I was 17 at a midnight movie in Dallas of ... KILLER CONDOM!! F*N fabulous! Geiger did the designs for the condom monsters- it was so gross, but politically poignant! Lovely stuff it is! Lata! Glad you enjoy! Oh, they making a new one... POULTRY GEIST. The stills of the production show lots of promise!
from reenyp73 :
that would have been interesting, but iggy pop was so much more appropriate for the theme. there wasn't too much iggy pop in any case. I think they used his name more just because people know iggy pop better than johnny thunders. they're both great though!
from a-rosewithin :
Good Morning Hamiltonian! I would like to thank you for the very sweet comment that you left within my guestbook. It left a smile knowing that my words [verbosity] is missed. I am still writing, yet not as much online not at all at diaryland and not often on my site CFFL. I did give a rather verbose 10-page letter to my neighbor/friend, [poor guy! *g*], which I shared on my site yesterday. I am working on being succinct. I am quite certain this will be a life long goal of mine ---- Why use 10 words, when 10,000 will do? ---- Im trying to widdle that 10,000 down to under 100! Perhaps that is unrealistic of me? *g* //\\//\\ Regarding your entry on June 17th it was wonderful! My heart thrives in regards to these kinds of topics. I left you a note and question within your comments and I look forward to your reply. Please enjoy an incredible weekend! Love from afar yet near in Heart, ~Shannon

The one on the profile (only one I happened to see) viz., this one: "If you were in prison and you had a 50% choice of lethal injection, a 45% chance of going to the electric chair and only a 5% chance of escape, are you likely to vote for lethal injection because that is your most likely outcome? If you continue to vote for the Democrats or the Republicans, you are committing political suicide."-Libertarian Presidential Candidate Michael Badnarik.

May you experience today as a sacred gift woven around the heart of wonder.
from eowyn86 :
Politically? Well, I don't think I've really seen many political films, unless you mean documentaries. (And I'm sure National Treasure doesn't count ;-) Personally I watch films for entertainment or relaxation, and politics to me are more serious than entertaining. But I do like Ken Burns' documentary on the Civil War, mainly because it gives us a look at historical politics as well as war. But as for modern politics, I usually just read about them. What are your favorites?
from kilowatt :
"Today, like every other day, we wake up empty and frightened. Don't open the door to the study and begin reading. Take down the dulcimer. Let the beauty we love be what we do. There are hundreds of ways to kneel and kiss the ground." ~ Rumi in Open Secret ~ I have been greatly amiss in notifying you of my extreme pleasure in the time you took to pause upon my doorstep and delicately place upon it, a lovely little gift from you. A gracious compliment concerning my previous note to you. The act of reading your expressed sentiment was a most decadent treat that shall be the dessert to my day. I thank you immensely for your lovely words. May your day consist of inexplicable, exuberant, and buoyant joys. May your evening consist of dancing in dappled moonlight, dreaming under a canopy of midnight blue, and wishing upon your favorite star. I thank you again for your exquisite thoughtfulness and compassion.
from eowyn86 :
Thank you :-)

Thank you for the link Hamiltonian. And I should be recieving the entire collection of D.B. Johnson's (bear) books this week. "Henry Builds a Cabin", "Henry Hikes to Fitchburg", "Henry Works", "Henry Climbs a Mountain". I am excited to read and to let my kids read these books. =) Please enjoy a wonderful day! Love, ~Shannon
from a-rosewithin :
Last week I noticed you added an entry of mine to your list. I am pleased and humbled that you enjoyed my entry, let alone sharing it here as well. This was a personal journal entry that I was hesitant to share and it just sat and sat for a time before I sharing it here at DL and on my site. //\\ Also, this morning I noticed a quote by Henry David Thoreau in your entry. This is a lovely quote and so true --- to dance to the beat of our own drums --- leaving the Tribe so to speak, which often, requires great courage and bravery. I have never read Thoreau until just recently. Last week I purchased many of his essays including 'Civil Disobedience', 'Walking' and a few others. And a few books, 'Walden', and 'Letters to A Spiritual Seeker'. He fascinates me already and I've barely even nicked his thoughts. I am looking forward to reading more. I have, as of yet, to run across the quote you shared in your entry and I look forward to discovering which book he wrote it in. //\\ Also my friend shared with me some children's books about a Bear - the Bear being Henry David; I look forward to introducing my children to Thoreau via the writings of D.B. Johsnon. //\\ May you enjoy a wonderful day ... May you enjoy dancing to the beat of your own drums! Love from afar yet near in heart, ~ Shannon

I'm wondering why you left me a note stating your opinion so strongly. I certainly hope that it wasn't trying to contradict what you may have thought is my opinion... because if so you're horribly wrong and I wasn't aware that I had made mine known. If not than I'm not really sure why you left me that, but either way I am glad that you're bendable but still have a strong opinion and the ability to shout it as loud as you so wish.

oh well, maybe if you laugh at nothing it's the same as laughing normally so try that. although i'll warn you, people look at you strangely if you do that in public! did you want to know the password for my diary?
from constantine- :
Okay, that last note was horrible, I was distracted. I do notice the different perspectives though, which is why I did throw in both terms "brave" and "cowardly". It'd be horrifying to face the unknown and take your own life, but it could also horrifying to face another day of nothing but pain. Killing yourself takes bravery, and so does staying alive. I understand the perspectives, and I'm sure there are more than these two. I just decided to highlight those for now. Thanks for all the notes by the way. *hug to you too*
from constantine- :
I'm pretty sure that I'm looking at it from a lot of perspectives... I'm generally pretty good at things like that, which is why I said brave enough or scared enough... or something like that.

Thanks. I'm having a serious struggle with my unconscience mind- as well as my conscience one. Only a handful of people I know think that I am not crazy or retarded... Luckily, I am one of those. Take it easy. Don't work to hard- we will all die. Make today beautiful. It all starts in your own mind. Everything does. Control your mind and you CAN change the world! Wow- that's some heavy stuff! :) Salute!

hey there. thanks. :) your diaryland is very political. unfortunately, i'm oblivious when it comes to politics.

You shared with me: "Hopefully my own writings reach out and touch others with gentle reminders about living, loving, becoming more aware and welcoming all around. Though I do go about it a far different way than Kilowatt does. Sometimes my journal can be like having truth, which may feel like shit rubbed in ones face."//\\//\\ We all have different messages to share once we find our voice. We each sing in different tones; many different octaves. Some enjoy those hard, more bold tones, while others enjoy soft melodic tones ... various approaches work at different times; for different people. I do not doubt for a moment that your words are as powerful and as empowering and speak straight to the heart of many.//\\//\\ In regards to reaching out and sharing, what I like to call our "Heart Thoughts", our views etc ..... I know my way is not the only way and being inquisitive helps me grow. Learning to embrace new ways, new views benefits me. Embracing the art of concilliation - "This does not mean one should give up one's own idea in order to agree with someone else; and there is no advantage in always being lenient towards every thought that comes from another, nor in erasing one's own ideas from one's heart; that is not concilliation. The one who is able to listen to another is the one will make another listen to him." ~~ Hazrat Inayat Khan ~~ I suppose I'd rather have my rumped kick hard then receive no rump kicking at all...figuratively speaking of course. Personally, I'd rather be sung too and written too.=) //\\//\\ Thank you again, for leaving a wonderfully simple and sweet compliment... thank you for enjoying the tone and the tune of my voice. And YES ... I adore Kim. I am happy to hear you enjoyed my comments in regards to her writings. She has an amazing and lovely heart ... and a beautiful voice that I believe many more will come to hear and look forward too. Singing from afar, yet near in heart, ~ Shannon, The Rose Within PS. "Rainbows are people whose lives are bright, shining examples for others." ~ Maya Angelou ~ I thank you for your considerable kindness in regards to the recent gift of words, elegantly wrapped in esteem and extreme thoughtfulness that you so gingerly placed upon the portal of my online existence. Even with a Dell I can't read your entries. I must be doing something wrong.
from eowyn86 :
It's okay, I think I followed you well enough. And I totally agree that we are far too drug-addicted as a society. Personally I don't like taking any kind of medication unless I'm really in pain, which has only happened a few times in my life. Once my doctor and dentist both told me to take something like 8 aleve pills per day to help with a muscle problem, and it almost killed me to do it because I knew I didn't need to, and I stopped before I was supposed to. I've heard lots of mixed opinions on sunscreen...I use it because I don't want to burn my skin, but then, people lived and worked in the sun for thousands of years without any epidemics of skin cancer that we know of - and it's still the same sun, isn't it? So I don't know where I stand on that...I'm probably not informed enough, but it's hard when everyone says something different. Anyway, to me the Terri Schiavo case goes so much deeper than just a feeding tube. It's about parents losing their daughter for no good reason, and a husband legally killing his wife for no good reason either. Well, that's all for now - see, you're not the only one who can rant ;-) God bless. *Laura*
from eowyn86 :
I also agree in that I do side with life, but I don't think I go for the whole idea of "cheating death." Everyone dies at some point, but that never makes it okay to murder them. It's true that we now use machines to prolong life, but we also use medications, and safety belts, and many other things to prolong life that are "less techinical," and which were not used at different points in the past. Personally I see things like feeding tubes as blessings rather then "cheating death." But thank you for sharing your opinion - it's appreciated. God bless! *Laura*

Thanks for the compliments... I actually have to take the medicine to live. I tried life without mood stabilzers and it's miserable. More miserable than being on them. Actually, I remember hearing about something that surprised me even more- last I heard they were actually prosecuting those who had wrongfully released Rush Limbaugh's medical records. That surprised me since you'd think Rush Limbaugh is one of the last people they'd want to defend. That still doesn't make up for the persecution they've been doing, but at least they aren't all bad.
from ruachadonai :
Hello luv, where have you gone to?
from sillygirl27 :
Thanks for the encouragement!!

I wanted to let you know I updated No Nannies. God bless, Publius.

It's the Sidney Monas translation. I have nothing to compare it to, of course, but I can tell you it's excellent. And Vicki is worse than demented. Thanks for the consolation.
from bonnylisbon :
I completely understand why you had to speak up. That's funny that you mentioned that Clash song because I love that song and that band! I suppose I shouldn't have said all reggae, just Bob Marley. Although "No Woman No Cry" makes me cry.
from eowyn86 :
I suppose your view of the ACLU will depend a lot on what your beliefs are, and what news stories you happen to read. Most of the ones I've read on them are horrible, but I'm sure they've done some things that I would consider good too, just not as many. I've just heard too many stories about them persecuting religious beliefs, so I felt that I finally needed to say something about it. I agree that public schools have a ton of problems, which is why I'm so glad I didn't have to go to one. By the way, did you ever see National Treasure? I know a lot of movie critics didn't like it, but I thought the historical things in it were interesting. Catch ya later... *Laura*

Thanks for your email. You're much more prolific than I am.I would tentatively define @narchism as"direct action for a stateless society, based on decentralization and federation, common ownership and self-management,where all will be free and equal.Voluntary co-operation for mutual aid."My interest in mysticism includes Buddhism,Taoism,Sufism,Hasidism,Meister Eckhart,Santa Teresa de vila and Hindu Advaita Vedanta. The Advaita Vedanta doctrine of monism advocated by Shankara contends that the phenomenal world and the apparent individual selves are ultimately an illusion(My)and only the impersonal absolute(Brahman)is real.My is a superimposition on Brahman.Brahman trancends time, space and causation yet pervades everything and is immanent in all beings as tman. If,through yoga,we can penetrate the ego to this ultimate reality we reach Samdhi(cosmic consciousness). When permanently established, this leads to Moksha, liberation from the cycle of rebirths(Samsra),caused by the actions and reactions of Karma, and eternal spiritual union with the absolute-the identity of tman and Brahman. The four main ways to union with Brahman are:Jnna Yoga(self-knowledge),Bhakti Yoga(devotion),Karma Yoga(selfless service)and Rj Yoga(meditation).Shankara only accepts as "real" that which neither changes nor ceases to exist. When he says that the world of thought and matter is not real,he does not mean that it is non-existent. Naturally,I'm strongly influenced by Gandhian Satygraha."Ahinsa paramo dharma." My favourite writers include: Alberto Moravia,Aldous Huxley,Christopher Isherwood,Colette,Anita Desai,D.H.Lawrence,Dostoyevsky,Ernest Hemingway,Franz Kafka,Hermann Hesse,Jack Kerouac,James Baldwin,James Joyce,Jean-Paul Sartre,Jorge Luis Borges,Marcel Proust,Oscar Wilde,Scott Fitzgerald and Zelda,Simone de Beauvoir,Virginia Woolf,Robert Graves,Thomas Mann,Toni Morrison,Gabriel Garca Mrquez,Yukio Mishima,Henry James,Albert Camus,Arthur Koestler,Laurie Lee,Doris Lessing,Azorn,Po Baroja,Emilia Pardo Bazn,Isabel Allende,Miguel de Unamuno,Francisco Ayela, some Cela(but not all)-how's that for name-dropping! Best libertarian wishes.

I really really DO mean that. Sincerely, thanks.

Letting hate consume me, huh? I'm really not letting hate consume me. ". I would only suggest transforming your anger and hatred of injustice into an energy of another kind, one that is positive that can change your life and others. By letting it eat you and becoming hateful we lose track of the problem. Thats selfish as well as ignorant. So I feel it is the right thing to do is move forward without hate, anger and stay on the subject nand never get sidetracked by letting our anguish to get the better of us." What are you referring to? The governors election? If so, why don't you move right here to where the heat is going on? And, besides that, I refuse to sit back lazily and let my state be controlled by a liar and a cheat. And I am doing something positive about it. I am not just sitting here with a little notebook trying to make plans to overtake the thrown, I am trying to overtake the thrown sensibly. So I don't really appreciate the "selfish as well as ignorant" comment. Maybe I misunderstood you, and if so I am sorry. Please clarify yourself. I have a headache, I'm getting off.

:-( I'm sorry you didn't have a great holiday. Sometimes it is just really stressful. Hopefully your New Year will be better. ::hugs::
from ixora05 :
yep, agree about that. in Singapore what they do to discourage it is they print really graphic pictures on the cigarette boxes like a brain being cut open and the clot of blood inside, and fat deposits in a smoker's aorta, and a baby stillborn due to the mother smoking etc. but the smokers just rip the pic off or ask for the 'family pack' which only shows the family members of a smoker coughing on the secondhand smoke. *sigh*
from avataroftiff :
I saw that episode about Mr. Hankey - priceless. Sorry about the restaurant debacle and the tension you experienced with your dad. I hope Xmas day turned out better. Thanks for your notes - you're right about typing my entries in word and copying them over. Good idea. I've come up with a shortcut to that. I type in the dland form, then I copy the text before I send it, that way if it doesn't go through, I can always paste it into another form and resend. That seems to work. Take care! I'm wishing you a stellar New Years Eve.

I'd be absolutly destitute right now if it wasn't for my friends. I am so thankful to have the friends I do. They have saved my neck more than a few times. It's my family (not my kids) that is lacking. There's a song at school the kids sing about "If you want to have a friend, be a friend." I wish I was a better friend.
from boxx9000 :
Sorry about your Christmas dinner with your Dad. We can't choose our family can we? That is why FRIENDS are so important. Friends are the family we do choose. I'm wishing you lots of health and happiness in the New Year. ~Love, BoXx
from aeka :
Thank you very much...I hope that this new year which approaches is filled with serenity and bliss for you. : )
from minstrelite :
Merry Christmas to you as well. I had to remove personal journal entries from the Internet because I'd unwittingly linked my "minstrelite" online handle to my business web site. Ironically, I was stalked by callous trolls in the process, who unearthed my full given name and my daughter's whereabouts and apparently decided to endanger my family with slanderous articles on their web sites. There was one on LiveJournal and two on DiaryLand. LiveJournal Abuse Team said they'd take care of it, but I've gotten no response in the last three weeks from the help desk at DiaryLand. So this has nothing to do with your friend or the alleged debate you mentioned - I feel bad about that, but the whole thing got way out of hand. In fact, part of the reason I logged on this morning was to apologize to him, and wish him a merry Christmas. I'm thinking that probably I have a problem, some kind of impulse control disorder that manifests on the Internet, because these kinds of troublesome situations don't generally occur in "real life," so I'm taking some time to reflect on that, and to see if I can adjust my Internet behavior in a more positive way. Anyway, I'm on Blogger now, and you can send me an email at minstrelite at hotmail dot com if you want the url. If I ever get a response from Andrew or Sammy, I'll consider coming back to DiaryLand. Take care.

I've been torn between wanting to believe in hope for this country (and humanity, for that matter) and just living the illusion that I am an alien visitor stuck on this insane world (heck, they both may be illusions)... the key, can we love who we are and be happy within ourselves when we are alone, at least I have that... so keep on walking and know you are not completely alone on this rock.

Hey, thanks for your continued support! :) It's nice getting your notes after I upload my paranoid rants. I went to see the Hamilton exhibit - I love the first room with all the portraits of important figures in his life - what a great idea. I learned a lot about him. What an interesting beginning he had. He's kind of a mysterious character. Here's one quote of his that I recorded in my Hello Kitty dayplanner: "Is it not time to awake from the deceitful dream of a golden age?" Timely, no?

I'm so sorry about your friend and neighbor. I'm sure his family appreciated the flowers and kind words. I feel that you are kind of torn on the nature of Thanksgiving and whether we should celebrate it or not. If so, I feel the same way. I will try to see it as a time to show love and compassion for everyone who crosses my path, and to remind all those in my close acquaintance how much I care about them. That said, I thought about you yesterday while I was with my buddies having dinner and I hope you had a good day.

You've made quite an impression by those last two entries. It's terrible about your neighbor. You have an absolutely intriguing site here, and I got a kick out of the George Bush quotes on your profile but was scared by this one : "If this were a dictatorship, it'd be a heck of a lot easier, just as long as I'm the dictator."--President George W. When I say inevitable, I'm not advocating it by any means. I don't think the US or any other NATO member would be likely to use these weapons at all. Would I put it past North Korea, or Iran? Indeed I wouldn't, nor should anyone else. I also don't think that it would happen by any conventional means. It will happen when some nut job smuggles it into my country, and sets it off in NY, Chicago, or LA.
from karamazov :
Interesting. I am Ivan Karamazov incarnate. I think the encounter between the Grand Inquisitor and Jesus is one of the greatest scenes in all of literature. Oh, and I also use the Pevear and Volokhonsky translation. Wish I could read Dostoevsky in the original though.

http://smartngoodlookin.sirblogalot.com I didn\'t read the article, nor did I care... But! I\'ve moved from No Nannies to http://smartngoodlookin.sirblogalot.com. I blog with two friends there. Nice. Which authors in particular?
from dramoth :
Hey thanks for the honor of joining your list! That is a hella lot of quotes, and they pretty much run from the spectacular to the "WTF?". I love it!

Point taken.

I am sure that, right about now, Scott Peterson is wishing that at least a certian 12 people thought the same way you do...
from pandionna :
I heart you. You are SO right about all the issues surrounding the law with respect to "life" and so on. I wish I didn't feel compelled to take all the comments out, because your comments were dead on, but I didn't want people getting on each other. Muah.
from breathtaken1 :
I am not wishing Arafat anything -- he is no longer with us. I merely pointed out that he caused much pain and suffering for 40 years, and that perhaps it was justice that a bit was visited on him.
from mr-knowitall :
who isn't? Do you think I want to see anyone fall victim to nuclear attack? Unfortunately It's starting to look inevitable.
from reenyp73 :
sorry this took so long. what i think of rachael corrie eh? I respect her for standing up for the palestinian people, and for what she believed in, and i think the israeli army sucks fucking ass for killing her. I really wish that didn't happen. http://www.miftah.org/Display.cfm?DocId=1866&CategoryId=23 this is for anyone who doubts that it was done on purpose.

from lousrose :
oh my god honey, i'm so sorry you are going through this hell right now. please let me know what i can do to help if there is anything and i'll do it, just ask. i'm glad you are still reading quotes because they're always good for inspiration and a reminder that lots of people have dealt with the same shit and come out alright. *big hugs*
from pandionna :
A link? Neat! Hmmm, a symbol? I'm always cool with flamingos. You could even save one of the little ones off my template and use that somehow. I used to change my template with the seasons, but a friend made my current one for me when I was recovering from some surgery last fall and surprised me with it, and I still love it. They're such pink and cranky birds.
from mr-knowitall :
Here in Ohio there is no 'party ticket'... its one of those states that does not require party affiliation to register. So based on what yu say, I can easily believe it if there were a lot of confusion, especially amng 1st time voters.
from pandionna :
Hmmm, I think I've found the one quote you don't have in your profile, heh. And of course it's from Thomas Jefferson!
from watery-tears :
Haha okay. You'd make a good diaryland president.
from aeka :
Oh yes...I'm sorry. We'll catch up another time, after all, I am online quite frequently. But, as always, chatting with you was a delight : )
from mr-knowitall :
No, I understand your point. But I disagree with it to a degree, and I wanted to clarify what I gleened from the article
from mr-knowitall :
correction.... I do agree where it says,"Pacifism is also unbiblical, because it does not take the whole counsel of Scripture. It does not separate a Christian's private duties from his public duties, and the role of the State versus the role of the individual."
from mr-knowitall :
Perverted? That some pretty strong langauge. (like I should talk) But, The author is lending a Christian perspective based on scriptural guidelines. I do disagree when they say, "When taken to its logical conclusion, it would virtually do away with courts and police departments. It would ultimately lead to anarchy due to the nature of human hearts."... well I don't know about that, but I don't agree where they say, "Pacifism is also unbiblical, because it does not take the whole counsel of Scripture. It does not separate a Christian's private duties from his public duties, and the role of the State versus the role of the individual." My point in posting the link was to demonstrate that his perception of what or how Christians think was wrong. The article (I think) clearly shows that based on incidents recorded in scripture, Jesus and his followers undertood the need for the use of force in certain situations. I like how he points out that "Jesus was not a pacifist, nor was He a hawk. It is interesting that Jesus makes everyone uncomfortable, because He can never be put in anybody's box." I'm not really familiar with what your views are. To be honest, I've not read a lot of your blog yet. If we are going to debate/discuss this, I'd like to have a better idea of where you are coming from. Are there any links/entries you could point me to?
from mr-knowitall :
oh that is so cool! I'm so flattered, :) :)thank you!
from mr-knowitall :
I didn't see the link! I did link those guys, just not all of them came out... html glich or something.
from mr-knowitall :
Sorry, I just hear a lot of the same rhetoric of extreme distrust of any result contrary to ones expectation.
from apple-cutter :
Ok sorry for being mean to you, I thought You were saying you liked bush and are happy he won. Does america people want more wars and more taxs?
from apple-cutter :
Fuck you all who love Bush's balls!Go suck cock
from eowyn86 :
Sorry, but Bush won this one. I mean, somebody had to win, didn't they? And I'm afraid it wasn't the libertarian candidate this time. When you have millions of votes being cast and counted, there has to be a sure winner at some point. I still agree that our government is corrupt, but it's not like the matrix or something. Some things about it are still real.
from apple-cutter :
What the fuck are you talking about? You want me to vote for you?I dont see you running for anything! Well I do remember your name and your form mat.So whats up? Are ya bullshit-N with your self?LoL sorry I am just a little happy I got done voting for Kerry and hope he wins.Well ya ok I guess I vote for ya! Did you vote for Kerry?I will Die if bush wins.
from bonnylisbon :
Can you really run for Diaryland president? How the fuck do you do that? And more importantly, how do I vote (for you)?
from krazieespy :
I voted for you too :)
from absinthesigh :
I voted for you my El Presidente, I think I was number 11!! Good luck good luck! with love, ophelia
from eowyn86 :
I really don't think I like the idea of our government accepting money from foreigners. Sheesh, money is a huge problem. I was kind of interesed as to what you'd think of Hamilton's policies on borrowing. When I read about Alexander Hamilton, the book said that he believed borrowing money was inevitable for the government, and it would make it stronger. Sometimes I wonder how things would be different now if the goverment had simply paid off its debts early on instead. Would we be trillions of dollars in debt now if it hadn't been seen as inevitable then? *Laura*
from eowyn86 :
Yes, I agree the government is messed up. That's why I said voting was the least anyone could do, because so many people just ignore what the government does and don't care enough to at least try to change it. Those were the people that I was trying to challenge in that entry, but I don't know if it worked or not. I don't like the fact that we're not as much a democracy as we once were...I'd rather the government let us keep as much of our money as possible rather than using our taxes on what it "thinks" we need. *Laura*
from spritopias :
I don't hear music on your page, but I have my browsers set to ignore that kind of input. I'm sorry I can't help you on that but I am on dial up so I have to limit those things.
from bonnylisbon :
What kind of dirty establishment did you work at?! A strip club (or sushi joint)?!
from ima-bandgeek :
Yeah, it's been proven that people who can play an instrument are in the top 10% of society because to focus on so many different things at once, basically learn a whole new "language" that you must rely on your fingers and ambature for - not your vocal chords - it's been found that other subjects are easy to those in music. The world LIVES on music - so anyone who hates band doesn't realize that without people to make music - there would be none! Ha!
from d0wntown :
To answer your question, to add music you need his code <!-- begin code provided by createblog.com --> <object classid="clsid:CFCDAA03-8BE4-11cf-B84B-0020AFBBCCFA" width="100" height="20" id="SDCL"> <param name="src" value="ADD MUSIC HERE"> <param name="autostart" value="true"> <param name="controls" value="controlpanel"> <embed src="ADD MUSIC HERE" width="100" height="20" type="audio/x-pn-realaudio-plugin" autostart="true" controls="controlpanel"></embed> </object> <!-- end code provided by createblog.com --> Then you need to find a song with a URL, try searching singingfish.com. When you have the right song, your your right mouse clicker and select properties then copy and paste the URL into the ADD MUSIC HERE sections. Paste the entire code onto your template. and Music will play when you open your diary!
from eowyn86 :
Thanks much for the comment :-) So, are you a fan of Alexander Hamilton? We just briefly covered him in my stupid college history course. He seems like a very interesting guy. I wonder if anything different would have happened if dueling had been illegal back then. Oh well, have a nice day! *Laura*

If you are ever in the D.C. area, we'll visit Ford's Theater together. I've been to events there, one of which was to celebrate the life of the great orator, Frederick Douglass, Lincoln's advisor, ally, and eulogist. I grew up in the North, but have lived in the D.C. area since 1984 (minus a year) and been a resident of Virginia since 1988. It amazes me how even today, perspectives differ between North and South about Lincoln and the Civil War.
from trinity63 :
Dude we need to take you out and get you drunk, you are way way way too uptight man.
from breathtaken1 :
You are wrong when you say Islam does not advocate war. They have been all about war throught the ages. Conversion by the sword. And they are directed to kill the unbelievers. The fanatics take this to heart, hence the many Islamic terror events happening around the world in many countries, most never make it to our mainstream news outlets. I am not saying that there are not many, many peaceful muslims. There are. But it is very much a religion of violence. Obviously. And, the only "peaceful" thing about them, is that one muslim is not allowed to act against another muslim. They are not allowed to speak out against them. They are not allowed to disagree. Do you want that kind of mentality here? Do you? I think not.
from breathtaken1 :
Thanks for your comments. I actually agree with you about the whole rep/dem thing to a large extent. Unfortunately, I don't think it is going to change anytime soon, so we have to work with what we have. HOWEVER about the war on terror, I believe that is totally an issue. Their are men out there who want to wipe out our lives as we know them. They are not going away unless we wipe them out first. I believe this to the deepest core of my being. I believe there is an attempt by Islam afoot to convert the world again, as they have done in the past. Their favorite method is by killing the infidels, and therby threatening the rest. I will not give in to that kind of bullying. I don't want my county to, either. This is one of those big picture issues, and I think everyone needs to get informed, and see it for themselves.
from breathtaken1 :
I just read your entry about rape...if you have not read them yet, you would like The Lovely Bones, and Lucky, both by Alice Sebold. One is fiction, the other non-fiction. Both stem from her own experience.

from bonnylisbon :
Have you ever seen the show Curb Your Enthusiasm? It's based on the life of Larry David, one of the creators of Seinfeld. Anyhow, his show is so hilarious to me because he's constantly getting into trouble, constantly being put into the most awkward positions and circumstances because of the weird stuff he does, because he's basically oblivious. The show makes me laugh, but cringe as well because some of the stuff is just like, "C'mon buddy! You had to see that coming!" I feel like, if I go back and read some of my diaries, I will cringe a whole lot and just think, "god, that was so fucking obviouse!" You know what I mean?
from ruachadonai :
Thanks! I do feel better. I will continue to write no matter what, but it is my current boyfriend, not my ex, that I am worried about.

I am not being spiteful until I start calling you names like 'rascal' or 'weasel' and throw produce at you. Those are usually the hallmarks of me getting nasty. Furthermore, I said, "live" and excluded 'travel' because living with people is different than a friendly visit -while those are still useful experiences. I am sorry my note hurt your feelings and I realize that you asked me to email you, but you do not email me thus communicating that this is what notes, comments, etc are for. You soapboxing in my comments led me to believe that this is how you wanted to communicate.
from spritopias :
I whole-heartedly reject your notion than any right leaning is 'fascist' and any left leaning in 'socialist' Those of you who have always lived in North America have no idea what that really means. Live in another country for three, five, seven years and come back and tell me about facism and socialism.

From what I have learned from reading 'The Art of War', if this administration is readministered, it must be destroyed from the inside. The resistance must be smart about the tactical warfare they adhere. You are right, I do feel that an all out lynching of the bush administration is only a temporary endulgence, it must be drawn out in order to savor the glory of victory. For if he does "win" again, the 228 year old experiment will end.
from iamhubpluh :
Hey! Question: if you hate both Kerry and Bush, why do you have banners to support and join thier campaign? That's kinda silly. i agree with you about the republican party being racist and homophobic. however, i think the mary cheny comment was completly uncessesary and it made him look bad. it was like "o yea, remeber the vp has a gay daughter. none of my offspring are homosexual. ha!" and speaking of offspring, i find it funny that peopole accused clinton of not being able to run the country because he couldnt run his own marriage. well the bush twisn are buck wild, and mary cheny is a lesbian, so how good are they are running their families?? and the republican party should not be happy with bush or dick. they both made huge suck ass errors in their debates which HOPEFULLY will cost them votes.

from anginthebox :
I agree with with you when you said that I can write anything in my diary. What happened was that I made good friendships with several people on my buddy list. I felt that I couldn't put my true feelings down because, knowing these people, I didn't want to say anything to offend them. For example, If I had a political view that differed than yours, I wouldn't feel right dedicating an entire entry bashing your view (even if I wanted to) because I'd be worried about offending you. That's what its about.

Maybe I didn't make myself clear. I'm not trying to escape reality. It just became more about keeping up with other people's diaries, and trying to make my diary "appealing" to other people that I realized that it wasn't really my diary anymore. I actually began leaving stuff out because I knew that other people (people that I have communicated with) would read them. That's what I mean by "responsibility". I felt like I had to present myself in a certain way. I know it may seem wierd but that's honestly how I began feeling. I still have a diary on diaryland but I've decided not to communicate (as much) with people who read my new diary. That way, I can put my real feelings down and not care that other people are reading it - because I haven't made a connection with them. Hope that makes a little more sense.
from aeka :
That was beautiful...thank you.

Thanks for your note! The Bush twins do seem extremely spoiled and snobby. They've probably never had to work for anything in their entire lives, and they think that everyone should love them because they think that we should be thinking "Oh, aren't they so cute". Heck no. Lol thanks for your note!
from sunnflower :
Hi - thanks always for your kind notes. I didn't read you whole last entry about the debates (because it was rather huge and included transcript excerpts) but I get your drift. I think it would be good to get candidates like Ralph Nader, for instance, up there debating too, just on general principle. The way it is set up now does make it a 2 party event. Interesting perspective, Hamiltonian.
from gutterpoet :
Sir, A very thoughtful entry. Indeed, the collusion between the media and the two parties in power to stifle the growth of any competing third party is scandalous. Currently both parties are using their appointees in our court system with ruling after ruling in an attempt to snuff out actual choice for the American people. It is time this is exposed and the tide turned against the corrupt system currently in place.
from dangerspouse :
Hey, thanks very much for the nice note at my place. I enjoyed reading your current entry - but where do you find the time to research and post all that?! I am very envious - and impressed. Maybe it's a damning portrayal of myself, but I found my favorite part of your current entry was the Calvin and Hobbes quote at the beginning. Keep fighting the Good Fight!
from ima-bandgeek :
I have a new rule here, so I thought I should let everyone know. To be listed as one of my favorites, you must list me as one of yours. Sounds kind of selfish (I'm kind of paranoid, I know), but I don't see the point of linking to people who don't read my diary here, especially with the extreme lack (or complete absence) of involvement. So if you could just do that, that would be awesome! I'll give you a couple weeks, but if I'm still not listed, I'll take you off my favs. So thanks in advance! ♥ ~owyn~

from vikingmaiden :
Well, I love you for your links, too ;). I'm on AIM but you're not, so that's not cool.
from vikingmaiden :
I love you for your Lincoln quotes.
from for-you-only :
By the way, the wide stuff wont fit in there well, but the tall stuff will.
from for-you-only :
Okay, to make a box, put this in your layout somewhere: <style type="text/css"> .stuff { width: 200; position: absolute; top: 400; left: 0; height: 350; background-color: #000000; border-left: "red" 1px solid; border-right: "red" 1px solid; border-bottom: "red" 1px solid; border-top: "red" 1px solid; padding: 2px; </style> </head> <div class=stuff> TEXT AND CODES THAT SHOULD SHOW UP IN BOX GO HERE!!!! </div> I estimated where it should go. Fool around with the numbers to move it around your layout. You may need to move other things over to put it in. To put all the stuff in it, simple take the codes that makes them appear and put them in the box. :)
from idleboy22 :
Hey thanks for the comment, cool for someone like me to get noticed by someone like yourself. Haven't had time to read into your life yet but I'll be back. I'm totaly hearing what your saying about the ups and downs. Later
from for-you-only :
The layout is looking MUCH better. My other peice of advice for you would be to move all that stuff at the bottom either into a linked entry or, so that it can be easily seen into a box at one side. Do you know how to make a box? If not, I can tell you how. :)
from vikingmaiden :
Gal, I hope you're feeling better by the time you read this note. I just want you to know that I'm here for you, and as usual, I feel just the way you do. Nothing fucking makes sense and it's like some unknown force is playing tug-of-war with my life. I know exactly what you mean. I guess we all have our really, really bad times as apposed to our somewhat bad times. So just keep in mind that as long as your life really sucks right now, it can only get better. And try to remember all the times in the past when it was so much worse, and turn your thoughts into something like, "Well, I'm a lot better off now because I'm not working there," or "I'm better off because I don't live with my fucking parents." You know what I mean. Anyway, this rambling note is over... please take care. Email me if you want, I'm always here.
from lousrose :
"I am sick of going up and down in this storm. I want off this rocky ship and this journey into hell..." god, yes fucking exactly. i am feeling so jerked back and forth. i will be ok one day and the next day every fucking thing has hit the fan but, i don't really talk about it so nobody ever knows. i feel for you though. you can email or IM me about it anytime too. i left you a note under my other diary, i write in more detail in that but not even a lot and barely anyone reads it. i shouldn't even be afraid of talking about it, i don't think people read lousrose enough to be worried and follow the notes i send to others. anyway *hugs* i can relate to you now very much and i hope this cycle stops. do the best you can and remember you've got friends! <3 whit
from spritopias :
I don't debate people, I've retired from the debate community. I did it for six years, coached it for two years. Unless you really want to debate I am not willing.
from spritopias :
Perhaps, but who will run? Who has a better platform? No one can match us. Tisk, tisk.
from aeka :
I will confess that a few months back, I was very apprehensive about this particular election. But after the presidential debates, my skeptcicism and pessimism has died down somewhat. So, I AM very confident and hopeful that our government will move once more, in the right course. These past debates (I think) have really made the people trust Kerry...and, who wouldn't vote for the taller, more intelligent candidate? lol. Only a month away! And, I've made my choice: Kerry.
from pandionna :
If George Bush wins in November, I'll bet there will be a lot of new faces in CANADA, heh. Hope things get better for you. Hugs!
from bonnylisbon :
I don't write e-mails often and I can't respond as often as I like because I can't do it on my computer, something's wrong with it, so I go to the local library. I WILL e-mail you soon though, and I want to hear ALL about your experience in the South!
from vikingmaiden :
:) You were in my dream last night, sort of. hahaha... I love Quizilla. Now I'm off to check my email. Did you review my article yet?
from giantkiller :
Thanks for all your compliments and involvement in my surveys. It's VERY much appreciated.
from xxhollowxx :
Hi! I locked my diary a while ago, and failed to give the password and whatnot to the people who read my diary. So, just eter in xxhollowxx and destijl as the password.
from vikingmaiden :
Yeah, I guess it was ;). Why? Are you apposed to jean and ass entries?
from raven72d :
There is an underlying thread behind the things I despise. (I'll add Tom Paine to the list-- yay, Burke; boo, Paine) I like the idea of a structured, ordered society, with a serious presence abroad, the ability and will to punish Foreigners and Natives for their transgressions, enough confidence in itself and a strong enough social safety net to support libertinism (but *never* libertarianism), and a politics with a certain aesthetic sense. My own heroes... hmmmm...well, inter alia, Augustus, Edmund Burke, Marcus Aurelius, the younger Pitt, Darwin, Sir Aurel Stein...and, I suppose, Tokugawa Ieyasu...Among many others. But I hate equally Coulter, Moore, and Chomsky...and prudes and puritans. I really hate prudes and puritans. Almost as much as the Quebecois.
from raven72d :
Let's see... I admire Alex Hamilton and John Marshall and Dick Cheney. I despise Ann Coulter and Ayn Rand and Gandhi and Noam Chomsky and Michael Moore. I will vote for Bush precisely because he invaded Iraq and Afghanistan. I despise libertarians, religious and social conservatives, multiculturalists, and followers of Foucault and Ludwig von Mises.
from bonnylisbon :
I know that New Orleans is the South, but I've always pictured it completely different. Creepy and magical, in a good way, you know? Why do you consider it "the asshole" of the world was it? Or country?
from bindyree :
Thanks for the compliment regarding the sunset photo. I have found that the best way to take a picture of a sunset is to wait until the day is nearly complete and point the camera west. :-) Oh, and also, it helps to live in a pretty place with a third story west-facing picture window. Good luck!
from leslieirene :
Thank you for the nice note. :) Sorry I didn't respond sooner; my computer is dying a slow death, and it does not like to catch an Internet connection very often! Thanks again, Leslie :)
from favoritegirl :
ah, yes, that profound comment should have come from this persona. i apologize for the confusion. just so you know, i was being facetious. but no harm meant. i just had no idea how to reply to googiewaumer.
from aeka :
You quoted Henry! Oh, you are my favorite person right now...
from pandionna :
Ouch! So sorry you're having a rough go of it. I hope the tide changes soon. Hugs!
from aeka :
Well, whatever happened, it sounds pretty bad...
from ashtraygurl :
how very profound.
from fragilegirl8 :
Thanks for the comments....
from aeka :
lol. It was actually a letter from a friend--nothing romantic at all, quite endearing, but not romantic. But sometimes, facing these things are better than avoiding them--that's just my opinion.
from bonnylisbon :
I do not have a picture of myself, sorry. Even if I did I wouldn't know how to send it to you, I'm still pretty retarded when it comes to computer stuff. Pretty much all I can do it type. Why did my last entry make you curious about how I look?
from dharmaqueen :
thanks for your note. i write as much as i can, but i only have a computer at work right now so i don't get to update as much as i'd like :(
from gutterpoet :
Indeed sir, as a card carrying member of the LP I will support all the candidates we have on the ticket.
from lauralgood :
hey. i will cheer up soon. hope to see you...love you lots. Laural
from bonnylisbon :
How could I forget?
from ambrianna :
It took me a minute of checking to realize who you were talking about... I had heard about Byrd from sources long since forgotten, so I actually just did a net search for both Byrd's and Thurmond's pasts to find an article that summed up the nasty bits. The two I chose were particularly critical ones, partly to emphasize my point but mostly because I'm outraged those two still kept getting elected. Malkin isn't someone I read or have heard much about, but after some more internet research I turned up a very alarming book of hers. I will not be linking to her as a credible source again.
from silkydesires :
Thanks for reading and letting me know. For some reason It makes me feel like Im venting to some one even if your unseen!! Ive read some of your stuff too. Very interesting. Please feel free to leave me a honest comment on my stuff. thanks for everything silky
from reviews-only :
(this is for-you-only) Your next lession is when ever you remind me, as you did. He he he. Okay, do yourself a favor and put all of your rings in an entry; copy all the ring codes in an entry, then, put on your main page a link to that entry. I beleive I already told you how to make a link. :) Also, another easy thing you can do, is change you background color, just type in <body bgcolor="red"> or some other color. There are only a few colors that work without getting into complex codes like black, white, red, blue, green, pink and yellow. :) Note me again whenever and I'll give you some more html tips.
from dopeslob :
i like everything about him..:). he's worn that shirt quite a bit in the photos i've seen of him. i'm not a stalker though, but i frequent his fan sites.
from carebear5781 :
thanks for the note. i cooked and cleaned and read and studied and vented in my diary and tried talking to my husband, but a short note from a stranger made me smile. the smallest things are sometimes the most appreciated.
from vikingmaiden :
Mmm. Good old Abe ;). And I was serious about that Lincoln diary ring, by the way. It's a disgrace that no one's made one yet.
from vikingmaiden :
You, my friend, *must marry me*. I love this entry, "Rise Above". Okay okay, it's not the optimism that I love so much. It's the Lincoln-ness. :) I love how you outlined so many major events in his life, how you're drawing from his struggles the inspiration to face your own demons, and, I LOVE THE QUOTES. :) Hang in there. Drop me and email if you get the chance. And by the way... was this the loooong in-the-works entry you were telling me about? ;) ... If you're a gold member, you should start a Lincoln ring, because I've been looking for one and it seems my searches have turned up empty because THERE ISN'T ONE. Isn't that an outrage? *shakes head*

from avataroftiff :
I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels like that. Thanks for saying so. I forgot to mention that I also have a bad habit of picking at my lip - I look so weird doing it. I thought of you last night while I was trying to sort through all the double-speak in the so-called "debate." I thought I was going to scream every time Bush repeated himself re: "changing positions" and "wrong war, wrong time." It's like, put a sock in it, already.
from bonnylisbon :
Have you lost your faith in humanity?
from ikss :
Oh my gosh...it's so funny that you just wrote me a note about the media, because I'm in the middle of writing a long rant about the Right-Wing media (inspired after I read your latest entry).
from ikss :
I love all of the quotes on your profile. :)
from hidefromyou :
Thanks. You and I agree on a lot of things, I can tell already. Plus I love your profile's quotes. Keep in touch and keep shining.
from pixeltastic :
i laughed out loud. actually chicken is off limits as well. YES KEITH AND I HAD ODD CODEWORDS IN OUR FRIENDSHIP.
from pixeltastic :
using the word pineapple. it's off limits. i think my diary has made that clear numerous times.
from dopeslob :
hey. lol, i didn't pick ms. pacman. i looked for a good picture, but i didn't find any. so i picked elijah wood. thanks though!
from pixeltastic :
that was cold. i had best run away bawling my eyes out of my trivial teenage angst problems.
from colorgrey :
i am impressed.
from colorgrey :
I was just introduced to him by a friend. I do like him a lot.
from aeka :
I didn't begin to truly respect until taking AP American History and learning about his nobel struggle regarding the Bank of the United States. While some may criticize him, I believe him to have been a brilliant man--the man who gave life to this economy. Of course, I also have a soft-spot for Jefferson (but I really dislike Jackson, because he fought to destroy what Hamilton had created), but to me, they were both truly great men. Also, who knew the odds of meeting someone who actually listens to Melt Banana? Excellent.
from aeka :
Oh, you mean there's more Bush-bashing? I'm definitely adding you as a favorite.
from aeka :
Let's see here...you like Hamilton, you have a hilarious pic of Bush at the bottom of your diary, and your Quizilla test results show you'll vote Kerry. In conclusion, your journal is WONDERFUL!
from pixeltastic :
well.. at least you're passionate aha.
from pixeltastic :
my comment amused me. i'm screenshooting that for my insane collection of screenshots.
from pixeltastic :
your diary is merely a collection of as much random shit you can throw onto that pixelated piece of paper, isn't it? i like that.
from avataroftiff :
I'm glad you liked my alarmist rant! I'll look for you online.
from atomicbuddha :
Thanks for the note. So you appreciate the half-baked, inconsistent, almost insane ramblings of a Zen Pagan 30-something redhead artist, eh? Niiice.
from shewhowalks :
Life is very well the journey. You're right. I hope, that from today on, your's becomes one that is stronger, and filled with love. For in love, you will find happiness. I did as you asked, it's no more....
from shewhowalks :
Fight the way you know how. If it's being depressed, and knowing it, then at least you know. And knowing is half the battle. It's a step by step, never ending process. But it all leads to the same outcome, it's the process that we learn from, and that we're to take from, not the ending.
from shewhowalks :
But see, you said it right there! You still strive for happiness. That's what it's about.
from shewhowalks :
I agree, completely. I think the people who give up at that point, who no longer strive for the joy of life, of happiness, are the ones who's life end right there, in that moment, even if they don't die. I've had more than my share of events that have torn me down, shattered me to the core, but I'm still living.
from lauralgood :
Hey you. Just wanted to tell you the tightness in my chest is gone this morning. thank goddess. I was getting worried. I think today will be ok. Keep happy and I will talk with you soon. Love Laural
from godsong :
Thank you very much. God bless.
from bonnylisbon :
Thank you kindly :)
from lousrose :
"It will be up as soon as possible..." what? the entry or the chili dog? :D
from finalscore :
i'm sorry something bad has happened to you. lousrose, though, just was not amused and was not able to understand your message because you didn't finish it. she was upset, and that's the side i could understand. i hope things become better for you.
from lousrose :
i was in a bad mood- but i am very irritated by politics now and how people are fanatical about it. people will constantly shove their views in your face even though all they will do is tell you that yours are wrong. literally, almost everyone willing to talk about politics right now sounds like a deaf nut. (not directed at you, but everything in culture and society.) so of course, when i say i don't like kerry and someone immediately posts some bad quotes from bush i will assume the worst. i am sorry i misunderstood if you were only trying to help. it looked as though you wanted a debate or were putting me and/or bush down because of one comment i said. since that wasn't the case i'm sorry i jumped on your back. and i am sorry you are going through some tough things right now- i am as well and just quit my job. you probably have a bad impression of me now but if you do ever want to talk please feel free to contact me. i'm usually not such a bitch lmao. and next time i won't assume things and i'll email you to talk it over. with the way some people act these days about bush and kerry and all the haters, it just seemed like an attack, that is why i said what i did. and, well, if you're pissed off i don't think you're going to mind if you're rude or not, lmao. this is no excuse but i wrote the note in the middle of the night, too, when i had a lot going on. normally i wouldn't have just told you off. my apologies.
from avataroftiff :
Thanks for your note. I just read your entry on the 18th, about your confrontation with your father. I'm impressed that you had the guts to have that conversation...and I'm not surprised that it didn't go well. I have not had a direct confrontation with my mother. Honestly, I wouldn't know where to begin. But the main reason is that I'm afraid. But I have said a few things to my sisters over the last year - I had never told them anything about my past with my mother before - and they completely denied any knowledge of what went on and what continues to go on. It's sad. As in your situation, my family enabled my mother's behavior. I think it's easier for people to side with the person who has the upper hand. It was easier for them to allow me to be hurt than to oppose her. Just wanted to let you know that I can relate.
from finalscore :
i understand you don't like bush and want kerry. i really don't like bush and i don't care if it's kerry or not, just as long as it's not bush. no, lourose doesn't agree with you or i, but it doesn't help to just put stupid things bush has said into her notes page. things like that will push people away who could be a swing voter -- and in fact, lousrose / whitney pretty much is. speaking with someone else's words and never gaining your own, won't help democrats nor anything you stand for. it doesn't help to push things into people's faces and expect them to swallow it. it bounces back to you, worse than before.
from lousrose :
i SAID i don't want a debate so don't fucking throw quotes in my notes page, that's rude and i wasn't talking to you.
from wendyrules :
We are all about fun in the IncrediRing. You will have to check out the others. Some of them are too funny. I will have to check yours out every now and then to see how you are doing.
from lostenboston :
hey thanks for the note! i read over your diary and noticed that you are into politics just a little and was wondering if you read my entry before the one with the dream. it was my massive rant about Dubya and my love for John Kerry. i'm gonna try and read more of your diary, its good stuff.
from vikingmaiden :
Been thinking of you, too!!! I hope you're well. I just caught up on all of your entries that I missed, and finally updated at my own diary. I'm a busy working girl now ;). Maybe I'll see you on AIM later?
from wendyrules :
Crap! I mean hamiltonian=Publius right? I apologize. I am not retarded just had too many names in my head.

Lobbyists. Ugh. What a dilemma for me. We have an advocacy division. I like to think our cause is more, ah, noble, than, say, the oil industry's or the mining industry's, but what's good for the goose... That said, I like John Edwards's ideas. And if we downsized D.C., I'd have no problem with it. It's too dang crowded here. The bigger the government, the bigger the satellite industries get, the more people move here, the more crowded it gets, the less real estate there is for ME! ;-) Seriously, though, government was never supposed to be this big.
from thirdeye7601 :
Hello there! You left me a message on my dairy, so I thought I would come check out your diary. Interesting stuff. I espcially like the Bush hating things on your page. I myself can't stand Bush because he is too freaking religious, and I think he is trying to make Americans believe as he does. Another reason that he pisses me off so is because he sent us to war on false pretenses. My hubby is military, and I will die if he gets sent over there and killed over there. I can't really tell my daughter that he died fighting for our country now can I? I would have to tell her the truth and that truth is that he died fighting someone else's war, and to put money in GW Bush's pocket. Anyway, I could go on forever. I am 100% democrat and I support what your site is saying. Please keep up all the postings to help those of us that read around here to learn and hopefully change America for the good.
from anigma :
Hello. Thanks for leaving me a note. Your diary is interesting. Personally, the reason I don't like Bush is because he tries to put religon back into law. I saw a quote from him saying he didn't think athiests should be citizens. I think that's terrible! Also, he's against gay marriages, and my view on that is simple: They aren't hurting anyone at all. Let them do as they please. ♥-Anigma
from gumphood :
I enjoy you political viewpoints. I do a little of that myself, but not in this dairy. GODDAMIIT> DIARY!!!! damn you milk farmers!
from ixora05 :
that's cool...most people think that because I am Asian I should not be commenting on such issues. Do you have MSN Messenger? I'd like to chat with you properly instead of via notes. my email address is [email protected].
from ixora05 :
haha I agree...I'm not American so I have no real say in this but I do agree that America was founded on wonderful ideals. wonder where they've gone. and I am glad someone else realised that Bush might not be the best guy to lead the country...although Kerry might not be much better.
from ixora05 :
muchas apologies, hamiltonian! we need more people like you. but I think you might make it a little clearer you don't support people like that. my friend saw the quotes too and she is a die hard feminist and she spent like half an hour yelling at me because she thought I supported what you said too. once again, my apologies. and if I had a vote, Bush wouldn't get it.
from sillygirl27 :
I don't think I could have said what you did in your last entry any better. Well done!
from ixora05 :
hi, thanks for the compliments on my diary--the dice are a new addition. sorry but just have something I gotta say--what's up with all the anti-feminist quotes in your profile? (yes I read everything) seriously, there are some feminists out there who do take it too far but the basis of feminism, which most women observe, is simply being considered on an equal footing together with men in all fair aspects. It is not about female superiority and should not be put down in the manner that you apparently support. if you truly believe in the quotes you have posted then I pity any women in your life because you don't think they should vote.
from alivetoyou :

Love your tribute to the Ramones. And actually, I did read Kerry's speech in an email that he sent me ;), but I'd like to read your commentary... and yet again, Diaryland isn't letting me see your entry. I don't know why I can read the one from today, but not from yesterday. Ah well. Could you email me "Kerry On Iraq"? Thanks, you're a doll :). Hope you're doing okay.

from eowynne :
Well, thanks... Do you know the feeling when you just can't write all the things you are thinking and feeling because there just aren't words for them, and even if there were, they wouldn't be right at all? That's why I get frustrated with my writing a lot - but it's worse when I speak. I write and hardly talk because I stammer a lot when I speak. So I want people to know I actually have a brain and I have words to say... So thanks for your words. It means a lot to me.
from caveofwonder :
Thanks for stopping by - had a quick scan and your diary seems pretty interesting, defo worth another read later on! Loving all the quotes, very random :D

oh, yeah...and i really, really hope you're okay with all of this hurricane crapola. let us know, won't you?
from hothead :
your guestbook hates me. i just left this there, but it's gone...so here goes again. you need to get your hands on a copy of "The Revolution Starts...Now" by Steve Earle. It's a brilliant album, complete with several anti-war/anti-bush tracks, a song called "F in the CC" and a love song to Condi Rice. I was sitting here listening and laughing and thought, who else would love this? and here i am. Peace out, homeslice.

!!!! You can't leave me! Who am I going to bash Bush with, late into the night? ;);) Well my friend, I really hope you don't have to leave New Orleans. Though I'd rather have you out of there if Ivan hits. I hope you find somewhere to go besides with your parents, but if you do have to go stay with them, just remember: One day at a time. (This feels strangely like an AA meeting ;)) Well, I already emailed you tonight so I guess this stalking should end here. Take care. -R

from silenttears4 :
I was really talking about your diaryrings. Just the names of them make me shudder.
from hothead :
wow. i don't have nearly as much to say as that last person. i don't have msn, but i'm all sorts of excited about the aol. ps...i think you're fantastic, scattered layout and all. :)
from eowynne :
What do I think of your diary itself? Well, it depends... you're talking to a reviewer here. The look of it, the content, both? Well, the content is OK. I don't like swearing and that bothers me ;p but I know what you mean about anxiety attacks... I get those ::a lot:: - they're horrid. ;p And they're so embarrassing to get in the middle of a class all of a sudden, and everyone stares and talks about you for the rest of the day, and the next day you think it's OK because everyone forgot - until you have another one, and the cycle starts again... And of course, that doesn't help the problem any. Now about the layout, I'm not fond of it at all. It confuses my eyes looking all around - I don't know what all the links are for, the D-land templates are ::annoying::! ;) And all those diaryrings at the bottom... Ugh. Putting them on the bottom of the page is bad enough, but then the content of ::those:: makes me laugh ::so hard::!!! I don't know if you realize how ridiculous they make you and your party look - childish name-calling, saying Bush is a tyrant, claiming Kerry knows what he's doing (even ::Kerry:: doesn't know what he stands for - how can the American people support someone who can't decide from day to day which side to stand on??)... And it goes on. So those give me the impression that you are very immature, which is a sad thing to think of you since you seem intelligent. Well, forgive me - I'm trying to battle a painkiller withdrawal after having surgery so I'm in a very depressed, hateful and angry mood, and I'm doing my best not to let it reflect in my notes I am writing. But I think I should stop here. Hopefully no hurt feelings! :)
from vikingmaiden :
Thanks for being around to listen and to read. It means more to me than you know.
from fragilegirl8 :
thanks, i guess
from silenttears4 :
Meh, ok whatever. Never liked history. Thanks for the note(s) anyways. I don't agree with you on politics though.
from eowynne :
What I don't like about your quotes on your profile page is, 1) are you trying to make fun of all those people by putting those quotes? Because you would probably understand them better if you knew the CONTEXT of them. And besides, several of them are ::sarcastic:: and many of them don't make any sense if you're trying to make fun of them. 2) I strongly dislike it when people take things out of context, and 3) How do I know you're not making them up if you don't tell me the resources? I can't trust something just because you said it. I'll accept it as your right to believe what you chose - but that doesn't mean I'll always UNDERSTAND what it is you believe...

ah yes, your erika's new partner in crime ;) thank you for the note honey. i have read a few of your entries too and they're very fascinating. keep writing, xoxo.
from silenttears4 :
I have a stupid question....what's Publius?
from amberfalls :
Thanks for the note. I always enjoy stopping by and reading your entries. I hope you have blue skies in your future. I can see mine clearing as soon as I get to Mexico.
from godmoney :
d'ya have the quote AC was fired for? the "go into Iraq, bomb their cities, convert them to xianity" one?
from godmoney :
wait! you're on our side! this makes me happy.
from eowynne :
Well, it's always nice to see there are still people out there like that - accepting people despite not liking what they say. Thanks.
from godmoney :
in that case, reciprocal snooping is called for. if you want to rifle around the thoughts in my head, a new user/ pass is called for. diann/ coulter. yes, i invented that one just for you. i wrote up my scholarship essay on how much i want to gouge her eyes out, actually. and the topic was "describe your accomplishments."
from eowynne :
Thanks for your note... but after reading your profile, I find it hard to believe that you would have truly felt that way about it...
from hornsofvenus :
sorry, i just started school and havent really had anything to write about. not writers block or anything, just not much has caught my eye recently.
from usa-nails :
Thank you! And rock on with the Suicide and Peaches! Oh, and I did read Art of Happiness last summer. It was very helpful, and got me to REALLY put my depression into perspective. And have you read Anger by Thich Nhat Hanh? It's mostly about dealing with anger, but I found it quite intreging!
from jadedwings49 :
Well I don't really know you, but I get worried about you at times...especially when you leave me a note saying that about the gun. Like I said I don't really know you, but I DO think you're stronger than that. And it took me a while to see his point of view, but now that I have I disagree with him as well. It seems like he's taking the easy way out. I'm glad it's not just me who disagrees though. Please, take care.
from cats-corner :
Apparently not. :-)
from hoochiepoet :
actually, yeah, the picnic was a pretty good time. though i spent most of it sitting on the sidelines.
from hothead :
the book (Life and Death in Shanghai) sounds amazing. i'll add it to the must read list. have you read Truth and Beauty by Ann Patchett? you might find it interesting...
from j-monster :
I have found the perfect cure for insomnia: just don't go to bed.
from gumphood :
I usually get gargamel. Nevertheless I don't try and pretend I bring any respect back to the "g's"
from sebastapol :
give me a shout if he wants me to take it down or something, i don't want to pinch someone elses stuff if i can help it
from sebastapol :
hey man! i found the picture doing a random google search for "scream" or something of that nature and liked the look of it. sorry i don't have any further details about it though! ps, nice diary mate!
from avataroftiff :
Thanks for stopping by and leaving me a note. Your site is like the louvre, you can't see it all on one visit. I'm here again to read your amazing quotes. Where do you get this stuff? Some of them chill me - especially the ones coming from that horrorshow, Bush - like the one about how atheists should not be considered citizens. What about the Buddhists? They don't worship a god, either. And what about people who worship other gods, like Allah (sp?)? Anyway, I like your diary - you are obviously a very passionate person and that makes your diary a compelling read. See you in church. ;)
from usa-nails :
But that's the thing, I don't know what I want any more. I don't like being depressed, or angry. There the feelings that I am most comfortable with, I've in some twisted way, grown to accept them. Not only that, but embrass them. I don't mind being angry, I don't know if I mind being depressed, though? I've known a few different ways of thinking, but this way just feels... right to me? I'd like to find some kind of happiness, it just doesn't seem possable right now.
from usa-nails :
That's all I've been doing. I've said many times that I am stuck, now more then anything, I am starting to believe it... Sad actually; I'm 13, and I'm stuck in a mind that won't stop pulling me back.
from blndsuicide :
yeah i know... its not a big deal at all...
from cut-ur-wrist :
sorry..thanx for caring. that makes one of us.
from rapedbylight :
Well ok your weird question was much appreciated. Later days.
from cut-ur-wrist :
whats the point no one cares
from westyrex :
OH yeah, I read Please Kill Me a couple of times. Great book!
from gumphood :
hi there. Is that really you on the hot or not?
from westyrex :
Anyone who loves the Dolls, Beth Littleford, Lewis Black, etc. and that means I LOVE YOU! I'll be reading now...
from cuteangel003 :
Thanks for the note. I feel much better now. I'm seeing a things a bit more clearly since I've had tim to sort through everything. Thanks again and have a great day!
from fibro-girl :
Thanks for the note. It's great that you caught me on an off-day. I'm so much more fun when I'm pissed off. After browsing through some of your entries to get an idea of who you are, the note felt very random. Those are the best ones.
from velvetclash :
coolness. thanks for the note. i updated my recent entry btw. have a look. :]
from vikingmaiden :
You're a sweetheart :). I hope you're doing okay. Drop me an email when you can, I miss you.
from rapedbylight :
Um no not really dude. Rather a random question. Heh. So do you read my diary or do you just like leaving random people messages? anyway PeAcE oUt
from silkydesires :
I had no idea anyone else read my diary except my friend. Thank you for leaving me a note. I appreciate it very much. Did u read the older entries also? I'm just curious. Although I knew it was an open diary I never thought anyone would read it and now I'm curious. Sorry. I'd love to hear from you.
from sillygirl27 :
Thanks so much....again!
from ambrianna :
If you'd like me to be educational, argue with me about your support for the Kerry/Edwards ticket. ;)
from madamewolf :
thanks for the note. the art on my profile is from www.gettyimages.com i don't know who the artist is.
from anginthebox :
I'm glad to hear that you went to the doctor and are now taking some medicine to help you!!
from lauralgood :

from lauralgood :
hey naughtier boy...what do you mean you have one of my shirts! I do have your watch and your razor...guess you have to come back to visit after all! Love Me.
from lauralgood :

from lauralgood :
hmm not as hot as the first one...hugs. laural
from vikingmaiden :
... or maybe Jonathan Swift. Yeah.
from vikingmaiden :
You're beautiful :). And don't put too much stock in Jonathon Swift's wisdom. Bitterness and defeat don't become you. Take care, my Traveling Friend.
from confrere :
Aww, you are really sweet. I hope your sunburn is better.
from bonnylisbon :
What's that they say in millions of movies? "Flattery will get you everywhere my boy." Oh what a laugh, you are entirely too kind to me. I hope you are well and as happy as humanly possible.
from groovyguru :
To answer your question directly... until they, the "TERRORISTS" are all dead. Hence "annilation".
from crimsonqueen :
Thank you.
from sunnflower :
I figured you had researched that deportation story but one of the things I have learned about that kind of story is that researching on the web can sometimes wind up with someone thinking something is true that is really not so true. The problem is that there are lots of sources on the web and some of them are good and some of them are not good. Snopes.com is good for checking out stories like this as well.
from hamiltonian :
I'm off to see the Wizard!
from quicky04 :
k, thanks, just wondering
from sunnflower :
I know you are concerned about the deportation issue you described in your last entry but I did some research on the McClurg story and I think it may be a scam. As far as I can tell, there is not one mention of this story in any paper or on any newswire. I'd be carefully about posting my email address on a list like the one you linked only because I would think the spam potential is very high.
from sunnflower :
Hi - thanks for stopping by and leaving me a note. I love any Alice picture and that one seemed quite appropriate to my entry regarding maximum lateness and the distress it creates.
from for-you-only :
Well, the first thing I would suggest, template wise for your profile would be taking all that stuff out of your profile and putting it in an entry, and link the entry. If you don't know how to make a link it's like this. If I were to link my diary I would write <a href="http://for-you-only.diaryland.com">My Diary</a> now, if I were to link a certain page in my diary, I just replace http://for-you-only.diaryland.com with the exact url for that page or other site. The title you want the link to have you would put where I wrote "my diary" Okay? First lesson over. :)
from lost-n-lov3 :
heh, i know i should...i'm busy all the time though.....write me on yahoo, i added you!! (roses_for_kurt) =)
from quicky04 :
just curious, but do i know you?
from ikss :
I honestly have no idea why anyone would listen to Karl Rove, but obviously a whole lot of Americans do. I am beginning to wonder if our collective stupidity doesn't merit our present leadership.
from lauralgood :
hey you. all is cool. picking you up tonight. please? love laural
from sillygirl27 :
Good luck this weekend with the family thing. I know the feeling, my family is totally nuts!
from confrere :
20 minutes of feedback doesn't sound all that appealing. I'll see if I can find it on Soulseek.
from vikingmaiden :
Tell Bill I say "Hi. Hello there." ;) But in all seriousness, I wish he had been president a few years later in Bush's place. Despite his moral flaws (which really don't reflect his ability to be a good leader) he was an excellent president.
from real-lies :
thankyou <3 xxx <3
from confrere :
I haven't heard much of his solo work. Is that album any good?
from vikingmaiden :
I'm afraid the last note you left me went over my head. But I'm hoping you were refering to vodka... ?
from bonnylisbon :
Oh don't quote me! I'm such a sap...
from hadassah :
Thanks so much. I have had a terrible day today, but your kind words made me smile.
from anginthebox :
I've been thinking about you too! Especially your problems with shaking. I hope you get that checked out soon and you're okay! Please let me know. I'll feel a lot better.
from for-you-only :
You have the most extensive profile ever. I'm surprized you mentioned/saw my quotes. Most people don't really read those things.
from vikingmaiden :
I love Thoreau :). Sadly, though, your entries still aren't showing up. Umm what else... oh, that Dubya picture is awesome, and so are you.
from vikingmaiden :
Grr, once again diaryland isn't allowing me to see your entries! Maybe drop me an email? -R
from candy-vomit :
Well hello back
from valkyrie1223 :
Oh sorry I thought for a second you lived near me. I also love I wish I designed it myslef but alas I did not. Most of the links I added myslef tho and everyone says the pictures looks like me .. wish it was.
from valkyrie1223 :

from shewhowalks :
Thanks, me too.
from rachjean :
Hello. Thank you bunches for the compliment. You have a nice diary yourslef. ~Rachel
from erica8378 :
I've been meaning to get a note off to you for over a week now. I wanted to say thanks for joining the Walmart Free diaryring I run. Things only change when we make them change!
from absinthesigh :
I love yours back. with love, ophelia
from confrere :
You mean industrial music? Noise? I listen to pretty much everything except country.
from j-monster :
Thank you so much for your note yesterday. I've been thinking about you as well, but the past couple weeks have been hellish and crazy-hectic, so I haven't had much chance to come here. I hope that you've been doing good if not at least okay.
from usa-nails :
Really? I find it kind of existential!
from cufluture :
thank you.
from foxinsnow :
thanks for the heads up!
from eternaljoe :
life has a way of totally fucking up at the wrong moments. i'm not gonna say i know exactly how you feel right now, but i know it hurts. stay strong.
from sillygirl27 :
Thank you very much!
from doommuffin :
yes i live in New Orleans...
from doommuffin :
hi there. thanks for the compliment then. my diary has been called many things before, but this is the first time its been called seductive..=)
from lauralgood :
that should say: (you nit-picky-word-tearer-a-parter-whom-i-love person!)and talk with me soon, yeah? Love Laural
from lauralgood :
hmm. yes i will agree with that comment, however, my point was (and you know this you nit-picky-word-tearer-a-parter-whom-i-love) that everyone should have access to the silliness that is marriage if they wish to give the commitment it takes. god you better come hang out with me soon. I want to hug you. Love L
from anginthebox :
I'm really sorry to hear about your loss. I hope that the you'll feel better as time goes by!

You too. Anyone who hates Bush as much as you seem to is a friend of mine.
from seanbrennan7 :
Hahahahha. thnx! i didn't think anyone would even care enough to read that shit!
from seanbrennan7 :
Whatcha getting addicted to?
from vikingmaiden :
Ah, eh, I should really read your entries before I leave a note so that I don't have to do this twice... I loved your entry "Just Shoot Me". You are my news column. :)
from vikingmaiden :
Not at all, darling! I just wanted to make sure there wasn't some inuendo in 'blah blah blah' that I was missing. ;)
from ikss :
right back atcha, bud! (Meaning: you rock, as well) :)
from lauralgood :
god i am annoying...just thinking of you. I dont know what else to say. Off to work. Laural
from doommuffin :
hi, thanks for the compliment about my journal. i assume it is a compliment...lol.
from myheartmelts :
Heey?! Do I know you?!
from lauralgood :
please be ok. Laural
from anginthebox :
I just wanted to let you know that I agree with you opinions on the bickering between political parties. The real issues seem to come second place compared to the "pock shots" made between parties.
from banefulvenus :
thank you. how did you find me?
from vikingmaiden :
??? I don't get your last note.
from lauralgood :
hmmm. Doing better today? Hope to talk with you. Laural
from pixie-led :
Thank you so much for stopping by and commenting. I really appreciate it. I am going to bookmark you and read your entries when I get this stack of paper work cleared out!
from ambrianna :
:) Thank you! I haven't been updating as much as I'd like lately, though.
from shewhowalks :
You can rant all you want. I agree with you. I hate when it gets petty, and people start to argue rather than debate on good terms. There's really no room for it, and it's completely childish.
from doommuffin :
You're welcome..=)
from krazieespy :
I also meant to thank you for joinign my john kerry ring.. Its taken me forever to sort through my emails.. Life is hectic :)
from krazieespy :
Hi again :) Thanks for joining my anti-atkins diaryring.. Sorry its taken forever to thank you but I do appreciate it :)
from artislifex :
why thank you :D
from anginthebox :
Thanks for recommending the author. I'll be sure to check it out. Thanks for the encouragement too!
from lauralgood :
hey...still love you. no frowny faces. sigh. Laural
from vikingmaiden :
username: poisongirl password: poisonedworld My father has been scaring me lately. This is just for security.
from punk-loser :
awesome! thanks for the recomendation. personally i thought understanding comics was a bunch of self indulgent tripe. even though it seems kind of juvenile and rather cheapened now that you can buy them from hot topic, but what do you think of some of the stuff on slave labor graphics like i feel sick, or JTHM? i love the art style on that, and most of the books are pretty hilarious, and crack me up everytime i read them.
from eowyn86 :
I love Elizabeth George Speare too, thanks for the note :-) I wish I could write like her... *Laura*
from bonnylisbon :
It's sad that that's true, isn't it? People can be so cruel...
from punk-loser :
are you a fan of mike allred's work at all (madman comics, ect.)? i think he brings that perfect old school of penciling back to the modern page of "manga-ized" comic art that i actually blame mcfarlane (well, and everyone at image) for initializing into comics. j. scott campbell isn't much help either.
from shewhowalks :
Is it any different from most?
from shewhowalks :
hmmmmm.......... care to elaborate??
from krazieespy :
moving sucks, but its worse when you move 1300 miles away from home. Thanks for the note

from ravynespeaks :
Thanks for joining my Enigma Diaryring!
from artislifex :
thankssssss
from punk-loser :
aaah, okay. iknow nothing of the man behind the legend (i haven't bothered reading excelsior), but i love his work. it is kinda funny how him and ole jack created some of the most powerful beings on the planet and didn't even know how to use them sometimes.
from bonnylisbon :
Oh I dislike George Bush as well... I hate him actually. What he's attempting to do to a woman's right to choose is just horrendous. Down with Bush! I've been saying it since he first stole office.
from punk-loser :
wow, your profile is painful to scroll thru... awesome! is that sarcasm twoards stan? i hope so, if not... well... i just don't know what i'm going to do. sit here and say "oh that's a shame"?
from bob-dole :
Your soul is mine forever, you can never have it back. Plus, after going to your damn profile... I think I deserved it... There's.. like... 10 quotes on there.... really... I read.. like..... two pages of them.. and then I realized the list was never-ending.... so I gave up. Did you know you forgot the best quote of all? -"The internet is a great way to get on the net."- Bob Dole. Add it. Now. Faster.
from sillygirl27 :
Yeah, and what's so fucked up about it...I don't remember why I said that. Oh well....
from onemoredub :
Well fuck you too.
from serenaville :
Thank you so much for stopping by! Gracious, but you are prolific with quotes and diaryrings! ;) I hope you'll visit my space again soon. Take care!
from stiddlefix :
great job on that last entry!
from bonnylisbon :
You know I don't care how fucked up this sounds, I'm going to take the risk of sounding like a total masochist though I'm not, I think it's much better to be mean to yourself, then to others. Is that weird, or what?
from bonnylisbon :
Oh you're too kind. I love reading your diary, and every time I go to your profile, I re-read the quotes. Anyhow, I was kind of reluctant to do the FUCK me thing at the top of my diary, I didn't want scary men to get the wrong idea. I didn't mean it in a sexual way like, " 'fuck me' the young girl purred..." you know what I mean? Not like that at all. I meant it how I say it when I get frustrated or exasperated. When I mess up on something or do something clumsy I go "fuck me," or the worst of the worst, "jesus fucking christ." Isn't that horrible?
from vikingmaiden :
I think if I were a guy I would be you. Sometimes we have a few too many random things in common, you know? ;) I just replied to your email... I hope things are okay with you. And you are nearly alone in your thinking that I am a 'cool gal', as you put it, but thank you. :):):)
from usa-nails :
I've always thought that Kerry stood more for the people. Bush is for the rich. And, Clinton... who knows what he was for? He was just obesessed with polls, and not necessarily the cause of the '90s. I was for Dean, I thought he would have made a wonderful presedint. Then Sharpten (sp). I mean, his speach at The Democratic National Convention; that was amazing. I thought it was heartfelt, and he really made it seem like change <i>is</i> coming. I hope by November I'll have my mind changed? Or, at least see Kerry in a different light?
from lonelylatina :
hello
from usa-nails :
If Bush wins, then the turning point is going to be an impeachment. (After all, we do have the charges to do so). Lets just hope that Kerry (who in my opinion hasnt said anything that would make me want him as out next president) will take office If he doesnt, Im becoming an anarchist, and moving to Canada.
from bonnylisbon :
isn't it though?
from anginthebox :
Thank you so much for adding me to your favorites. I'm still in Kansas so I can't really add an entry or add you to mine but I just read some of your entries and it's great. I'll talk to you as soon as I get back to my own state!!!
from lauralgood :
Hey you. Love you much for the kind words. I can't wait to see you again. You tell us what the doctor says ok? I will be thinking good thoughts for you. Love Laural
from tariqa :
That's the only hurricane I've ever gone through...with five children and a dog, all whining and terrified (partially because their dad had had to drive off into the traffic we'd just come through...and wouldn't be with us. The yard was a horrendous mess, but other than that...and no power for several days...we fared quite well. We were only in N. O. for a couple of years. My husband was an administrator brought in to integrate Touro Infirmary -- and that's another story! (Still only able to read your journal when you do special things with pictures.
from bonnylisbon :
Oh why thank you so much, you can bet your ass I'll be reading your diary now too!
from artislifex :
thank you doll. you like lewis black, you are my new best friend.
from lauralgood :
I still love you. Sorry your day sucked. Laural
from hamiltonian :
BLAH!!!!!
from onemoredub :
Excuse me?
from shadowaangel :
blah back
from stiddlefix :
hi. i got your request to join the mythologs diaryring. thanks for showing an interest. the purpose of this ring & the reason i set it up to require approval is to include only diaries that use myth or other fictionalisation/story as the primary means of expression. unless you plan on changing the format of your diary enirely to meet this requirement (not recommended, doing a fine job as is), you could use a different diary that is prodominantly mythologised or fictionalised. Let me know if you still want to join & we'll go from there.
from doommuffin :
wow? wow what? =)
from stamatina :
Wow- this naive Canadian had no idea Ann Coulter is such a pig. I wondered about her after I saw her quotes on your page- they really do speak for themselves. I'm glad your day is off to a better start.
from anginthebox :
Thanks so much. You should check out the website where I got it from, they had a lot of cool things on it you might be interested in. Thanks a lot. I alwo have to say - You're against porn! You're the only person I've made contact with that is apart of that diaryring!! You're cool!!!!
from jadedwings49 :
I am feeling much better. Thank you so much for your comment and for caring...it helps to know that people care. Take care of yourself!
from sessuali :
Thanks!!! That was sweet of you! I guess that I am not totally without stress eh!?!? Hahah!! Take care hon! Sessuali
from the-book-bag :
You know, I've never even heard of Mike Patton before! It kind of makes me curious about the song. I love the way you've done your profile! I love quotes! I used to have mine set up the same way...I should probably go through my quotes notebook and redo the profile with them again. -cat :-)
from eternaljoe :
hey...uh i don't really know what to say lol...but uh u said my diary was refreshing and i'm not sure what u meant by that...tho i'm glad sum1 enjoys it. haha. so yeah, u can leave me a note or w/e u feel like.tty soon.
from freakymandy :
thank you for leaving me a note.. it means so much :)
from funkychic88 :
hi u left me a note and i was just wondering who were you and what do we have in common? thanx
from vikingmaiden :
Thanks :). Do you know if The Fog of War can be rented right now, or do I have to wait? I want to go see Farenheit9/11 before it's out of theatres, but no one will go with me, hahaha.
from sillygirl27 :
Thanks so much.
from vikingmaiden :
And thanks for the links to the Lincoln books. :)
from vikingmaiden :
I enjoyed your entry on Hiroshima. I suppose that reason it wasn't in the news is simply because what we did to Japan made us look bad. We were wrong and the world knows it. AND THE U.S. CAN NEVER BE WRONG so of course, no one wants to bring it up. But it's important, like you said, and "if we don't learn from the past, we are destined to repeat it." Wish I could remember who said that. I emailed you back, by the way.
from crimsonqueen :
Thank you :)
from complexlogic :
<3
from lauralgood :
hey love. wanted to apologize for running out of our conversation like i did. an argument had started and i needed to deal with it. i looked at the movie link you sent me and it looks really great. I would like to see it. Love Laural
from complexlogic :
Thanks lovely. Oh so sweet. Take care of yourself doll.
from vikingmaiden :
That quiz was HILARIOUS! Thanks, I needed a good laugh at the man who is currently running my country and the man who spawned him. :) I love that Lincoln quote, by my personal favorite of his is, "The better part of one's life consists in his friendships." Would you tell me to get a life if you knew I could quote the entire Gettysburg Adress? I think it should be required reading. :) Take care. Good luck with the roaches.
from j-monster :
" 'It all gets better eventually, right? We have to believe that, otherwise what is the point of even trying to get through the day.' Well I don't know, sometimes I just don't know if it will. I don't try and think of the latter as I feel so damned." I suppose your right. I don't know. Lately I've been trying to be positive and think that at some point it will get better. Guess I'm having some wicked streak of optimism this week. Occasionally I have brief phases of actually being okay, and I cling to them when they arrive. It's like having some clarity and realizng that it's normal for life to go up and down. Then I don't fear the low moments quite as much, and they become easier to face, and eventually, the low moments become less and less frequent and not as severe. My guess is that it will all crash apart again, but I'd rather deal with that when it does happen and enjoy this while it lasts. Peace of mind is too hard to come by, as I'm sure you know. Try to find it, and if you can, don't let go of it.
from mr-knowitall :
The link didn't work :(
from stamatina :
Yes, 15 years ago...I'm THAT old. Actually I'm 37. Met G in my 3rd year of university...which would have made me 21 at the time, back in 1987. Actually I wouldn't go back to my 20s for even a minute, thanks very much ;)
from vikingmaiden :
Apparently, I am a Libertarian. Though I always thought I was a little left-winged, myself. :) I'll email you now.
from j-monster :
Ackk! I've been meaning to leave you a note for I don't even know how many days now, but every damned time I came here the site would crash. The world is against me these days, or at least the world here at diaryland. I hope you are doing okay. It all gets better eventually, right? We have to believe that, otherwise what is the point of even trying to get through the day.
from vikingmaiden :
Purgatory never really appealed to me, either. Although I don't think I'd mind hanging out with Virgil for a little while. I think I always had a crush on him. ... I also happen to think that the South Park quiz was rigged. I too ended up as Cartman! Perhaps it was the limited number of questions... hmm.
from vikingmaiden :
Jeez, once again it seems we have something totally random in common. I took the first one of those quizes, and although I am apparently not Abraham Lincoln (perhaps I tried too hard by saying I would be shot?) I AM George Washington. :) Excellent. You should try this quiz to see which level of Hell you'll end up on, according to the Immortal Poet, of course. Enjoy! http://www.4degreez.com/misc/dante-inferno-test.mv
from lauralgood :
I am so glad you are doing relatively ok. I hope you rent kill bill soon. it is wonderful. tell me what you think of it, yeah?
from vikingmaiden :
Thank you, hahaha. You know, I never did open that bottle... after today I wish I had. I'm going to take that quiz thing, and if it doesn't say that I'm Abraham Lincoln, I am going to smash this computer with my mouse pad. :)
from vikingmaiden :
HAH! No kidding! How cool. My father is a huge Civil War freak and Abraham Lincoln follower. I think between the two of us, we could actually start a religion ;-).
from vikingmaiden :
Thanks! I have a copy of The Wit and Wisdom of Abraham Lincoln (it was my father's) and I'll definately check the other one out. :-) Take care.
from vikingmaiden :
I just recently read a book called Lincoln At Gettysburg. If I wasn't five states away from my bedroom, I would tell you who the author is. I think you would enjoy the book. I'm also going to be buying Why Lincoln Matters. On a heavier note, I really hope you're feeling better. I've been reading your older entries and it seems you've been having a pretty rough time. All I can say is keep writing and hang in there. "It can't rain all the time." -Erika

I just had the chance to read most of your diary entires...I just wanted to say that I hope you're doing better. Once you get that blood pressure under control, you will start to feel much better physically, which is bound to help your emotional/mental state as well. Hopefully, that will be the push you need to start on the work it will take to repair the damage recently done. Hang in there!
from lost-visions :
Hey - thanks for the notes and concern... I'm doing good, just been busy as a one-legged man at a butt kicking contest. May be working on something new, the old format/everything is tiring me... it may be time to refresh the page of self or something like that - will let you know
from ladechat :
Staying busy keeps me out of trouble. Thanks for stopping by.
from vikingmaiden :
You're very well-versed when it comes to politics and the government in general. That's refreshing. I'm glad you like my diary, it's always strange and sort of cool to find out that someone actually reads that nonsense. I'm partial to Lincoln myself, but Hamilton certainly had it right most of the time.
from lauralgood :
cute is not bad but not when you don't want attention. it is a silly thing. happy Friday to you. Laural
from void :
:-D Glad you like my diary, it's always fun finding out that people actually read the shit I ramble about. Thanks
from cut-me-apart :
Yes, vodka is ALWAYS a good choice!!!
from lauralgood :
What you say is truth. Thank you for taking the time to encourage me. I shall get that book soon. Keep happy. L

Hey, how are you doing? I noticed you added me to your list so I've been reading your diary. It takes a strong person to go through what you are, and I congratulate you for making it this far. I think you're much stronger than I could ever be...than a lot of people could be. I hope that everything turns out alright for you in the end. Good luck, and stay strong! -Chanel

Thanks so much for saying such a nice thing about my diary. It is a labor of love so I am really glad that it has a positive impact and feel to it. Hang in there in the midst of your troubles. Sometimes my troubled times have wound up working to my benefit in the end. Hope it works that way for you.
